Each room is decorated with a variety of Victorian furniture and named after something musical. This is the place where we discovered their very yummy hot apple cider! Breakfast was filling and yummy. I believe we had French Toast with a size of fresh fruits and tea/coffee. We usually come up to Lancaster to go to our favorite restaurant there, Dienner's Country Restaurant. While we were here, we also got a chance to visit Jennie's Diner, conveniently located right across the street. There are no TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed that idea it gave us a more intimate setting. We ended up playing cards and with the chess set available in the nicely decorated living room (we were there during Christmas time). They were kind enough to take some pictures for us near the fireplace and Christmas tree. This time, like others, we went In December, and was able to enjoy our short time here. We were greeted warmly by Tim and Heidi again. I even got to enjoy some hot apple cider at breakfast! We enjoyed our time here and hope to visit again soon! :)

My girlfriend and I took a short trip to Amish Country for July 4 and stayed at Greystone Manor…read more The good far outweighed the bad. I'd rank it 4.5/5. We stayed in Room 1, the only room on the ground floor of the mansion. It was very warm and inviting throughout the mansion with complimentary beverages and snacks including water, Pennsylvania Dutch birch beer, Hershey's chocolates, and salty snacks from Herr's and Martin's. There were complimentary bottles of water for us in our rooms, too. Room 1 was pretty spacious in spite of having a king sized bed (which was incredibly comfortable). The bathroom had double doors with frosted glass panels, a very nice touch. I received a call prior to arriving making sure that we were coming and informing me of the check-in process (we checked ourselves in once on-site). At night, my girlfriend took advantage of the pool. While only five feet deep, she found it very refreshing. Strings of lights made the pool area very welcoming for those lounging poolside. Our stay ended with a very tasty breakfast prepared to order. Our server was very friendly, on top of everything and food was out very fast. I went with cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Everything that I ate was delicious. Assorted jellies and jams from the local Kauffman Orchards were available for my toast; I went with the strawberry jam and it was fantastic. We were asked if we needed housekeeping; being a one-night stay, we didn't, but it put me at ease being asked in case of future visits. The room needed a little updating - there were gaps in the wallpaper, there was a bit of paint missing here and there, and the stationary shower head needed treated with CLR. From what I can infer from previous reviews, the current owners have a lot on their hands trying to bring Greystone Manor back after years of neglect so I'll chalk these minor criticisms up to that. I am certain that they will only continue to improve Greystone Manor and I hope that we will be returning soon.

We stayed in the Courtney Room which was on the second floor. It was a small room but it was perfect for us! It was right off a shared living room but lucky for us, no one was in that room! When we arrived "home" later in the evening, there were some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us! We really enjoyed them and even took some up to the room for later! There's nothing that annoys me more than B&B operators who feel they have to be so nice and helpful that they smother you. The Lititz House wasn't like this at all. John and Heidi, the owners, made us feel like we were visiting friends, but were very professional and competent at the same time. Not an easy trick to pull off. The rooms were cozy, with bathrooms for all. Keeping in mind this is a 100 year old house, the retrofitting is mostly seamless. A couple of the bathrooms were on the small side, but no smaller than your own house. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee and juices are a standout. (I know that sounds silly, but they were fantastic)

It was nice to have a slice of pie, eggs and coffee. You get to meet the people who stay at the other farmhouse too. Everyone hangs out and chit chats for a while. The morning starts with farm chores if you want to go! The kids loved it. There's a refrigerator for you to put your goodies in. It's not too far from town but you will need a car. Plenty of room to walk, kick a ball, play games. I will warn you, T-Mobile service is terrible there! Not their fault. Verizon seems to work well. This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay.
