I would rather bring a tent & sleep outside, we arrived & were given paperwork for an already occupied room. breakfast was horrible, she asked us for coffee, served 3 other tables, emptied the canister & forget. Nasty little breakfast, pancakes tasted like flour circles with molasses as syrup...horrible. Everything creaked!!! The bed..kept me awake all night! The floors. The stairs. Paper thin walls.

This is the living room of one of the suites.

My wife and I spent two days in the Lancaster, PA, area, which is right in the heart of Amish country. It's a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of life- to a part of the country where life is more simple. We like to stay in B&Bs whenever we can and this one did not disappoint. The suite rooms are very quaint and well appointed - two gas fireplaces, a double jacuzzi tub, a large screen TV and a very nice and comfortable King size bed. Space heaters were operating when we arrived but we turned them off, since the fireplaces warm the rooms. There is also a fully functioning HVAC system. The innkeeper, Marsha, was friendly and "efficient". For breakfast they have two dealings, one at 8:30 and one at 10:00am, where they have a chef come in to prepare the meals. They accommodated our special requests as well. Overall, I would say this B&B operates very professionally, but with less "personality" than some B&Bs. Some people actually prefer this type of B&B in that they don't get too personal. Maybe that's why they call it an "inn". We have very high standards when it comes to B&Bs and this place met our standards. The only reason I did not give this place 5-stars was because I felt that it was fully priced at $340/ night with taxes. I have been to other B&Bs that were comparable or better and at a lower price. I would definitely recommend this place, though, as I feel it is worth the price- I will probably try another place if I am in the area again just to see if I can find a better deal.

This was our first trip to Pennsylvania, and we could not have picked a better place to stay for two nights! The Inn was so charming, quiet, and relaxing - exactly what we needed. Even though the check-in was contactless due to COVID, the process was seamless. Everything we needed was included in the packet - from how to find the room to where to go for great food. We had vouchers ready to go for breakfast both mornings at the restaurant one block down. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on away from home, with the softest, triple-layered sheets ever. The water pressure was fantastic in the shower! I loved the landscaping and benches on the property; they made for good picture-taking opportunities. If you had a question about anything at all, Jennifer (the manager) was literally a phone call away! Honestly, I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this place! We could walk across the street to Kitchen Kettle Village and lots of other local shops, so the location was the best you could ask for! I will definitely stay at the Inn & Spa at Intercourse Village again.

Wonderful stay. Very thoughtful and kind staff. Suite was immaculate and large yet had a cozy feel. Great location in the middle of town. Responded immediately to any requests. Even catered to our dietary requests. Definitely going back. Left us bubbling cider and an anniversary card. Lovely place.

We came again in December, 2018. It's my favorite bed & breakfast and we look forward to going again, next year.

Kerig, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge all there. It's a simple set up. There is electricity (though two of the lights did not work when we were there so the kitchen was quite dim), a wall unit for AC and heat. No wifi. As the wall unit is in the living room/kitchen, the bedrooms can get stuffy. There are fans in the bedrooms but that's something to be mindful of. Anna brings breakfast between 8-8:30 in the mornings on all days except Sundays. Breakfast consists of yogurt parfait, homemade bread, and marmalade and butter. Anna did bring us some eggs (have to cook them yourself) and orange juice. We didn't have too much interaction apart from that with the family. Anna said they wake up at 5 AM to start farm chores (yikes!!). While we had an overall nice experience, we did spot some creepy crawlers around. Not mice or roaches or anything like that but there are plenty of cobwebs that could use a good dusting and small spiders so either be okay with that or don't look up at the ceiling or at corners. Just subtracting one star for that. Otherwise we had a good time here.
