We chose to stay here due to proximity to Sight and Sound since we were coming to see a performance. After the show was over, we went out to eat then made our way here. Parking is in the back. No one was in sight. We were confused for just a few moments - there's a telephone outside and it says to dial "3" for the innkeeper. I was just reaching out to do that when I noticed a manilla envelope that had our last name and first initials on it which gave instructions on which rooms we were assigned, contained the key cards, and a card with the choice of breakfast for the next morning which you fill out and leave in the dining room. There is great attention to detail at this inn and a great deal of amenities which is nice. The dining room, which is not locked, has a mini fridge stocked with water bottles and sodas. A sitting area near the front had a glass case of brownies. There's obviously an unspoken honor policy as well because there is an unlocked stand full of various souvenirs one can purchase such as candles in another sitting area as well. On the second floor, there's a coffee bar with a Keurig and K cups, a small sitting area, another mini fridge with bottled water and sodas and a jar of pretzels and another with cookies. The bathroom is also stocked with two additional bottles of water not to mention a nice assortment of toiletries, and even cotton balls and cue tips. There is even a piece of chocolate on each side of the bed. I found these little touches wonderful for enhancing our experience. I was afraid we'd have to look, like, behind the bed to find an outlet but they provided some accessible outlets and USB charging strips on the nightstand. Another bonus. Breakfast which is from 8-10 AM, is quite delicious. They ran out of orange juice though and didn't refill this so I didn't know if that was due to oversight or to save money but apart from that, I was satisfied with their selection. One drawback which others also mentioned is that the shower quite slippery so I think a non slip mat would go a long way. It also took a while for the hot water in the shower to get warm but it did eventually and the water pressure was very good. I also appreciated that the bathroom had a fan/vent since not all old fashioned inns do. The inn is an easy walking distance from the Kitchen Kettle Village. Unfortunately there's not an easy way to cross the street due to lack of a crosswalk so that was a bit of a snag. We ended up walking further down the street to a traffic light where there was a crosswalk. Overall, our stay here was wonderful and I appreciated the attention to details which greatly enhanced our experience. I would love to come back again. read more

We loved the Inn and Spa at Intercourse! It is by far the best B&B we have stayed at. The staff was wonderful, always making sure we had everything we needed. The delicious breakfast was prepared by a gourmet chef and served in a lovely setting. They even had a goodie bag prepared for us when we left at 6:30 this morning since we were going to miss breakfast. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed one night in the Harness Shed suite on a Thursday night. The self check in and check out was efficient, although human interaction would be preferred. ( Staff was available in the main house while ) The room was appointed nicely and most of all, it was clean. The sitting area and bed were comfortable. As we were there for my wife's b-day, they left a b-day card, some Hershey Kisses and a bottle of chilled non alcoholic bubbly which was a nice touch. The room was quiet and the HVAC worked great. We chose to have breakfast delivered through room service. It was okay. The choices were pancakes with or without blueberries and Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. We chose the pancakes which came with pure maple syrup, fresh fruit, breakfast breads and orange juice. The breakfast breads were unfortunately dry. The pancakes were good. The young woman, Abby helping me to check in, Jennifer, answering my questions through the phone and in person, and Carl's amazing breakfast meals. What a wonderful stay we had. We went to see a show at sight and sound theater and followed it up with a lovely stay at this inn. The rooms were so comfortable and well furnished. The daily breakfast was served on fine China. You get to choose what you want for breakfast from the chef's wonderful menu. The amenities are welcoming. Check in and check out were a breeze. The staff was extremely helpful.. If you've never been to intercourse, this is the place to stay. You can walk the historic town and spend a quiet day at shops. My second stay at the Inn and enjoyed the ladies, Kim and Jennifer who are so nice and know the area for places and things to do. I loved the Roots Farmers Market that was suggested! My wife and I spent two days in the Lancaster, PA, area, which is right in the heart of Amish country. It's a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of life- to a part of the country where life is more simple. We like to stay in B&Bs whenever we can and this one did not disappoint. The suite rooms are very quaint and well appointed - two gas fireplaces, a double jacuzzi tub, a large screen TV and a very nice and comfortable King size bed. Space heaters were operating when we arrived but we turned them off, since the fireplaces warm the rooms. There is also a fully functioning HVAC system. The innkeeper, Marsha, was friendly and "efficient". For breakfast they have two dealings, one at 8:30 and one at 10:00am, where they have a chef come in to prepare the meals. They accommodated our special requests as well. Overall, I would say this B&B operates very professionally, but with less "personality" than some B&Bs. Some people actually prefer this type of B&B in that they don't get too personal. Maybe that's why they call it an "inn". We have very high standards when it comes to B&Bs and this place met our standards. The only reason I did not give this place 5-stars was because I felt that it was fully priced at $340/ night with taxes. I have been to other B&Bs that were comparable or better and at a lower price. I would definitely recommend this place, though, as I feel it is worth the price- I will probably try another place if I am in the area again just to see if I can find a better deal. read more

This was our first trip to Pennsylvania, and we could not have picked a better place to stay for two nights! The Inn was so charming, quiet, and relaxing - exactly what we needed. Even though the check-in was contactless due to COVID, the process was seamless. Everything we needed was included in the packet - from how to find the room to where to go for great food. We had vouchers ready to go for breakfast both mornings at the restaurant one block down. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on away from home, with the softest, triple-layered sheets ever. The water pressure was fantastic in the shower! I loved the landscaping and benches on the property; they made for good picture-taking opportunities. If you had a question about anything at all, Jennifer (the manager) was literally a phone call away! Honestly, I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this place! We could walk across the street to Kitchen Kettle Village and lots of other local shops, so the location was the best you could ask for! I will definitely stay at the Inn & Spa at Intercourse Village again. read more

The Inn and Spa at Intercourse is wonderful. The buildings and grounds are beautiful and well kept. The suites are clean and have lots of good amenities. It's quiet at night and you can sleep well. Chef Carl, the Innkeeper, cooks the most amazing breakfasts and bakes delicious things to go with them. The Inn is so conveniently located right on the main street in Intercourse, and you can walk to so many nice little stores of all different kinds, and good restaurants. My wife and I visit Lancaster many times each year. If like us you've stayed at the Inn in the past, you will be disappointed staying there now. The rooms, furnishings and bedding are showing their age. The breakfast, which was once an event, is now average at best. Carl, the new owner, is "Inn over his head" as there is too much that needs to improve and further investment is surely needed. The only remnant of better days is the wonderful care given by Jennifer and Kimberly. The final straw of our stay was the tailgating right outside our window. At first I thought they must be squatters, but it turns out they were guests at the Inn! I asked Carl to address it, but it appears that his need for rental income is greater than his distain for public alcohol consumption and pot smoking. If that's your thing, it's cheaper to stay at a motel or trailer park. The bottom line is there are too many better (and less expensive) places to stay in the Intercourse area. We went for a couples massage. Good massage, but I wouldn't call it a spa experience. We were taken upstairs to the room and told to get undressed and on the tables. There was no separate room to get ready. When it was finished, we were told to get dressed and come downstairs. I stopped in the bathroom and there were robes and a shower, which they never mentioned. The sign says to let the therapist know if you want to use it, but at that point we were dressed and they were downstairs. We went down and were given the usual water and light snack, but it was in the reception area, which is small and busy and was full of people waiting for services, so it was very awkward. Might be good if you are staying there and do the in room or just want a quick massage, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing spa experience. I've been here twice now, and I'm thinking about going back a third time. It's defiantly my go to location for a quick get away with my husband. Each time we went, it was in December (both our birthday month) the first visit was the beginning of the month, so it was romantic, snowy, we stayed in the main house, which was pleasant. The second time was Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after. Now, for a 2 night, 3 day stay at a B&B OVER a major holiday, and we got a suite, you would think it would cost a fortune. Nope. It was 365.00. It was fabulous. The food is always great, I love the China and just the overall service, even though it was too classy for my husband. we didn't get a chance to do too much in town because of the holiday, but we took the time to enjoy the quiet, being together and driving around. That's why I wanna go back within the next few weeks to enjoy the town again, where it had window shopping, ice cream, I love the clip clopping of the horses, it's very romantic and my husband loved it, mostly for the price, and the very very comfortable accommodations. In all honesty, the pictures don't give the beauty of the place justice, it's nicer in person. We had a kitchenette, microwave, little sink, enough dishes for 2 people, a coffee maker with a large variety of coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Within the fridge were snacks, water, juice and we had a small assortment of cookies. The main house has the same items, all fresh baked or locally purchased. Pick a beautiful weekend, take your husband or wife, and ENJOY yourselves!!! It's WORTH IT. It's definitely a park and drive kind of stay, they even provide a packet when you arrive of local events, outings, shops and prices for the spa, which was HIGHLY reasonable. read more

Checked in for 1 night in the Lapp suite. These rooms have alot of options to choose from like flowers, rose petals on the bed and a cracker and cheese tray which is all nicely put together. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The suite was VERY clean. I dont think I saw a spec of dust even in the most remote corners. There is a Kuerig machine for coffee which sets off a nice modern tone. The only downside to the room was the size of the TV in the bedroom. It was only about 13in TV. They could accommodate at least a 32in. I dont say that to be negative because the rest of the room was beautiful. We didnt have the breakfast yet but so far so good. My wife has an appointment at the spa at 9:30am. Good start to July 4th. read more

DONT BE FOOLED--- THIS IS NOT A SPA!!!! Its a very nice B&B for a get away into amish country but it should not include spa in its name. It is a B&B that has spa amenities but in no way is a spa. I came to this place to have a relaxing spa weekend and was very very disappointed. To start, there is no changing rooms, no waiting room, no fuzzy robes for you to relax in. You sit on a bench 5 feet away from the secretary and the laundry room...it's noisy and not relaxing. The actual massage was nice but there was no time or space to relax prior or after the treatment. You are asked to put your clothes back on after the massage and have the option of sitting again 5 feet from the receptionist/laundry OR 5 feet from the pedicure seats that are next to the manicure tables and I would imagine would be very loud. They give you 5 grapes, a sheet of pound cake the size of your finger and 3 cubes of cheese while you sit next to other loud people and then ask you to pay as much as a real spa would. They are working with too little space or trying to do too much with that space. It was not relaxing and I had no time to unwind even just in a quite room, forget that most other places have some form of steam room/jet pool/showers/locker rooms/something!!! I was looking forward to a Spa, this was not a spa!!! Do not be fooled like my mom and I were and waste a weekend stuck in the middle of nowhere that is closed on Sundays with nothing to do. If you like B&Bs and shops that are full of items made from China, then this place is for you but if you are looking for a nice spa getaway or even just a spa day, DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I Love this place! I wish I could live here. I've been to Lancaster at least 20 times and just started staying at this Inn. The suites are nice and cozy you tend not to want to leave the room for breakfast. Which is nice that they bring breakfast to some of the rooms. I've always looked forward to there fresh homemade breakfast and what's nice is they can alter it if you have any allergies. The last time I stayed at the Inn was for just a short stay my Birthday and they left me some amazing homemade cookies. I can't wait to come back again for another stay. read more

My husband and I stayed here in one of the suites. We had a great impression at first. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room. The suite was very spacious, there was a fireplace, and a jacuzzi. But after spending the night in this suite, we can honestly say we will never stay there again. There was some sort of mold or mildew throughout the suite. We both developed respiratory issues over night. I began coughing and developed mucus in my throat. My husband had a terrible headache all night and neither of us slept well. In addition, the bath towels smelled mildewey and the bathroom had a perpetually foul odor. In addition to this, the fireplace was a bit complicated to manage, the bed and linens weren't very comfortable, and the jacuzzi jets were so powerful that when we moved away from them they shot straight out of the tub, creating a mess everywhere. Finally, we felt that the breakfast was a bit too formal and redundant. The 5 course breakfast sounded like a great idea, but it was a bit odd in that it started with a muffin and ended with cold cereal. Plus, it was awkward sharing such a formal breakfast with strangers. I think more casual food with less formality would have been much more enjoyable. In summary, I don't think this place was worth the price. I've stayed in far nicer places at much more reasonable prices. Pros: Great central location, staff was courteous, large spacious room, existence of fireplace and hot tub Cons: lacks value for the price, foul odor and possible mold/mildew, fireplace outdated, hot tub jets too strong, bed not very comfortable, breakfast was meh. read more
