I've stayed at this hotel numerous times since its opening and I'll never stay here again. The bed was old, hard and lumpy. The TV was busted and hanging by a screw, very safe. The ceilings hd water damage and the start of mold, both in the room and the lobby. There's a feral cat home in the back of the hotel, nearest the parking lot, so the whole lot smells like ammonia and cat urine. The hotel is understaffed and it shows. The continental breakfast is a joke and the front desk staff showed me how to turn the juice dispenser on and off so that I could get water and said "Sorry to put yo to work." For $267 a night, I don't want to work or breathe in mold and I'd like to watch TV, and I'd like to be able to connect to WiFi. read more

Would not stay again. Was not told in advance that the property was undergoing renovation of new carpet. No signage at front desk upon check in. We were placed on the 3rd floor. Elevator was not operating. Multiple issues with room (anchor protruding through wall in sitting area at head level of the couch, vinyl peeling off headboard in bedroom, rust in bottom of tub, vent in bathroom fifthly). Largest complaint was being woke up at 8:30am on Sunday morning to contractors moving furniture, banging tools and loud music. Noise was so loud it shook the walls. Was told by one of the housekeeping crew that we should have never been placed on the 3rd floor that is was under renovation. Renovating is understandable but hotel should have never placed paying guests on the same floor, let alone in a room right next to ones that are being renovated. Upon checkout, early by the way, other guests must have experienced the same dissatisfaction because the staff placed a sign at the front desk regarding renovations. We stayed here a few years ago and it was okay then. This time (July 2025) we were so disappointed. For about $180 a night they gave us a room with a broken bathroom sink. I mean the knob on the sink would not go down to drain the water. So, the sink was unusable. We asked for a different room after discovering that. The breakfast food was not good. They were out of coffee! The eggs were watery and cold. We ate there the first morning then ate at a coffee shop called Coffee and Company the next few mornings. Hopefully this location will improve in the near future because it's in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. read more

I enjoyed my stay at this La Quinta hotel in Lancaster, PA. Staff were accommodating and friendly. They gave great recommendations for things to do and food. I enjoyed the size of the rooms and the amenities. There's a pool and free breakfast. Place is clean and organized. I like that they give lots of soaps and conditioners. I felt safe and comfortable in the hotel. It was a nice stay! Be ready to have your vehicle information for parking. All was easy which made for a good time at La Quinta. read more

I have stayed here a few times. last time was about one year ago. Just came back from a 2 night stay with 2 rooms. it was disappointing. There is a fair amount of room refurbishment going on which is a bit noisy . Had some problems starting with the hotel not including tax in the price quote when making reservations directly with them. Pool was not operable as I believe the heater was broken. Water pressure was bad in our room and after reporting this to the manager nothing was done. Also the treadmill in the gym was not working with no sign saying so. The difference in a mediocre and excellent hotel are found in the details. Current management is not focussing on the details. This hotel is on the brink of a downward slide and must get a new manager to put it back on track.At the current level of service it is no longer an excellent value. read more

THEY DON'T RENT TO LOCALS! I reserved a room for my son in law because we had family from York, PA and the surrounding area coming into town. The night before check-in I received a confirmation by email and text stating the room was confirmed. They also requested that I send in photo ID and had me submit if I needed an earlier check-in (extra charge). On the day of check-in about 1 1/2 hours before check-in, I received a call stating that they have cancelled my reservation and that I have to ask for my money back from the third party site I reserved the room from because....wait for it...THEY DON'T RENT TO LOCALS. So FYI...if you're a local, your money is not as good here versus if you're a non- local. But reading some of the comments on how dirty the place was, I'm happy I didn't waste my local money here. If you're going to charge me 278.00 a night make sure you up your game with the quality and care of your room and property. You charge me more, I'm going to expect more. Let's begin - checked into the room - the toilet seat was broken - let's just say you couldn't relax. We reported it on the day we checked in, we checked out 3 days later and we still have a broken toilet seat. The staff were nice, but passive. Shower curtain had yellowing happening on the bottom - time to get a new one or bleach it. I've attached some pics - please spend some time fixing and maintaining the room (208). Rug was coming up at the seams, wall near tub & shower was peeling, needs a shower curtain, please fix the toilet seat. And you need new lamp shades - the ones you have are stained and dented. The head board was worn (see pics) For $278 I expect $278 quality. Oh yeah the walls are really thin. And you could hear your neighbors conversation if you stand in the bathroom. Was there this past weekend. The rooms are very good. The area was very good as well. There was a group of basketball kids' with parents, rude and obnoxous, waiting to get pancakes and they were messing around no regard that people were wainting. The parents were nowhere to be seen, except a big heavy guy chatting away with another parent that could have cared less about what he was talking about. The breakfast! horrible. No waffle maker. Whatever the white mush was, look nasty. Everything muffin and toast was stale. Please, please do better! read more

I will give this 2 stars because the lobby was decorated so lovely, looked so clean and nice and Becca at the front desk managed the whole building so well. Poor thing had to deal with me coming to front desk way too many times while she had a line of people to check in. None of this is her fault. On a Thursday nt with music event in town that we learned of, she should not be here alone- staffing an issue? she should not be left alone on a Thurs nt 1- I am traveling with my 86 and 87 yo parents, dad is handicap. I asked for first floor room. At 3 pm it wasn't ready so we left and came back later. Becca was so excited to have a room close to lobby for my parents. I went to go into room 114, the door was left open in the frame- prob stuck and didn't close? I pushed it opened and said hello, no one was there, beds stripped, fresh folded sheets in dresser, trash full, one towel. Couldn't trust it to be clean, I went back to front desk where Becca had a line of people. She felt horrible. We waited with our things in cafe and she was quick to find us another room. Again lobby full of people. Poor Becca and super poor for your guests to observe this issue even tho We remained kind and calm and Becca was amazing. 2-We went to our new room only find super strong dog smell. We were aware it's a pet friendly hotel but expected certain rooms to have pets, not all, only to learn from Becca, floors 1-2 are pet friendly and floor 3 is the only one pets aren't allowed. My senior mom says ' what about seniors- at least handicap shouldn't they have first floor over pets?'- good point mom! Third floor had no vacancies! Our options? Leave, use spray in room or use first room 114 and either make our own beds or wait for Becca to have a free moment to come make room for us. My parents have been traveling all day on this day 9 of our 10 day road trip, we couldn't leave and were not about to make beds, sorry. So, we opted to use spray and stay I the room. Again Becca was apologizing profusely, other guests felt so bad for us and were concerned about their rooms.... I did tell Becca I'd like to speak to manager in the morning since she said she was all alone and there was none else to speak with. I told her I will not freak out, I refuse to be rude, but it is a big deal for us and your future guests. I want to recommend and like this hotel, the room is actually nice and appears clean but should not smell!! I'd only recommend if these things are addressed. And I'd personally in stay at one if I see room and smell it first! read more

We have had good stays here in the past, but there is one ahole downstairs calling the front desk for a noise complaint every time we walk into the room! And the front desk isn't even listening to our side. Now we have to not be able to relax in our room to stay here for 3 nights like we don't exist, walk on egg shells, because someone is complaining and the desk won't listen to us! These people have never stayed in a hotel before!? There Are other people here! And it's not "quiet hours!" It's been at 4pm, 5pm, and 7pm! I'm surprised this hotel could act like this. VERY Dissatisfied that I have to feel like this, not be heard, not be able to enjoy my stay, and be threatened by the front desk when I'm paying to stay here! Very nice looking and clean considering the limited services due to Covid. Checked in after 4:00 and given a room on the second floor. Lugging our luggage only to open the door to a unclean room. Given another room on the third floor and at 8:30 am, there was banging and yelling outside in the hallway. Missed the limited breakfast which ended at 9:00. We wanted to sleep in but the yelling and banging startled us. Reported this to the front desk. Found out later in the day why, someone was hitting the non working ice machine. I guess they were angry over no ice. I reported the non working machine to the front desk. Tiles in the bathroom are falling off near the tub and the toilet runs. You need to shake the handle to stop it from running. No cleaning of the room either. We went down ourselves for clean towels. It's easy to blame things on Covid but in some cases, it's an excuse for a lack of service. read more

Front Desk: Mary & Kim great Sales: Tiffany C: a nightmare She lied abt policy/procedures. I never reached out to sales, booked via corporate. Confused me w/another client. I wasn't obligated to work w/sales (10+ = group), I had 6. She obtained my information, called & emailed me w/o consent to push her personal agenda & threats. Threat: cancel my rooms b/c booked under me & my rewards. Spoke w/front desk prior to confirm details & inform room assignment @ checkin. Tiffany's Lie #1: "Unfortunately you cannot have all 6 rooms under your name, wyndham rewards and aarp rate. Each room will have to be under the guest that will be staying in the room. This will need to be changed prior to arrival. If you are paying for all of these rooms I will need a credit card authorization form filled out as well. Lie#2: "This is for any property you cannot check into more than one room under your name. You are one person not 2." The lies continued w/abrasive behavior. I complied to adding the names prior. I told her okay let's add the names now since you called me, her reply "I am not going to do it, you can call corporate or whoever you said you did your reservations with & do it. If this is not done prior, when you arrive to checkin, your reservations will be canceled & you will not be able to check in". Wow, I don't know who got on her bad side but I got the grunt of it that day! I called corporate to try to intervene since her moral compass & ethics didn't align w/the franchise basic procedures/terms. She was rude to corporate as well. I dealt w/ this matter 9:30am- 6:15pm(calls, emails, customer care, cancellations & new hotel search to new reservations elsewhere). She later diplomatically apologized to smooth things over for stretching the truth about the terms. Though the rooms booked doesn't constitute having to meet group terms she messed up w/the wrong person I do travel & generally book an excess of 15+ rooms. I WILL NOT recommend your location as long as she is still there! According to your reviews it seems like you got it right w/your front desk. But all parts have to work together, Tiffany is hurting the team. It's true you get what you pay for! Results: canceled all rooms & chose a better caliber hotel. Money wasn't the factor; a peace of mind was. If it starts off rocky it probably would have ended the same! I didn't want to chance it. But Kim(front desk) still tried to retain me for a future stay; she remained positive & professional while I canceled every last one of my rooms. Kim needs Tiffany's job! Stayed for 2 nights. The door did not close well, the safety latch was very hard to get closed. There was apparently a problem with the previous shower curtain being broken out of the wall and once I managed to get the shower to turn in due to how tightly it was closed, it was impossible to get it turned off again. The toilet was not glued to floor... this is a pretty huge safety hazard with kids in the room. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and poor ventilation. Throughout the room I found several very sticky spot on the floor -pretty gross- I wore shoes in my room the whole time.The breakfast consisted of thawed out mini bagel trays, yogurts and single serve covered cups of cream cheese put into individual plastic cups with lids, absolutely bare minimum to be able to call it a breakfast, not even cereal for kids. The pool was decent, the beds were clean and when I complained about the shower and toilet, it was taken care of before we returned to the room. What I got is certainly not in line with how much I was charged for the stay. read more

We have been coming to Lancaster for 20+ years. We remember when this hotel was built. We always wanted to stay here and we did a few times before. This time it was an overall great stay. Great staff. We got there a little early and they were able to accommodate an early check in. Very much appreciated after a long drive. The rooms were clean. The elevator was a little slow but otherwise OK. Fitness center and pool were very nice. I was not very happy with the breakfast offered. We went down at 7:50 AM and there was basically nothing left of the food. Breakfast is supposed to go to 9AM. That was my only complaint. read more

Walls are super thin. Can hear every word of our neighbors phone calls- and he's not yelling. Also, upon checking into our room, there was urine all over our toilet seat. Called the front desk. While La Quinta Inn is not a 5 star hotel, it is an excellent choice if you want a comfortable stay with extremely helpful staff, comfortable beds and a pretty good breakfast. Our booking here was a last minute debacle after a disastrous experience at a local B&B. Frankly, with the experience we were having at the B&B we were booked into we were willing to stay anywhere. Luckily, La Quinta had a room available and I quickly snapped it up. The room rate was extremely reasonable, however, I probably would have paid anything at that point just to get out of the B&B. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It's the first time i've ever stayed in a La Quinta hotel. The room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a large flatscreen TV with a ton of channels including some movie channels, a refrigerator and even a microwave. The WiFi worked flawlessly and so did the AC unit (I like it chilly at night). We did not deal much with any of the service employees other than at check in, but every one we saw was pleasant and said hi. The front desk staff are exceptional. Immediately fixing my only issue during the entire stay, new batteries in the TV remote control. Changed with a smile! Breakfast was pretty good. It's not a restaurant so you'll get the usual hotel fayre, bacon, sausage, waffle maker if you want to make yourself a waffle, scrambled eggs, bagels, cereal, etc. All of it was pretty good. A lot better than other included breakfasts i've experienced in other hotels. We visit Lancaster PA a couple of times a year, and I think the next time we go i'll definitely book here again. read more

Stayed here while visiting family.... Hotel is very clean, rooms well kept, staff all friendly. They have a HUGE variety of breakfast items to choose from. Kids LOVED the indoor heated pool and hot tub ( nothing beats swimming when's it snowing outside) Also a huge bonus for us is they are PET FRIENDLY and they also do NOT charge you a daily fee for your pet to stay there. Close to shopping and lots of attractions and food. We will definitely stay here again when we visit :) read more

The hotel is okay. I found the sheets to be itchy, walls to be super thin, and the breakfast wasn't my cup of tea. Also - and this is a BIG one for me on vacation-- the hot tub was BROKEN! Several years ago me & the Mrs came here Liking the decore , the Outdoor Gazebo & the adjoining Amish corn fields ! Made it feel true Amish in the Heart of Lancaster County. Although there hearty breakfast was anything but that unless your a 7 - 12 year old kid used to eating corn flakes or frosted flakes , Some go old frozen orange juice. They don't clean the rooms because of the virus. The breakfast buffet is just bagels, muffins tea and coffee. It is still a decent place to stay. Best of all they allow pets. I will stay there again. I hope it gets better when this virus is no longer a problem. read more

Great friendly staff. Room was comfortable and clean. We even got a call in the middle of the night from the front desk to say that we had left our lights on to our vehicle! If they would not have called us, then it would delay our long trip two states away by waiting for AAA! Remember folks: That's one of the reasons why they ask you the type of vehicle you are driving. Had a issue with the guest dogs, asked to have mgr call me.. 2 days later no call still so called Corporate then promised I would hear from hotel with in a week. Made a reservation a month ago and researched to ensure cats are allowed. Online it states pet friendly but only domesticated pets like cats and dogs. When I show up today they turned me away because they dont take cats. Left me high and dry!! There is a sports championship this weekend and I had to end up finding another hotel hours away. My daughter and I arrived for an overnight trip very tired and grumpy but our mood quickly improved when we were checked in by a very polite and courteous employee. We got into our room and it was clean, specious and stocked fully with towels, etc. I had a problem turning the shower on and a very nice woman came up and got it going. La Quinta is a great choice when traveling with pets. This one is located conveniently to all the tourist places to see while visiting Amish country. The room was clean and breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from. The reason for only 3 stars was that other than front desk staff, other staff were very unprofessional. Breakfast staff had their own music in the kitchen turned up so loud that it was very difficult to hear the tv in the breakfast area. Laundry room staff had their own music playing as well that leaked out into the first floor hallway where our room was. We also witnessed a maintenance staff who coughed up phlegm and spit it into the drinking fountain. Needless to say it was not the normal quiet atmosphere most hotels strive to give guests. read more

this hotel is good enough..but not the quality we are used to for similar pricing with other hotel chains (hilton,holiday inn..etc) 4 people in a room and there is 1 shampoo in the bathroom. there is some disrepair on the walls in room and bathroom. there are no big blankets on the beds,there really needs to be more bedding..it is December:/ the pool is a big dissappoibtmebt..it's very small and same with the Hottub.
