Each room is decorated with a variety of Victorian furniture and named after something musical. This is the place where we discovered their very yummy hot apple cider! Breakfast was filling and yummy. I believe we had French Toast with a size of fresh fruits and tea/coffee. We usually come up to Lancaster to go to our favorite restaurant there, Dienner's Country Restaurant. While we were here, we also got a chance to visit Jennie's Diner, conveniently located right across the street. There are no TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed that idea it gave us a more intimate setting. We ended up playing cards and with the chess set available in the nicely decorated living room (we were there during Christmas time). They were kind enough to take some pictures for us near the fireplace and Christmas tree. This time, like others, we went In December, and was able to enjoy our short time here. We were greeted warmly by Tim and Heidi again. I even got to enjoy some hot apple cider at breakfast! We enjoyed our time here and hope to visit again soon! :)

The place is very neat and clean and very nicely decorated. I would call it quaint. No TVs in the rooms which was just fine as we treated ourselves to a relaxing night in candlelight and the warm glow of the fireplace. We topped it off with a very nice bubble bath in our in-room jacuzzi. The location is in the Amish countryside, but only a mile away from the outlets and lots of restaurants (we highly recommend Checkers Bistro in Lancaster...top notch!) What an amazing little cottage! This is the perfect place to stay while visiting the PA Dutch…read morecountry. Located in the heart of town this little guest house and cottage has everything you could ask for and the owners are wonderful! You are within walking distance of 50 stores and can listen to the buggies pass all evening long and watch them from your front porch. The owners also give you a self guided driving tour which is a lot of fun. If your going to stay in the heart of PA Dutch country this is the place you'll want to be! BTW... the temp outside was 105 during our stay and the AC worked wonderfully!

Wayyyyy better than staying in one of the area hotels. Don and Ellen were extremely hospitable. They were able to accommodate our late check in time which we were very grateful of. They had snacks, coffee and tea 24/7 along with candy and games. The inn itself is very charming and I love all the decor. We stayed in the Sycamore room on the second floor. The bed was a little too soft for our liking but everything was super clean. They really thought of everything! The inn is within 10-15 min drive to all of the area attractions! The BEST part was the breakfast! Don was able to accommodate for dietary restrictions and the meals were delicious! Portions were large! We cannot wait to come back when we're in the area and will recommend to all of our friends and family!

We stayed in the Homestead Room which is one of the smaller rooms, and it was very comfortable and well furnished with shelves and hooks on which to hang things. The outside spaces are large and welcoming. The decor is very traditional and showcases primitive and farmhouse style throughout. The stairs are a bit steep, and there is some traffic noise as the inn is close to the road.

I woke up the sound of the friendly goat baaa'ing and the spectacular array of colors of the sky in Lancaster. Pristine grounds, wonderful country area but very close to "civilization" if you want to pop out to restaurants or stores (I didn't even rent a car and just grabbed a Lyft). Ben and Emma are excellent hosts. Ben will answer any question you have! Emma is a great cook, and also an amazing hostess who will answer your questions. I learned so much!! And a wonderful buggy ride!! And fresh eggs from the hens. Ben is kind to his animals which I appreciated. So a couple of things - there are open grates in all the rooms and the bathroom. I guess so that heat is evenly distributed. But this is a tad odd as it means like zero privacy through the rooms. Also, for an animal lover like me I really hope Ben (or his tenant) will get the mama cat on his property spayed - and the kittens.

Love the cozy house that we stayed at that had reading nooks, living room, working station, snacks, etc. The room we stayed at was called the Foxglove which is all the way up on the 3rd floor at the top of the stairs. It was very cozy with an electric fireplace and its own bathroom. It was very clean and felt like my own home. The best part was breakfast!! The juices, coffee, yogurt parfait, handmade chicken sausages...bomb!! I wish we could've enjoyed breakfast Sunday morning too but our flight left too early however Brad made us breakfast sandwiches to take to the airport!! Soooo sweet. They are the kindest, most thoughtful people and we had such great conversations with them during breakfast about everything - life, food recommendations, culture, travel, etc. They truly are amazing hosts. We stayed here for two nights and had a nice time. This is a guest cottage located on an Amish…read morefarm. You get the whole cottage to yourselves. The kitchen is fully equipped. Kerig, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge all there. It's a simple set up. There is electricity (though two of the lights did not work when we were there so the kitchen was quite dim), a wall unit for AC and heat. No wifi. As the wall unit is in the living room/kitchen, the bedrooms can get stuffy. There are fans in the bedrooms but that's something to be mindful of. Anna brings breakfast between 8-8:30 in the mornings on all days except Sundays. Breakfast consists of yogurt parfait, homemade bread, and marmalade and butter. Anna did bring us some eggs (have to cook them yourself) and orange juice. We didn't have too much interaction apart from that with the family. Anna said they wake up at 5 AM to start farm chores (yikes!!). While we had an overall nice experience, we did spot some creepy crawlers around. Not mice or roaches or anything like that but there are plenty of cobwebs that could use a good dusting and small spiders so either be okay with that or don't look up at the ceiling or at corners. Just subtracting one star for that. Otherwise we had a good time here.
