Huge salad bar, bread bar, soups, steamed shrimp. Tons of main entrees, veggies, pastas, and a 4 sided array of desserts. The black raspberry soft serve was amazing. They also have a grill that has burgers, tacos, and other restaurant like foods. The price is very reasonable. Perfect for eating one big meal in the middle of the afternoon. Our server Nicky was so helpful! We had a big family get together, so there was three tables of jovial bliss. Such a variety of food! So many kinds of soups! I enjoyed the mushroom soup. I took just a spoonful of it because I didn't wanna try different things. They have a crème brûlée French toast that a lot of people rave about and I will say... Without a doubt, it was magnificent and delicious and so fresh! I did have a salad and it was very colorful and my whole family really enjoyed their meal here. The free huge breakfast buffet, animal barn, beautiful lake, plentiful parking, clean rooms, friendly staff, nice stores, and fresh baked goods are all amazing. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there is no elevator to get bags to the 2nd floor. I had to carry my family's 7 bags up a flight of stairs. The seating is large family style tables because they generally appeal to large groups. Everything was elegant. Floor to ceiling windows, wood accents everywhere to bring the modern farm feel, but everything extremely contemporary and clean. The buffet has EVERYTHING! With four hot food lines, a salad island, a dessert island, a made-to-order grill, you can literally get food that appeals to everyone. Again being in Lancaster, I had to focus on some Amish classics. Shoo Fly Pie was phenomenal and definitely goes well with a dollop of Vanilla Ice Cream. Ham Balls were reminiscent of my grandmother's ham loaf, except these came with a delicious honey sauce. Amish Fillings is a fresher, fuller version of you standard stuffing. Large pieces of soft bread - I'd consider a perfect adaptation of stuffing and bread pudding together. The staff was extremely attentive. Filling drinks and clearing plates with precision. Oh, I forgot to mention that everything is AYCE. We just had a fantastic group dinner here, and as I watched my tablemates go up for plate after plate after plate, it became apparent that we were having a sensational experience. I started off with a cup of their chili as my base, added in spoonfuls of cheese and mushrooms from their salad bar, and garnished the whole thing with a few tortilla chips. Yes, it was great. Next, I went to their made-to-order counter (The Grille) and ordered a crab cake. It was delicious, stacked with crabmeat with a crunchy breadcrumb filling. Round #1 for me was greens from the salad bar, seven shell-on shrimp, and a piece of fried chicken. The fried chicken was the clear winner of this round- it was juicy, crunchy, tender, and pretty much 100% magnificent. Round #2 for me was a hunk of meatloaf, some rice, and a scoop of Orange Chicken. No clear winner here -both were very good. I finished off my night of gluttony with a slice of sugar free cherry pie that sure tasted like the real deal. Our dinner included pitchers of water, lemonade, and iced tea on our table. AYCD soft drinks will add $4.99 to your bill. The dining room is very spacious and gorgeous, the buffet tables are spacious and not crowded, and the service was amazing as plates were cleared at the speed of light. The restaurant and shops appear near and fresh, very modern. We went for the buffet. It was a slower weekend day, the dishes on the buffet were shallow which I felt it would help the food hold the temperature more but almost everything I consumed was lukewarm at best. Food seemed to be lacking seasoning and flavor. The buffet was clean, some more favorite items emptied quicker due to the shallow containers. Service was great. The stores are not terribly overpriced and have items for all. Due to the cost I probably wouldn't go out of our way to return, it just seemed overpriced for what you get. read more

This place was pretty great. There was decent food with a clean and friendly atmosphere. Only downside was our waiter. I understand it's a buffet but he wasn't too attentive. It was also a full house, but even when nearby he didn't even glance our way. He did ask if we'd like refills, but I just feel he was never really near. Might have just been a stressful night. All of the staff were very friendly. Especially the gentleman on Grill. Overall, probably will come back when I have more of an appetite. Very nice place. Came twice, in my opinion it works ONLY if you come for lunch Monday-Friday and you are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The reason is that kids eat free with paying adults. If I would have to pay for the kids then I wouldn't have come. If it was just me and my wife then I would also go someplace else. Food is just ok, lots of options but not really great options. It was our annual tradition for Easter weekend to have dinner here when in the area. We haven't been back since the fire and came back today. While it looks beautiful and new, we really miss the country vibe of Hershey Restaurant before the fire. This place reminded me of IKEA dining room. The food was still delicious and the service as impeccable as always. The prime rib was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed muscles and shrimp. Our large group was automatically charged an 18% gratuity, which is understandable, but the receipt still had an additional blank tip line, and the staff even asked us to fill it out! Wow! The view here and the new dining room are amazing. It is just beautiful. Hershey Farm offers a large buffet with plenty of choices, there is a slight room for improvement on some of the entrees. But the grill is the best! Offering custom and fresh made cheesesteaks, pasta, French toast, pancakes and who knows what else this is just a wonderful option. The new bldg is so open & feels so welcoming, loved the atmosphere! We walked in & were greeted by 3 young gentleman. All three welcomed us warmly, we were quickly shown to a table. Our server, Lisa was just as friendly and gave us the low down while getting our drink orders. I really enjoyed the omelet station with the choice of 7 different cheeses to add to my omelet. The food was all very good and they had a bunch of items to choose from for the Sunday brunch buffet. Lisa made sure our drinks never ran out. I loved the gift shop & bakery shop as well. I have stayed as a guest at their hotel and hotel guest receive free breakfast from 9am - 2pm, which is pretty awesome for what the restaurant offers, it's not a basic continental breakfast. Then it burned down and has been replaced by this beautiful Hershey Farm Resort/ Restaurant but as beautiful it is the food is just ok. The service was excellent! This is really hard for me to write, but I must be honest. I have loved Hershey Farm Resort for many years. It is my favorite place to stay when I visit the area. Their buffet was always my absolute favorite in the area before the remodel. I think the new building is beautiful. The layout is a bit harder for me now because I have mobility issues. My issue is the food. I think the food was much better before re-opening. Something feels off. Maybe it's the types of food offered. I think the former dining experience had more home style foods. Lately, it feels more generic and not in keeping with the traditional area cooking. The grill area is great but I really miss the quality of the food that they used to present. I feel so sad giving this review for a place I really loved. read more

The ambiance was so fresh and a great farmhouse feel. Lots of room for large groups. The staff was so sweet and friendly. The food was amazing! I have been to Hershey farm resort prior to the fire. This was my first trip back. I went for breakfast as it was convenient to the site and sound theater. I was disappointed that ALL the plates were dirty, the food was cold and very greasy and besides our waitress, management and the station help needs to be reviewed as they could not help me with my concerns. I would've rated higher. But unfortunately they are not pet friendly. My dog is serviced for my mothers disability and when he's not in service to her and we play with him he sometimes barks when having fun. And supposedly there were complaints about his barking. And they threatened to kick us out if he kept being disruptive when my baby had been an Angel all throughout. Felt a bit discriminatory honestly. Pools temperature is not regulated it's freezing actually. So I didn't stay at there pool all that long. Pros, breakfast and the crew working it is awesome and the food was amazing. Not your average hotel breakfast. They make for you omelettes with endless toppings, delicious crème brûlée toast, and Belgian waffles in there kitchen and serve it to you. The Brand new building is a sight to be seen just on its own! Beautiful building and grounds! Front of house greeters were quick to get us seated and settled! The new dining hall is breathtaking so much to look at as you walk in!! Our server Jake was warm and friendly offered us drinks right away and gave us a detailed explanation of where and how to find every food item we could want! Food was all hot and fresh!! We tried a lot of everything all wonderful!!! Desert table was so much fun with the chocolate fountain and self serve ice cream bar!! We sat at a table of two but we did observe big round tables! Wow what a beautiful place compared to the old place. That was the one star, this place was a glorified Golden Corral. The food was bland and horrible unless you got the salad. Cole slaw very little taste same with the dry fried chicken and everything else I tried. I tried the chips and salsa and I can't even fathom what salsa was purchased. The stewed tomatoes tasted like tomatoes thrown in watered down pasta sauce. Was looking forward to this, however I will not be back that is for sure. So sad for such a beautiful place. while on a bus tour for Sight and Sound show this was the place for lunch. Because there was 2 bus loads they set us up for family style dining away from the smorgasbord. If the food served on the smorgasbord is anything like what we got I would save my money and go elsewhere. The mashed potatoes were instant and quite thin. Nothing had any seasoning and is very unforgettable. what they served as stuffing was simple bread that was moistened and warmed up. My server was incredible!! She was very courteous and attentive. I walk using a cane and she helped me in getting my food. My wife had hurt her leg and wasn't able to come to the restaurant. Amanda helped me to get a meal to take to the room. She made sure that I had everything that my wife would need. Utensils, dinner and desert. Then packed it all in a bag so I could carry it.
