We called the number on the door and the call was immediately answered by Brian, one of the owners. He was very kind and walked us through the process of checking in, which was very easy. The other guests that we encountered were also very pleasant. The BNB is located on Main Street with many option within walking distant for dinner. I had worried that there might be a lot of street noise from traffic - nothing to worry about because most of the businesses are not opened late. The breakfast was made each morning by a wonderfully helpful woman, Cindy. She answered questions about the area and where to visit. The room was pleasant and most importantly the bed was comfortable. We would definitely return here again and recommend it to friends.

The breakfast is FABULOUS and is better than a restaurant. My husband was able to add gorgeous roses and chocolate and snack basket onto our reservation for our anniversary. There are freshly baked cookies and other delicious treats available at all times, plus water and soda available in a fridge at no extra charge at all times. The owners seem very nice, and there is also a gift shop with honey and other neat items. The small caveats are: The website was NOT clear that the jacuzzi rooms do not have a stand up shower. We aren't really bath people so we were taken aback by that. However it's ok, we only spent two nights and we had a chill weekend so it was ok to relax in a bath one evening. Next, the toilet is really sluggish and clogs easily. And last, there is no thermostat in the individual rooms and we found it to be freezing cold (with that said, bring a hoodie or open the balcony door and it's fine). Anyway despite the little nit picks I still feel it is a five star place and would recommend!

J. Bowman House. During my stay found The E. J. Bowman House to be everything a bed and breakfast should be plus some. It's an 1860's Italianate Victorian home that has been completely redone and painstakingly renovated into a bed and breakfast by its owners, Diane and Scott O'Donnell. Diane is really not only the best of hosts but a truly warm and caring person, and one loaded with local information. As far as a bed and breakfast host, they don't come any better than Diane. The facilities of the Bowman House couldn't be better from the eye catching touches of Victorian furnishings and décor down to all the conveniences of private bathrooms, rooms with Wi-Fi and writing desks, robes, hair dryers, and personal controls for air conditioning and heat.

The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.
