We chose to stay here due to proximity to Sight and Sound since we were coming to see a…read moreperformance. After the show was over, we went out to eat then made our way here. Parking is in the back. No one was in sight. We were confused for just a few moments - there's a telephone outside and it says to dial "3" for the innkeeper. I was just reaching out to do that when I noticed a manilla envelope that had our last name and first initials on it which gave instructions on which rooms we were assigned, contained the key cards, and a card with the choice of breakfast for the next morning which you fill out and leave in the dining room. There is great attention to detail at this inn and a great deal of amenities which is nice. The dining room, which is not locked, has a mini fridge stocked with water bottles and sodas. A sitting area near the front had a glass case of brownies. There's obviously an unspoken honor policy as well because there is an unlocked stand full of various souvenirs one can purchase such as candles in another sitting area as well. On the second floor, there's a coffee bar with a Keurig and K cups, a small sitting area, another mini fridge with bottled water and sodas and a jar of pretzels and another with cookies. The bathroom is also stocked with two additional bottles of water not to mention a nice assortment of toiletries, and even cotton balls and cue tips. There is even a piece of chocolate on each side of the bed. I found these little touches wonderful for enhancing our experience. I was afraid we'd have to look, like, behind the bed to find an outlet but they provided some accessible outlets and USB charging strips on the nightstand. Another bonus. Breakfast which is from 8-10 AM, is quite delicious. They ran out of orange juice though and didn't refill this so I didn't know if that was due to oversight or to save money but apart from that, I was satisfied with their selection. One drawback which others also mentioned is that the shower quite slippery so I think a non slip mat would go a long way. It also took a while for the hot water in the shower to get warm but it did eventually and the water pressure was very good. I also appreciated that the bathroom had a fan/vent since not all old fashioned inns do. The inn is an easy walking distance from the Kitchen Kettle Village. Unfortunately there's not an easy way to cross the street due to lack of a crosswalk so that was a bit of a snag. We ended up walking further down the street to a traffic light where there was a crosswalk. Overall, our stay here was wonderful and I appreciated the attention to details which greatly enhanced our experience. I would love to come back again.

This house was supper clean and neat. The entire house is upgrade. The decor bright yet warn country home. Internet system is solid and fast. All smart flat TV interconnected with five zone stereo systems throughout the house. We were impressed with how clean everything was, the diligence, and attention to detail of workmanship. The house has been totally upgraded with quality products and quality work, ceiling to floors. Lighting in this house state of the art both inside and outside. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances. It had everything we could think of including two refrigerators, gas top cooking and every item a top chef could thing of needing. Windows that looked directly out on to the Susquehanna River House with its private dock. Two of the four bedrooms has their own ensuites. The Master Bedroom on the main floor really big with a river view which is magnificent, plus a large three head shower big for two people at a time. All linens towels etc are highest quality plush and provided. a view of the water which was magnificent. The air-conditioning is zones in the different rooms give the ability for all the have comfort to their choosing. Absolutely no negatives in this house. I did not expect the internet to be good in such a remote area; but, to my surprise it worked fine throughout the whole property. Lighting in this house is beyond expectation. You have to see it. The porch on the house is outstanding with tables chairs, rockers, a complete wet bar and the perfect view of the river The attention to detain in this house say Quality Quality, and Quality! Jen planned a nice blend of scheduled activities and time to explore on our own. She booked us for a few nights in Borgarnes at the beginning of our trip at a lovely hotel, Hótel Varmaland. The fact that this camp was Christian was an extreme plus and was well enacted throughout the camp. The rain didn't stop the camp from going. Expect your kids to come home dirty, tired, and happy. Creek swimming was their favorite activity.
