The koi pond in the garden

I stayed here during July 4th weekend, and had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful. We had a very enjoyable visit. Scott and Diane, the innkeepers are wonderful people. The breakfast each morning was delicious, each morning we experienced a 3 course breakfast, homemade with fresh ingredients. Some of the ingredients were even picked from the garden at the inn. There was even a kitchenette we had access to during the day, which had PLENTY of delicious snack and beverages. The home is also beautiful, and the garden simply amazing. I wish I was as talented as the innkeepers, and could keep a garden as beautiful in my home. The price was also very reasonable. If I have another opportunity my husband and I will definitely be staying here again! We had a wonderful, and relaxing time.

Being our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast, we were not exactly sure what to expect. It met and exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was homey and had all the comforts of home and more. We really enjoyed meeting the innkeepers, Diane and Scott. It was also nice to sit and have an amazing and very delicious breakfast with Diane and the other visitors. Diane was even able to get us a visit to eat dinner with an Amish lady and her son. We had a blast and will definitely be back!

Beautiful place. Nice innkeepers. The suite was well worth the price just for the whirlpool tub alone. Beautifully renovated.

Loved the stay. Proprietors were as charming as the property. If we ever have to stay in Lancaster again, we'll be looking here first.

Lovely hosts, and a cozy feel - as if it was your home away from home. Breakfast was homemade from scratch and delicious.

We stayed in the Courtney Room which was on the second floor. It was a small room but it was perfect for us! It was right off a shared living room but lucky for us, no one was in that room! The B&B was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. We ended up walking to dinner and then did a mini-pub crawl! When we arrived "home" later in the evening, there were some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us! We really enjoyed them and even took some up to the room for later! The next morning we woke to find coffee in the living room at 7am. The coffee from Whiff Roasters was to die for! Breakfast was served later in the dining room and it was delicious! Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the Lititz House Bed & Breakfast!!

There's nothing that annoys me more than B&B operators who feel they have to be so nice and helpful that they smother you. The Lititz House wasn't like this at all. John and Heidi, the owners, made us feel like we were visiting friends, but were very professional and competent at the same time. Not an easy trick to pull off. The rooms were cozy, with bathrooms for all. Keeping in mind this is a 100 year old house, the retrofitting is mostly seamless. A couple of the bathrooms were on the small side, but no smaller than your own house. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee and juices are a standout. (I know that sounds silly, but they were fantastic)

Love the cozy house that we stayed at that had reading nooks, living room, working station, snacks, etc. The room we stayed at was called the Foxglove which is all the way up on the 3rd floor at the top of the stairs. It was very cozy with an electric fireplace and its own bathroom. It was very clean and felt like my own home. The best part was breakfast!! The juices, coffee, yogurt parfait, handmade chicken sausages...bomb!! I wish we could've enjoyed breakfast Sunday morning too but our flight left too early however Brad made us breakfast sandwiches to take to the airport!! Soooo sweet. They are the kindest, most thoughtful people and we had such great conversations with them during breakfast about everything - life, food recommendations, culture, travel, etc. They truly are amazing hosts. I would stay here over & over again. Thank you Brad & Keith for a great weekend!

Denise and Al were both welcoming, friendly, and warm from start to finish. They were kind enough to allow us to check-in early with our 22 month old toddler, who was recovering from a fever, giving us a place to rest and recover when we had nowhere to go. The house is beautifully decorated with many Christmas decorations and personal touches from Denise and Al to highlight their history. The rooms were comfortable and had a private bathroom in each of them, saving us the trouble of having to navigate a shared bathroom. The breakfasts for our two night stay were different and delicious, with a nice balance between savoriness and sweetness. Parking in the back were spacious for multiple cars, and I think it's a perfect mini-getaway experience for friends and families that might want to rent out all four rooms. Lastly, the price is extremely fair and it was so comforting to hear Denise's rationale of charging how much she would be willing to pay herself if she was looking for a bed and breakfast herself. Overall, this was such a perfect find for us and we would love to come back in the future with our friends and family. Thank you Denise and Al for giving us such a memorable experience and for helping us take care of our 22 month old; perhaps the next time we meet again you'll see how much she has grown! Thank you for giving our second baby "a new beginning." Thank you for reading and definitely give A New Beginning Bed & Breakfast a try, I promise you won't regret it!

Each room is decorated with a variety of Victorian furniture and named after something musical. This is the place where we discovered their very yummy hot apple cider! Breakfast was filling and yummy. I believe we had French Toast with a size of fresh fruits and tea/coffee. We usually come up to Lancaster to go to our favorite restaurant there, Dienner's Country Restaurant. While we were here, we also got a chance to visit Jennie's Diner, conveniently located right across the street. There are no TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed that idea it gave us a more intimate setting. We ended up playing cards and with the chess set available in the nicely decorated living room (we were there during Christmas time). They were kind enough to take some pictures for us near the fireplace and Christmas tree. This time, like others, we went In December, and was able to enjoy our short time here. We topped it off with a very nice bubble bath in our in-room jacuzzi. The location is in the Amish countryside, but only a mile away from the outlets and lots of restaurants (we highly recommend Checkers Bistro in Lancaster...top notch!) All in all it was a great first experience and it definitely won't be our last. We could not recommend Candlelight Inn B&B more,
