Reasonably priced and centrally located, this hotel puts you within easy walking distance of just about everything worth seeing in downtown Lancaster. One of my favorite touches was the enclosed walkway between the parking garage and the hotel, where historic photographs line the walls, telling the story of the grand department store that once occupied the building before it was transformed into the Marriott you see today. It's a neat little glimpse into Lancaster's past. The parking garage is just around the corner and connects directly to the hotel via the skywalk. That said, I'd recommend pulling into the front entrance first to check in and unload your luggage before parking--it'll save you from hauling bags through the garage. We booked a corner room, and I think it's easily the best value in the hotel. The extra windows offer great views of downtown from two sides, making the room feel much more open and bright. The indoor pool is modest but perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. There's also a well-equipped fitness center and spa for anyone looking to unwind or keep up with their workout routine. Don't miss the rooftop restaurant and bar. It's well worth stopping in for the views alone, whether you're grabbing dinner or just enjoying a drink. One thing to know, though: at the time of writing, access is from the exterior entrance rather than directly through the hotel. Overall, if you're planning a visit to Lancaster or exploring Amish Country, this is an excellent place to stay. so let's begin with i came from out of town for a basketball tournament for my daughter. upon my arrival, i called the hotel bc i was a little confused to exactly where it was located. when i called the hotel, the individual who answered the phone just blurted out the address when i asked exactly where they were located and really couldn't give me any landmarks . but, i found it, so whatever. when checking in, i was not expecting an additional hold on my card of $150. i understand incidental charges, but they're normally not that high. and again, i understand different hotels have different fees, but i really wish hotels would disclose this information up front when booking so at least i have an idea of what to look forward to. so we get past the check in. parking is located in a parking garage which is connected to the hotel, kind of. the parking garage is also available to everyone else. so one night coming in late from a tournament, it was a little hard to find decent parking. which kinda sucks when it's already paid for. i will say overall the hotel was very beautiful and you can tell it's been recently updated, im assuming. the room was very nice & clean. the only thing i did not like was the sliding bathroom door. i think it takes away from privacy, and i feel like everyone outside the fore can hear whats happening inside the bathroom. i also don't understand hotels with a fridge in the room, but no microwave. the last thing i want to do is go down 17 stories just to heat up some leftovers . and it's only one microwave available (from what recall). i did visit the bar, Plough. it was nice. i ordered a cocktail, a glass of wine, and the halloumi .. pretty decent . lastly, i'm a little confused as to why i didn't get my points, and my reservation seemed to disappear after my stay. a little sketch. but tim trying to with the "up to 10 days" for it to show in my account . read more

Rooms are falling apart. Elevators don't work. And there is no hot water. Complaining about walls, clogged sinks and loose exposed outlets gets a friendly: "thank you, we'll tell engineering about it after you leave" but alas, problems persist every year we come back for a convention. This could be a great hotel if they close and renovate but in their current state they are not worthy of Bonvoy members right now. read more

Stayed here many times over the past few years. Overall its generally a 3 star stay but I'm happy to add another one as this year some problems of past years were solved. One of the biggest was disabling the card reader when choosing a floor. With 7,000+ attendees at this convention I barely saw a line all weekend, even at its peak. The parking system in our experience was smoother as well as they now implement paying by plate. We had to leave briefly for an emergency and were able to get out and back in quickly without our ticket, thanks to the plate reader. Staff at check in/out were also very helpful with a payment change as we had a gift card we wanted to apply to our balance. They made the change easily and gave us an updated bill. We also did early check in on the app so check in was a breeze and we went right to our room. Only complaint as to why this wasn't a 5 star was we had a connected room and could hear every conversation/crying baby noise in the room attached even with the door shut and locked. Luckily the people next to use were out by 10 each night but it was annoying/made us concerned we kept them up if they heard us. read more

WORST Marriott property! DO NOT stay here. No valet or bell service so WTF I could've stayed at a courtyard marriott for this treatment. The hotel place my FAMILY who is here for 4 days were placed in a room across the street from a rooftop bar. Needless to say the bar and loud crowd kept me and my family awake until 2am. I called the front desk and all they offered me was earbuds?! wtf... when reported to manger the next day, I told her it would be best to tell you guests especially with families about the noise. Andrea replied that Marriott is not responsible for disclaiming that since they are not aware of the guest sleep preferences... (read that again and if you're reaction was WTF then ok you get it...) Recently stayed for a weekend and while the rooms are nice, I would not return to this hotel. Arriving at the hotel, I was told my rate included free parking and was given directions to the parking lot. I wasn't told that I needed to provide my license plate to receive free parking. And I wasn't told the parking elevator was out of order. So, I had to lug several bags down stairs and out on the street to get back to the hotel. And I was charged for 2 days of parking. When I contacted the hotel on the day of departure, I was told that the city operates the parking garage and that since I didn't provide my license plate at check-in, the hotel couldn't or wouldn't do anything to honor the inclusion of parking in my rate. This was the hotel's error but they had no interest in trying to make it right. Overall, just a big headache. As a lifetime Gold member, I've been loyal to Marriott over the years but the service is lacking and there are better hotels in the area. read more

Title: Distressing theft, slow cooperation, and poor guest care I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but our experience at the Lancaster Marriott during a dance competition was traumatizing for my wife and teenage daughter. On January 2, 2026, my wife's bag was stolen from the hotel lobby. In addition to her cash, gift cards, and credit cards being taken her car keys were also in the bag, and her car was stolen from the attached garage. The hotel's "security team" was unhelpful and disengaged. They called the police, but when officers asked about cameras--given the lobby location and where the wallet was found--we were told the hotel required a search warrant for lobby footage. This delay, in our view, gave the thieves a head start. After taking names, security essentially walked away--no concern, no assistance, no follow-up support. For contrast, the Holiday Inn down the street where we ended up staying showed compassion without being asked: a welcome bag, breakfast, and drink vouchers. That's what caring looks like. When we contacted Marriott (before posting any reviews) their head of security and safety indicated that "because the items were not placed in the care or custody of the hotel" they are not responsible and "while we work cooperatively with the garage operator, access, surveillance, and vehicle activity within the garage fall outside the hotel's authority." While I understand the liability concerns on their part, taking zero responsibility for guest's safety while on premises is not acceptable. No one from the hotel itself, Marriott corporate, or Bonvoy ever reached out to check in our family, provide any follow-up, or even make any attempt to apologize and earn our future business. The hotel hid behind "procedures" and "not our garage," prioritizing liability over guest safety. No ownership, just deflection. I would recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Coming to the area for work, I selected this hotel hoping for a good experience. The "full-service" Marriotts have been hit and miss since the pandemic but this place knocked it out of the park. Before I even arrived, I received a wonderful welcome email, detailed instructions on how to park, what the hotel had to offer, and even some recommendations. Then I received a notification saying I had been given a complimentary upgrade for my Titanium and Elite for Life loyalty. This is very rare anymore and it reminds me of why I chose Marriott as a brand 10+ years ago. Once I arrived, I was greeted by some of the most friendly and welcoming staff I have seen at any brand of hotel pre or post pandemic. They seemed genuinely interested in the guest experience and it was greatly appreciated. The room was spotless! I always check the in room coffee machine to gauge whether the room has actually been fully cleaned or not (I'm weird about this part) and it was immaculate. The bar/restaurant staff was very friendly, the M Club was actually open and well serviced, and the Elite breakfast was actually pretty decent. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and if I'm in the area again, I will definitely choose this hotel for myself and my employees. read more

Lancaster Marriott hotel had larger rooms than others. It was quite busy during my stay due to five other weddings happening at the same time. I appreciated the pool, which seemed more geared toward kids, and I enjoyed using the virtual hiking machine in the fitness center. The staff was friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick. However, I would have appreciated more transparency about the construction out front, as it made the hotel difficult to find. The location met my expectations, though I was disappointed that the nearby pharmacy was partly empty and the hotel didn't have it, which is unusual for most places. read more

By far the worst Marriott property I have ever had the displeasure of staying at. No valet parking, hotel parking gararge full, no king bed as booked. I finally get to my room only to find out as i sit at the desk to find out, the connecting room is a family with kids and all they are doing is screaming, yelling and throwing themselves around the room. The hotel is extravagant from it's historically famed architecture from the face of the hotel as they kept the old Watt and Shand building facade intact. When you walk in you can feel how grand and regal this place is. It's also a convention center and can cater huge gatherings. The rooms are clean and furnishings modern. A quick 411 on the rooms and hotel: PROS: 1. Clean rooms 2. Safe box and refrigerator provided 3. Huge walk in shower 4. Coffee machine, coffee and tea provided. No creamer though 5. Integrated Console station to interface electronic devices to display on the TV. 6. Plenty of TV channels to choose from. 7. Plenty of storage space. 8. Elevators have added security- room key required to activate elevator. 9. Fitness and pool center 10. A Restaurant or two located in hotel 11. Starbucks- but they don't accept the Starbucks app. 12. Vending machines - beverages only 13. HVAC works well 14. Small business center CONS: 1. 32 inch TV considered by today's standard too small, well at least for me it is. 2. No complimentary bottled water in room 3. No free WiFi unless you are a Marriott Bonvoy member 4. No Pen or paper in room 5. Water in bathroom basin difficult to set water temperature. When hot water selected a simple 1/8 of a turn on the cold water handle and the hot water completely turns cold, probably requires adjustment. 6. No USB charging slots. 7. Daily Parking fee to use garage In a nutshell the Pros outweigh the cons. The staff here is super friendly. If you ever wanted to be treated like you were being processed to enter a maximum security prison, do check in at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. The desk staff seems to have real animosity for their guests, they won't even look at you or make you feel welcome. If you have a question, let's say about the garage, they will only half answer it while in disbelief that you asked it at all. Avoid this hotel and find a place where they are pleased you have returned again. read more

The Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square has undergone major changes in the last few years with the addition of a new hotel tower, new dining options, and a major renovation of the old hotel tower. The hotel is easy to find and depending on the event being hosted at the convention center, parking is easily accessible from the attached parking garage. Staff are excellent including the housekeeping staff. Hotel is in a very good location with access to many local dining options a short walk away, including the Lancaster Central Market. New dining options were added on site during the hotels changes that some might find useful. How do the renovated rooms look in the old hotel tower? Ugly. Rooms feel smaller than they were before and the floors are no longer carpeted. The biggest negative is the bathroom door is sliding with no lock, which I've seen before but doesn't make it any better. Good points include the soundproofing between rooms and comfortable beds. The hallways are even oddly dark, with much of that due to the choice of colors. Rooms in the new tower are actually slightly worse, they are smaller. Interestingly, the convention center has not yet been renovated to match the hotel. Overall, I still like the staff, location, and convention center but these rooms are a major step backwards for this hotel. read more

I injured myself slightly today when walking for local Food by tripping on a sidewalk and thank goodness it wasn't a lot worse. Some gauze started to heal with the injury but an acquaintance helped me get the gauze out properly. Then I cleaned my hands with soap and water to make sure all the dirt was out and then bandaged it up properly. Thank you Lancaster Marriott Penn Square for the band-aids and ointment!! read more

I typically do not take the time to write reviews unless something goes extraordinarily right, or wrong. This one was right. Having never stayed at this Marriott, I was curious about it and checked the reviews. To be honest, there were a lot of bad reviews. With some trepidation I booked any way due to location. We arrived earlier than expected, I fully expected to be told I'd need to wait for a room to be ready. I was waiting at check in and was called over to the desk by a man with a ton of great energy, Ash checked us in, found us our room and explained everything clearly. The next morning, when I realized I left my parking voucher in my room after checkout, the same man, Ash was there to bail me out and print me new one. Once again full of energy and very pleasant. I found the hotel overall to be clean and easy to navigate. it just goes to show you can't base everything off of negative reviews. read more

(4.8) The Marriot at Penn Square, located at the very center of Lancaster City is clean, welcoming, and convenient. The hotel withholds the exact standards that you expect a Marriot to have from the lobby, front desk, and rooms. This time around I stayed within a block of rooms reserved for a wedding and the prices were definitely reasonable. Although the wedding itself was at the Excelsior (approximately 3 very walkable blocks away), it did seem like there were 2-3 other weddings held at the Marriot over the course of the weekend. This tells me that it is a very popular place to get married and must come highly recommended. The restaurant itself has a breakfast restaurant, Two Kings, a dinner restaurant, The Plough, and a rooftop lounge. The Exchange. The night before the wedding we had a very large family dinner of approximately 24 people in a private room with great views of the town. The service was great and the food did not lack in quality, despite the quantities needed to serve us. The Two Kings breakfast spot was a bit lackluster for my taste. It looked as if it would be a great spot for brunch but essentially it was an overpriced continental breakfast ($18/pp) if I did not get it complimentary from a little mishap at check-in I don't know that I would have eaten there. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed is comfortable, the linens are soft and the desk has several AV accommodations if you need to work in your room. When reserving your room be sure to request a room with a city view, you won't regret it. Great hotel, with tons to see and eat close by! Definitely will be back! read more

We spent one night at the Marriott at Penn Square and enjoyed it. We were welcomed nicely and given a large, clean room. It's a big property adjacent to the Convention Center - really wasn't sure where the hotel ended and where the Convention Center began, but it was all very nice. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that opens pretty early (6:30??). The hotel is right in the center of town with plenty of things to walk to; shops, restaurants and bars, etc. We felt very safe here, but venturing more than a few blocks will bring you to the drunk crazy homeless people, so be careful. Parking was a little tricky, but we figured it out and once we did it was easy access into the hotel. I really liked this property and would certainly stay again when in Lancaster. read more

We recently stayed at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. It was a great central location, and very close to some good restaurants and the central market. The hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in the east tower, which is the new side of the building. Our room was very nice. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a cinderblock. They had a Starbucks in the hotel, but it always seemed to be closed. The most disappointing part of the whole trip was when we went to get in the elevator to leave the morning we were checking out and were greeted by a cockroach. You know once you see one there's more. We stopped at the desk to inform them of the bug in the elevator and left. read more

I travel weekly for work around the world and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. No lighting. No service. No BATHROOMS in the lobby! Even the "M Club" was a disgrace. They were out of all hot food. No one was around to help. So I tried Two Kings in the lobby for a breakfast I would pay for and first thing the hostesses spilt glassware on me. I have never had a worst experience at a... "hotel"? I've been treated better at a Days Inn for $49. Oh yeah and parking is ridiculous. No bellmen and you have to search for the parking garage based on directions from someone who doesn't speak English but knows how to over-charge you. read more

Had a lovely weekend at the Marriott. It was a good place to stay in Lancaster. Drove down and wanted to park in their garage. The pre-stay welcome email I got was very helpful and told me to put in an address on South Duke street for the garage, so drove straight there and then entered the hotel through the skybridge on the 2nd level of the garage. Walking in, you're immediately hit with that "Marriott smell". You probably know what I'm talking about...it's that scent profile Marriott uses in their lobbies. It's very strong in the hallway near the garage, so much so that at one point during the weekend someone unplugged the scent machine! Anyway, you can follow a ramp down to the lobby for check in. It was packed when I was there; they had three wedding parties staying at the hotel that weekend but check-in was friendly and relatively quick. On the way to the room, I stopped by Club M, which is the executive lounge on the first floor. It was okay. They had some snacks and drinks and the room looked nice, but the spread was a little basic. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We had a high floor so there were nice views out the window. I liked the decor, the layout, the TV. The bed and pillows were amazing! I went to the Marriott website to see about ordering some pillows but that came to a screeching halt when I saw they were over $80 a piece. They'd definitely be worth it so maybe I'll get some for Christmas. Never made it to the gym so can't comment on that, but overall the property is nice and in good shape. Lobby is recently renovated but there was still some work being done. Staff throughout was super friendly. Location is perfect...right across from the City Market, which is the place to go on a Saturday morning. Also close to a lot of fun dining options downtown. There were only two drawbacks: 1) Very weak spray in the shower. There was a huge showerhead but water just dripped out of it and regulating the temperature was not easy. 2) The elevators were slow and always crowded. There were only two elevators for a crowded hotel with 20+ floors. The lobby would clog up with people waiting and usually everyone couldn't fit on the first elevator that came so would have to wait for the next one, by which time more people would show up. They need to fix that ASAP. There was a third elevator but I never saw it in service. Would definitely recommend this place, just be prepared to wait for an elevator and don't expect an amazing shower. Otherwise, it's a terrific hotel. read more

Excellent service post pandemic. We were skeptical with some of the more recent reviews. However, we were treated with sincerity and respect. The ambience is excellent. The menu is also excellent. Family friendly. For Marriott Bonvoy members there is free breakfast on the main floor. it is located at the M club in the west tower. The breakfast was very good and there were many options. The servers for breakfast were kind and attentive. Our room on the 15th floor was very clean and the bathroom was very nice and the parking garage was very convenient. There is a covered walkway directly to the hotel. Enjoy.!!! read more

[989] 7/2019 We stayed at this Marriott location since we were going on a hot air balloon the following morning. This Marriott has plenty of paid parking in the parking structure next door. There are tons of places to eat in the area. The spot next door had a late live band (no worries can't hear from the hotel). It's a nice place to hang out especially for a younger crowd. The room was a large size and the bed were comfortable. This hotel had a concierge suite which was great for water, soda, snacks and dessert. They had breakfast food but we left before it was served. The staff was friendly. I would definitely be back. read more

The location is perfect. Literally in the middle of downtown Lancaster. We unknowingly booked a room during Zenkaikon so it was very busy during our stay. We only needed the room for showering and sleeping as we were out most of the day and night. The room was clean and very spacious. It had a small refrigerator and large bathroom. We had a corner room on the 14th floor. Great view of the square. Our one issue was the bed. It was terribly uncomfortable. One side almost seemed like it was broken, you would sink down once you put any weight on it. The pillows were also too soft. The bed/pillow set up gave no support. Even with that I would stay here again due to the location and service. We would just double check the bed before settling in. read more

We've stayed here a few times, and after this recent time, I'll offer both the good and the bad. The location of this hotel along with the architecture, the large lobby, the workout/pool/hot tub areas, and cleanliness were positives, and no issues with the front desk since they were all friendly. Since my husband is a titanium elite member, we've stayed at numerous Marriott properties. Although we like this property, the room wasn't supplied with bar soap, the shower dispensers were so high up that it was difficult to reach for anyone under 5'3", the newer shower handle was ridiculously flimsy (I heard others saying the same-very poor quality), not able to shut off the lights around the TV wooden area (originals seemed to have been replaced by flimsy stuck on lights (making it difficult to sleep), room phone was out of order, & the quality of the M Club offerings wasn't great. It has been over 9 days since I posted this on Google Reviews. I thought perhaps if I move it to Yelp it might get more notice??? (ARRIVAL DAY)--Worst experience at a hotel ever! Do not bring your children here. They advertise a pool and it was unavailable in the middle of July for my grandson to swim. That is the only reason we chose this hotel. In addition, the manager seemed quite unsympathetic to my 10-year old grandson's plight. In no way did she try to make it right for him. He was so sad and disappointed. How hard would it have been to offer him an apology , a lollipop, a burger, coupons to another pool... anything???? My husband and I are federal employees and have stayed at literally hundreds--maybe thousands--of hotels. Nothing has ever been this bad!!! (JOSH)--saw your reply here. Please reach out to me. There is more to the story and how it could've been made right for my grandson. We're trying to teach him things like you honor contracts and promises. When you don't honor your promises, you apologize and try to make it right. What kind of example is Marriott setting in terms of the Golden Rule? They did not honor their contract with us to have a working pool. We did not want a refund, but the minimum level of kindness and effort. It was a huge disappointment for him. It is also about the hour and a half that we wasted waiting in the lobby while they kept PROMISING THAT THE POOL WOULD BE OPEN ANY MOMENT! Your manager is heartless and could care less about anybody's TIME or DISAPPOINTMENTS. She truly did not seem to care at all. We're dealing with a 10-year-old little boy's feelings here. Kindness doesn't cost anything and there was no kindness coming from that manager. She was cold and wanted to get rid of us... fast! A little sensitivity training could go a long way here! (UPDATE Day 2): We are still here and things continue to get worse. I haven't heard from the manager, Josh, even though he seemed so concerned in his reply to me here. The pool is still not open for the second day in a row. I tried to order mushroom soup off the menu and it was unavailabe. Not many other choices. My husband just had a knee replacement and he was just forced to walk up six flights of stairs because the elevators are broken. We talked to the manager again and she just doubled down about the fact that the pool was not her problem. Things just go from bad to worse here. (UPDATE DAY 3): We are checking out this morning and nobody has reached out to us about our concerns yet. GREAT customer service, MARRIOTT! If we could give zero stars, we would have done so. (UPDATE DAY 6): As nice as General Manager, Josh Nowack's Day 1 response sounds, "Your feedback is valuable and will be taken into consideration." I have yet to see any evidence regarding WHO or WHOM is being taken into consideration. TASTE! Lancaster Festival Of Food, Wine & Spirits! This was the weekend event (12 Nov 2022) we attended at the Freedom Ballroom in this convention center, you could not ask for a better place. Our session was from 11am-3pm and it was just perfect. Just the right amount of people and vendors, no crowds, just normal flow through. There were many vendors offering wines, delicacies, brews, insurance, distilleries, a huge assortment in general. In the center there were local area chefs cooking and offering their fares to a seated audience, a really good show of gourmet dishes. You could also buy some wines and there were some reasonably priced ones. To us the high-light was the farmer with the beef brisket, out of this world delicious. He raises his own cows and was selling some frozen rib-eyes from his farm. They looked like they were tasty, well marbled. Expect to pay for parking on site, Duke St entrance. For us it was $7. From start to finish we had a wonderful time. We stayed two nights. Our room was very clean, modern, and spacious. This is a nice, clean hotel. It has a huge lobby with tons of seating options if you are looking to relax in between whatever you are doing during your stay, and our room had everything you would expect from a Marriott, including comfortable bedding and a good-sized closet. The gym was smaller than I expected with only a couple machines, but it gets the job done if you improvise different workouts. We did not try any of the restaurants in the hotel, but the rooftop bar looked very nice. I wish the Starbucks had later hours; I know I'm in the minority, but I drink coffee at night, and it was closed by the early afternoon each day. I only have two complaints. First, the parking garage was a bit out of the way and fills up very quickly. Many times we had to park on the upper-most level and then walk all the way from the back and through the whole hotel because there is only one elevator area. Second, this area is not the nicest. It has more of a downtown vibe than the countryside Amish areas of Lancaster if that is what you're looking for, but we were approached by homeless people multiple times just outside the hotel. There is also a prison right down the road, which is a bit of an eyesore when you are driving into town. read more

Stayed at this hotel two nights for a conference. After driving several hours, I was told that I could not check in because I did not have a copy of the company card that was used to reserve the room. I assumed from the emails I received upon booking that the room had been pre-paid for like every single other hotel I've stayed at in the past. I was lucky that my company's director had the card with them on a Sunday to complete a credit card authorization form from the hotel or else I would have had to turn around and drive several hours home. The manager on duty was rude and lacked empathy, she literally made me cry. I also witnessed her yelling at another customer for having a service dog. The parking is "attached" but is a far walk from the lobby, and you pay $15 a day to park your own vehicle in a garage. The room rate is far too high for the quality you receive. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so the paint is peeling. Shower leaked large amounts of water on the floor and had no hot water. Beds are not secured to anything and slide across the floor simply from rolling over. Bedding, pillows, and towels were cheap and uncomfortable to use. The only microwave available is in the lobby, so I would have had to come down from the 14th floor, heat my food, then attempt to take my hot meal back up to the 14th floor without spilling or burning myself. No thanks. The air conditioner made loud noises all night and barely cooled the room. I was woken up by the AC unit every 20-30 minutes. I would have requested a new room, but I did not want to interact with the manager again. I've stayed at cheaper hotels with better amenities. My room overlooked a local rooftop bar, so you could hear music at times. Curtains would not shut. The thermostat glowed a bright blue all night to the point that I had to stick a post-it note over it. They did have some gluten free options at breakfast and lunch, but none at dinner and requesting a special meal from the kitchen took 30-40 minutes to receive after being told it would be 10 minutes. The staff are not trained to handle ADA requests or to work with individuals with disabilities, especially the manager I had the displeasure of speaking with. I attached videos of what the AC unit sounded like, which I offered to staff to listen to and was told that wasn't "necessary." Overall, it was a poor experience for such a high-priced hotel. I expected more. Location is the only reason it was given 2 stars, there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Was charged for WiFi despite having the Marriott membership that is required for free WiFi. Can't wait to receive a generic copy and pasted response from "Josh." You can tell the staff at this hotel really care...not. Nice location, staff courteous. Stayed there for 5 days for a convention. Concession food was terrible. Hotel put a 300 dollar hold on my credit card-- that was excessive for incidentals. Room service terrible. We had no maid service for 5 days, trash cans overflowing and just a huge pile of dirty towels in the bathroom read more

The outside of this hotel is lovely. The common areas are typical but the guest rooms leave a bit to be desired. Decor is minimum. They definitely weren't as clean as I would have liked. I found cut toenails on the floor. I know -- it is gross but it was there and the primary reason for the two stars. The more that I looked, the more I felt that the room wasn't deeply cleaned. This hotel is noisy and full of activity. Kids were running in the halls and overall, it was just loud because of the dance competition activity. Restaurants are good. We had a good dinner and breakfast the following morning. Starbucks menu was limited but it was fine. read more

Hotel needs some help it is falling apart. Floor boards in our room were loose and bent at the edges which caused us to trip. They moved us to another room with floor boards that were loose as well in the shower; they moved everytime you walked in the bathroom. We told team members about it and nothing was done. You could literally pick up boards from the floor. The numbers in the hallways were missing. The M lounge was rarely open due to staffing issues; the pool was closed. I would think twice about booking here - as a titanium member I am annoyed I wasted my points in this substandard hotel. read more

I stay at this hotel for 5 nights every year. Recently they fully renovated the hotel and it's very obvious they went with the lowest bidder when it came to contractors. The stickers they call flooring are coming up, I'm able to grab one and pull it up. The beds are hard as a rock. The pillows are typical hotel pillows. For the bathroom doors they picked the worst type of door they possibly could have, sliding barn doors. The doors can't lock, there's no privacy, and you can hear EVERYTHING someone else is doing in there. The HVAC system is messed up. I told her there's a loud thunk that happened about every hour. She told me that every room next to that type of mechanism does that and they can't figure out why so guests just have to deal with random thunks. Worst of all my door was broken the entire weekend. The door wasn't in the frame properly so if you just let it swing closed it doesn't close, anyone can see this and just talk into your room. There's heavy scrape marks on the side of the door and the door frame so it's obvious it's been happening for a while. The hotel did get someone from maintenance to fix it but after a few hours it had fallen out of place again. They have to fix the entire frame of the door but aren't. After the renovations this place is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. read more
