I spent this past weekend staying in Room 704 at The Inn at Kitchen Kettle village. This room is an accessible room even though it's on the second floor. There is an elevator to get upstairs. The bathroom worked fine for me. I have mobility issues and walk with a cane. There are bars in the bathtub, but none around the toilet. There is a bath seat. The shower is amazing actually and the hot water plentiful. One thing to be aware of is that the elevator is small and a bit old. It has gates and all. It only holds two people, so a large wheelchair or heavy mobility scooter might not fit. The room itself is really comfortable and I was happy that the beds are not super high. Breakfast is provided in the Harvest Cafe. There are 4 or 5 choices. If you stay over on a Saturday night you get a shopping coupon to use in the Village since for Sunday since the Village is closed on Sunday. The customer service at The Inn (and the Village too) is amazing. Everyone we met went above and beyond to be helpful. Since the Village is closed in the evening and on Sunday, you can be sure that it will be quiet. I'll be back there for sure! read more

Our group of 4 rented a 2 bedroom bungalow for a girls weekend. It was a perfect fit for our group. We loved how cozy it was and being so close to all of the shops in the village was so nice. We were able to explore the village and take a horse & buggy ride all within walking distance. The village closes at 5pm and is closed on Sunday, but there are lots of things to do within a short drive. Note: fireplace is not a working fireplace. I didn't mind but some of the ladies in our group were bummed. read more

My wife and I wanted to get away for a quiet weekend and we've been wanting to visit the Kitchen Kettle Village so what better way than to stay on the actual property. We stayed in a 2 story room with really nice architecture and had an awesome view of the village. The staff was really friendly, the room was clean, and you could really feel the hospitality of the PA Amish country. For an additional charge you can get a sampler of food items from each of the major stores found within Kitchen Kettle Village. After the village closes you are free to walk the village in privacy which is nice once the crowds leave. The only weird part is that since they are closed Sunday, you are alone on the grounds from Saturday night into the morning. Feela weird being the only people on the property but you really get your privacy. I would definately come back the next time we stay in Lancaster. read more

I love the Inn at Kitchen Kettle! Victoria is very welcoming and helpful at check in. My mother and I stay here yearly in one of the cottage rooms, but this year my grandmother chose to join us so we upgraded to the Hershey Suite. It was perfect for our needs - spacious, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Felt like our own apartment! It is very conveniently located to the village, just steps away from an entrance by the cafe and very close to the Kling House restaurant which is unfortunately closed at the moment but hopefully opening soon. Due to the pandemic, there was (understandably) no housekeeping but they were happy to drop off additional towels, toilet paper, etc if we requested. Although advertised as a "first floor" suite there were two steps to get into the front door. For most this wouldn't be an issue, but it was a little challenging for my grandmother who uses a walker, but we managed. We look forward to returning again soon! read more

During COVID, we unfortunately did not get to eat breakfast at their restaurant, but they gave us vouchers that could be used throughout the village! -$20 worth in food shops, $5 worth in specialty shops. The village has a lot of really nice stores! (Jam/relish store, oil/vinegar store, candy store, etc) our room was really nice and affordable! The soaking tub was amazing, and the even left us a few little jars of delicious homemade jam! We stayed in room 901. read more

This is one of the nicest Inns here. We stay here every year and come with another couple and we each have our own bed rooms and baths. It's always clean and neat and we can get to the village shopping by walking right outside our front door. You'll really love hearing the clip clip of the Amish buggies going by all day. It's beautiful here and a great place for a country week end get away. The Inn dies not serve breakfast but they give you a voucher to eat breakfast at a near by quaint little eatery. Also not much is open on Sundays so y'all also get a coupon fir 6 Amish cookies from the bakery in the village to enjoy and who would want a yummy cookie for breakfast rather than an egg breakfast? read more

I want to thank you and all of the staff there for making our stay so nice. They were so nice to us and made our stay so pleasant. Shout out to our waitresses they were really sweet and such fun to talk to. My mom really enjoyed her 80th Birthday trip. Her favorite part of the trip was staying in Intercourse at the Kitchen Kettle Village; she tells all her friends what a wonderful place it is. My sister fell in love with the Pickled Beets and ordered a case. You just never get tired of them. We will be ordering more I'm sure. As for my younger sister the one that lost the key said she is so sorry for the inconvenience. She found the key on our last day of vacation when we repacked everything. It must have fallen into her carry on case and she didn't really check that bag very well until the last day. I hope to come back and stay some day and really check out the area. We stayed in cottage # 601 what a cozy place. Beds were so comfortable quilts on bed were outstanding. We were greeted with gifts in the room like chocolate and jam and crackers and travel mugs. The cottage was immaculate. Had a small lichen area. Spacious room with flat screen TV plenty of dresser draws. Bathroom with tub and large vanity area seperate from the bathroom. It was more than I expected. I loved it so much I tried to stay another night but the inn was a full capacity. We will be back! It was such a relaxing get away. Since my review, we found out that a technical issue prevented me from receiving the email that the staff sent to me regarding the issues I mentioned. They apologized and made sure I receive their response. The response mentioned each of the my concerns. There's nothing you won't like about the Inn. Rooms are large, clean and filled with amenities. Beds are comfortable and the decor is lovely. I especially like the water bottles and the coffee mugs. The included breakfast has a nice variety and I like that I can still order off the menu for a small discount if I want to try something different. The staff is also top notch and we've never had a negative encounter; they really do go the distance to give their guests a great experience. If there was one negative and one thing I would tell the owners to improve it would be the parking - guests have reserved spots near their rooms but the village is so very, very busy on Friday, Saturday and holidays like Memorial Day that we often returned to find our spot gone. The one thing staff won't do is try to find the owners or help with parking - if you're disabled or have heavy packages it can be a great inconvenience (to be fair the staff would probably help carry the packages we just didn't ask). I understand they probably don't want to upset their day shoppers by paging them or asking them to move but it's a bad experience for the paying overnight guest. Maybe in the future the village would consider a compromise such as a movable sign the guests could put in the FRONT of the parking space to block it slightly and give others a heads up that the spot isn't available; especially since the "reserved" sign is at the head of the space so others don't see it until they're already parked which I think is one of the reasons they ignore it.. read more

We have been to Kitchen Kettle Village shops several times, but did not know about The Inn. After looking up the reviews, pics, etc, we decided to try it out. We were all absolutely happy with everything. We booked two rooms. Both rooms were extremely large and immaculately clean. The decor was quaint and cheery. They included bottled water, little jars of jam and crackers and coffee (Keurig cups and cold half and half). It's an easy ride to Hershey and right in the center of Lancaster activities. Everything is closed on Sunday but it's a 10 min drive to the outlets, restaurants, etc. Breakfast is included at their restaurant (on premises). It's a smaller breakfast than their usual, but nevertheless, quite good. The shops do close about 6:00 pm I believe, but right across the street is Rita's Italian ice and a coffee place that closed at 9:00 pm on Saturday night, plus they had live music. Staying at The Inn made it a much more enjoyable getaway and was a pleasant change from the same old hotel stays. Bottom line is that this place is an absolute winner and we will undoubtedly stay here again! read more

We enjoyed our stay at The Inn at Kitchen Kettle Village. We showed up on short notice and resided at the Kurtz House above the Kitchen Kettle Village Store because it had an elevator for my elderly parents. The Inn Keepers, all lovely and accommodating, told us the building was once a furniture making shop and the elevator is from that era. The rooms were comfortably spacious and very clean. We had room 701, which made me nervous about noise as it was facing the Olde Philadelphia Pike, but the only noise I heard in the morning was the clip clop of the horses going by. My parents had room 702 and were very pleased with the King sized bed and quilt work decor. They mentioned to the staff that they had become fond of a cow themed alarm clock that was also in the room. On our departure it was given to them as gift to take home. read more

We had a fantastic stay in room 601. It was very clean and spacious. The staff was so kind, and even surprised me with a small birthday gift in the room, since they knew I was celebrating my birthday. We also ordered a special cake to be in the room, and the cake was fantastic. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching all the horse and buggy's go by. Since we were staying over on a Saturday night, breakfast was not available, since kitchen kettle is closed. However we were given a coupon for a free dozen cookies, and they were fantastic. Pleasantly surprised at the accommodations and attentiveness of the staff. We stayed in a loft near the Kling House Restaurant. It was very clean and quiet with a comfortable K bed, sofa, and plenty of room. The heat/AC worked well. Excellent lighting, esp for shaving and putting on makeup. The staff does their best to make you comfortable. They even leave a welcome card signed by all of the staff, some jam and crackers, candy sample, and water in the fridge. They give you insulated travel mugs to use for free [very good tasting] coffee at the restaurant. During our stay we found that the parking space dedicated to our unit was taken by someone else not staying at the Inn. I called the office and was told usually this is not a problem. It seems like it would be during the peak seasons, but she offered to make an announcement to have the person move his car. That evening when we returned to our room we found a $5 gift certificate for the Kitchen Kettle for our inconvenience. Nice touch. We liked being close to shopping, literally right outside our door. Only criticisms are the lack of a view from the windows (no balcony) and the limited options for breakfast. I know other rooms have balconies and give better views. Room charge included a breakfast at the Kling House Restaurant. That included three choices or only $3 off other things on their menu. For a B&B we expected more breakfast options, but that wasn't a deal breaker. Overall great experience. We visit the Amish country often and will look to stay at this Inn again in the future. read more

NOT FOR KIDS !!! We stayed here with my kids for 5 nights. We did our best to keep the room as clean as possible, I even asked for a broom to sweep up after we at as there was a kitchen table in the room but was told I could have one as it was locked up in a closet in the room. I was called by a very rude woman the day after my stay and scolded because my kids stained a towel and the floor was messy( NO BROOM). I was yelled at about a broken light bulb which I had brought to their attention as we tipped a lamp with a suitcase packing up. Woman humiliated me and scolded me as if I was a child!! Such a horrible stay!! Definitely not family friendly!! read more

This place is amazing. The main store in the shopping center has all sorts of canned pickles and vegetables and salsas and sauces. A large variety of baked goods done in traditional honest Amish fashion. Samples of everything! You can cruise the whole store and sample yourself away they don't stop you.
