Such a beautiful place, and so relaxing! Everyone has been so nice! Very clean and a great place to spend our Anniversary!

We are leaving after 3 days here and I have to say I'm very sad to go. This place is top notch. The Tower suite is worth the money, TRUST ME. Its like your own little piece of heaven. It's tucked away off of Main St and the grounds are meticulous as is the Inn itself. Everything is so clean, everywhere. The 3 course breakfast is excellent and you can have coffee/hot chocolate any time of day or night. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Brenda, the Manager and Amy, the hostess. They are 10 stars all around. If thinking about a B&B in the Lancaster area, do yourself a favor and stay here.

We decided to bring in the NY somewhere from home but not too far away, quiet, relaxing and just us two.. very pleasant upkeep and loved the entire atmosphere. We would def love to be able to come again in the future.

The breakfast is FABULOUS and is better than a restaurant. My husband was able to add gorgeous roses and chocolate and snack basket onto our reservation for our anniversary. There are freshly baked cookies and other delicious treats available at all times, plus water and soda available in a fridge at no extra charge at all times. The owners seem very nice, and there is also a gift shop with honey and other neat items. The small caveats are: The website was NOT clear that the jacuzzi rooms do not have a stand up shower. We aren't really bath people so we were taken aback by that. However it's ok, we only spent two nights and we had a chill weekend so it was ok to relax in a bath one evening. Next, the toilet is really sluggish and clogs easily. And last, there is no thermostat in the individual rooms and we found it to be freezing cold (with that said, bring a hoodie or open the balcony door and it's fine). Anyway despite the little nit picks I still feel it is a five star place and would recommend!

We stayed in the Courtney Room which was on the second floor. It was a small room but it was perfect for us! It was right off a shared living room but lucky for us, no one was in that room! The B&B was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. We ended up walking to dinner and then did a mini-pub crawl! When we arrived "home" later in the evening, there were some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us! We really enjoyed them and even took some up to the room for later! The next morning we woke to find coffee in the living room at 7am. The coffee from Whiff Roasters was to die for! Breakfast was served later in the dining room and it was delicious! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the Lititz House Bed & Breakfast!!

There's nothing that annoys me more than B&B operators who feel they have to be so nice and helpful that they smother you. The Lititz House wasn't like this at all. John and Heidi, the owners, made us feel like we were visiting friends, but were very professional and competent at the same time. Not an easy trick to pull off. The rooms were cozy, with bathrooms for all. Keeping in mind this is a 100 year old house, the retrofitting is mostly seamless. A couple of the bathrooms were on the small side, but no smaller than your own house. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee and juices are a standout. (I know that sounds silly, but they were fantastic)

Quant, friendly, and relaxing…read more The 1777 Americana Inn Bed & Breakfast, or Americana for short, is a Bed and Breakfast made from a converted antique home. It's run by a lovely couple who have thought of almost everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Most of the accommodations is handled with little human interaction: book your room online, get a digital code to use on the door the day of your check in, fill out a sheet for when you want breakfast, and enjoy your room. Every piece of wall and floor is covered in charming decor, most likely from the local Amish community, from handmade rugs, to cute paintings, to little figurines and plaques with wholesome quotes. In the rooms themselves, printed signs in big print show instructions on how to use your amenities. Breakfast was the highlight of my experience. Each breakfast is a mix of fresh fruit, a breakfast cake or pastry, and a home-made meal that changes every day. A lot of time and effort went into making each meal special, all of which accompanied by coffee and juice. Each morning on our stay, we were greeted by the extremely friendly owners. During my stay, my wife and I found a few extra surprises that we didn't know were included when we originally booked our stay: A study that's perfect for reading or playing chess, complimentary snacks and whiskey, bath salts for our hot tub that was included in our room, complimentary Hulu streaming service. A booklet in our room had the history of the town, local attractions, and the best nearby restaurants for dining in and taking out. An outdoor area with nice chairs and a fire-pit. There were a few minor nitpicks that might be a bigger deal for you than they were for me: during our stay, the towel hanger on the wall fell off, most likely due to a lose screw. The thin walls made it possible to hear other guests and the occasional car outside. The TV in the room is so small, that it was difficult to enjoy. Americana is a wonderfully charming B&B experience that made our Pennsylvania trip all the more special.

The first level was the living room and had a big screen TV with Hulu live included, plus access to log in to any other streaming service you subscribe to. The second level was a jacuzzi tub. My only minor complaint is that you can't see the TV from the tub. But it's the perfect size for 2 people and soaking in it felt amazing. My back was a bit sore and the jacuzzi made it feel better. The 3rd level was the bedroom. It had a TV with all the streaming services available, assuming you subscribe to them. The bed seemed small but still comfy for two. 10% of each booking of The Patriot is donated to a rotating military charity quarterly. My girlfriend is a military veteran so she loved the military theme of the décor and the charitable contribution. You have the option of 2 Breakfast times (8:30 & 9:30), and breakfast both days I was there was delicious. French toast one day and breakfast tacos the next day. I devoured each mouth watering breakfast. As a bonus the inn is next to a brewery that has good beer, cocktails and food! What more could I expect from a B&B? I shall return!

While we waited there were some chairs facing a small pond which we eagerly used. Janae was as prompt as promised and took us inside to check us in and show us to our room. We were given the key to our room and code to the door to the house. Janae was absolutely wonderful. Friendly and helpful. Our room was well appointed, everything was nice. Odd though no television in our room ( no problem ) there was a radio though. Later we met David the owners son, he was pleasant and helpful too, giving us some ideas where we go for dinner. The house built in 1814 was wonderful.. Every time we turned around there was something new to spark our interest, the little details make all the difference. Our room was comfortable and the whole house was pristine. You can tell when someone really cares. I guess the owners were away, since we didn't get a chance to meet them. But Janae was great, she was there to serve breakfast, and we ate with another couple that came in that Friday night as well. Check out is a 10:00 and we did run a little late, but nothing was ever said about that. Were we comfortable? yes, were we happy we came? yes, would we come back? DEFINITELY. We come to the Lancaster several times a year, and we can see this becoming a place we would frequent again. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, the grounds are nice as well, but we were usually stuck by the pool I have been trying to drag all my friends with kids to Sue's place since my friend and I discovered back in Oct (?). It is just a wonderful place to come to. The B&B is a house with 4 rooms (5th as an add-on to another one only) and a enclosed pool area that has picnic seating and lounge chairs, hot tub and entry lounge area with a dining table that we used to eat dinners and lunches by the pool. The rooms were pretty quiet - the downstairs one is ADA compliant and ok for pets, but we loved this room most because it was open to the pool area. Just keep in mind that this room tends to run colder than the other 3 rooms in the house for those of you who are sensitive to the cold. Above the pool-side room is what I like to call "honeymoon suite" it has a nice bed area with deck overlooking the pool and upstairs bathroom (i didnt get to try all those fancy buttons on the whirlpool tub, but I did end up having a tri-head shower along the way) The other 2 rooms are smaller, but one has an en-suite and the other has the hall bath with the option to book the room next to it for bigger parties. Do you know what else is nice? Sue leaves the Netflix and Amazon logged in on the TVs - I did not have to go through the annoying task of loading all of my accounts on and trying to remember to log-off when I was leaving. It is a really nice touch. Let's move on to my favorite part - THE FOOD. Holy smokes Sue can cook. Sure, I love her fancier meals, but the more homestyle, comfy ones area just... wow. I feel about 3x bigger just saying this. She will keep feeding you if you are still hungry (Don't judge.. I did get seconds almost EVERY time). She has a little refrigerator and though to stock it with drinks (who ever remembers to bring bottle water anyway?) and freezer with ice cream (the kids went nuts). Sue also leaves out the Keurig and a baked good on the table so you can help yourself to your ever expanding waistline as you relax in this quiet little retreat. I've been to some of the most incredible B&Bs (stuffy and not quite-so), but as nice as those were, I felt like I could put my hair down, relax with the kids, and just ENJOY my time with them as the pandemic raged on outside what felt like "home" to me. GO...and keep going (but not when I go - jk). Eat, swim, stroll the grounds, sleep...and just RELAX and let Sue handle everything - she's made for this
