Interesting. This was my first time visiting a Tru by Hilton. The rooms are small and very light on amenities. No coffee maker, no microwave, just a tiny refrigerator, two beds, and a TV. They seem to focus on making the lobby a social gathering spot. Rooms are very clean though and the bed is extremely comfortable! The lobby was quite nice. Foosball tables, lots of board games, plenty of places to sit, visit, and work. They have coffee, tea, and hot water on tap 24-7, and their pancake and egg breakfast bar is really awesome. The microwave is located in the lobby too. Walls and floors are a bit on the thin side. I could hear people walking around above me all night long, and walking past other rooms I could clearly hear televisions and conversations. Overall, I'd describe the rooms as very 'minimalist'. If you're wanting a place to relax and get away, this may not be for you. If you're an active person just looking for a place to sleep, grab a decent breakfast, and stow your stuff while you're out all day, this place is great. If you're into socializing with other guests, this place is also great. read more

I thought this was a brand new hotel but turned out they been open for 5-6 years. Very well mantained! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Tru by Hilton in Denver, PA; checking in on October 23rd 2025, checked out on October 26th 2025. This hotel is very nice, modern, clean and looks practically new. I asked the staff if this is a newly built hotel and they explained that "No, it's been here a few years". Well I must say it's very well maintained. The lobby, eating and reception areas are big and the decor is fun. It has a mural with an Amish painting that matches the area's vibe. The pool is clean and heated. It has a Gym which we didn't use. Laundry room as well. Huge plus for us, it has EV charging stations for 6 vehicles. Plenty of parking space and handicap spaces as well. This hotel has 4 floors. There's two sizeable elevators to take you to your floors, and they're pretty quick too. Our room is spacious, has a mini fridge, and lots of outlets, it lacks a closet but it has plenty of hooks to hang the clothes. The 55" TV is large for a hotel room, it has Netflix, Apple, SiriusXM, etc.. Our King size bed was super comfortable, the pillows doesn't hold the shape and/or form it goes flat easily, I had to ask for two more extra pillows. The bathroom is enormous considering the size of the room. It has plenty of toiletries and towels. the shower has excellent water pressure and gets hot quickly. Our room and floor was nice and quiet. The true star of this establishment is the staff, they shine though and through, extremely helpful, amiable and professional. Amanda in housekeeping was very helpful in inquiring to our needs. Becky, Vanapoli, Lori and Vienna in reception were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this Tru by Hilton in Denver, PA. This is my first time staying at Tru and to be honest I didn't even know there was a Tru. My Season Saints Ministry trip landed me there this weekend. We were welcomed by a friendly lady at the door with all of our room keys. There was water and snacks waiting for us in the lobby along with a beautiful welcome sign. The next day, while we're having breakfast, the same lady was there making sure everything was good for us but she was dressed pretty casual. I later found out that she had the day off but came in to make sure we needed nothing until we departed for our excursion. Her name is Linda Lovenstein, General Manager, director of Sales and Marketing. What dedication!!!! She also made sure I got credit for my stay on my HH membership. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated with a classic chic flair. They do have a fridge but not a microwave. There are no closets and plugs on one night stand but plenty plugs around the rooms for all your electronics but you can't plug your phone near you. We had checked out of the Tru Hilton Denver hotel in PA. We had brought up our concerns/complaints we had discovered last night when we arrived. We check under the mattresses and headboard for signs of bedbugs and other debris. The mattress had what appeared to be urine stains.. the back of the headboard was disgusting with dirt and hair and crumbs. Just absolutely disgusting. The lady at the front desk who had checked us in didn't seem to care and turned a blind eye to the situation and had us switched to a different room. We did another check on our different room and it had the same issues. Since we weren't able to get any help from anyone I took it upon myself to write a review and post pics to the hotel's page. It's the next morning and I check to see if they got back and they did. Didn't seem to really care either. And when we checked out, we brought up the situation to the lady who was at the front desk for the morning. She said she was the housekeeping supervisor. She got the assistant manager who told us she was on the phone with the general manager who said she wasn't happy with what we had to say and was offended. So, we were in the wrong for addressing health concerns and a dirty environment that had been paid over $140 for one night. And she's unhappy? Because they get called out for being scum. Never again. And she wants us to contact her on a Tuesday. I don't have the time to wait until Tuesday. You're gonna hear about it now. Do better. Have a great day. read more

Very nice complementary hot breakfast, and a big plus as they offer free EV charger.the only 2 things that we were not happy was the lack of room service(replacement towels and bed making) was by request only and that makes the experience less desirable, and it was very loud during night hours. I don't know if that's because the bad insulation or because we were on the 1st floor. But definitely you don't want to ear the guest next door going to the bathroom.. read more

This is a nice reasonably priced modern hotel that is clean, great front desk staff and good breakfast. Check in was easy and I appreciate being checked in earlier than 3pm. The lady who checked me in was absolutely a sweetheart I loved her positive attitude and she accommodated my request for a room that was away from all the commotion as I had to study. Breakfast is good as well and the rooms are clean only thing I saw was some strands of hair in the bathroom but nothing bad though it's just my OCD haha. Best thing you can bring your fury friends with you as pets are allowed. If back in the area, I'll definitely stay here again. read more

The site is clean, quiet. Nice windows with a view. The breakfast is great. For business travel, when a receipt is needed.. if you book and pay for it online, you will be told the front desk will not provide a receipt. However, if you book online and pay at the hotel, let them know they are able to provide a receipt. Because when you call later and ask, you may get cut off in mid conversation. Worst Housekeeping ever ! Not as I expected Hilton hotel. My room on 3rd floor is tiny & noisy. I can barely hear noisy next to my room & above me. Wierd things in the morning loud noisy (people making out) from next door and when I get out from my room, I saw the housekeeping, megan with an old man came out from next door, she looks surprised & embarrassed. We stayed at this hotel for 6 days, and we loved it! It's new, nice, clean, and trendy! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It appeared that the staff was multitasking, so please be patient with them. We were happy that they offered breakfast here and it was good. Check in was easy. When I made the reservation I chose to pay at the Hotel. When I arrived they said they had already charged the reservation to the card, it wasn't pay when you arrive. They didn't tell me you have to ask for room service, as our room wasn't attended to. I had to go to the lobby for towels. They say Showtime and Netflix are free, the apps wouldn't open up to use. They tried to get it to work, but couldn't. The room is small, but comfortable. This room is definitely not for remote work, we had the king room. There are no dressers to put your clothes in, you will be living out of your suitcase. When they prepared the bed after the last guest, they left crumbs under the fitted sheet. We had to remove the sheet to brush off the crumbs. The room otherwise was clean. There is a blackout curtain that does its job! If a guest that is above you has a heavy foot or moves the chair, you hear it. They have a nice breakfast. There are plenty of choices. The parking is plentiful and they do have charging spaces for the electric vehicles. The room is good for a few nights for a couple, I am not sure how it is if you stay with children. If you like the Amish atmosphere, this is not the location for you to stay. The area is for the people looking for antiques, as Adamstown is the Capital of Antique World. Ronks is about 20 miles from the hotel, if you know the backroads! The hotel is located off of I-76, exit 286, about a quarter mile from the exit. This is a nice hotel. All the employees were pleasant and accommodating. read more

This review is for the Tru by Hilton, location known as "Denver" Pennsylvania, which is actually, also called "Euphrata" by the locals and near the Penn-Turnpike, west of Adamstown, PA. Had never stayed at this location, accepted a marketing offer from Hilton for $100.00 per night which swelled to $125.00 total with high PA taxes!!! Cancelled a 2nd night stay at this place. So, was aware the "Tru" label attempt by Hilton to market to a younger high school-college-millenial aged (demographic) client. Yes, it definitely shows at this location. Bright colors, teenager type layout, hipster-type games, communal layout, food bars for breakfast and emphasis on poor nutrition quick snack foods in the lobby area. Lots of signs posted, including the poor employees who have to wear t-shirts with large lettering on them: work - play - enjoy, type marketing "mantras" as if everyone who stays here has to buy-in-to to a bizarre sort of hotel chain cult? With employees wearing "Uggs", t-shirts, jeans and face piercing type jewelry, this doesn't set a very professional atmosphere to stay. Feels like a very clean stay at a drop-in youth hostel. Reservation was not as booked, clerks claimed the location was "sold out" and we ended up, with a mid-floor room that faced the parking lot of the "Dunkin' Donuts" in the back with no option to move other room. LOUD traffic, noise, booming car-stereo music, other guests, hallway yelling and running children to the elevators. Poor view and nothing of scenic value. Really, a freshman frat-house atmosphere at this venue. Staff are not too attentive, friendly, appear to hourly-wage 1st-time employees, clueless about what to do if you bring any issue to attention. The room was ultra-hip type feel (small) compacted, small amenities, felt much like being trapped overnight in an "Ikea" showroom exhibit. The weird choice of squeeze bottles for soap, shampoo, and toiletries and lack of extra toilet paper were not useful. The shower had very good water pressure! Towels were thick and clean. Bedding was just sad - hard thin mattress, thin comforter, only 3 standard pillows on King bed...no other extras. Front desk unable to offer anything more. Cannot figure out what draws this brand new hotel to this location? It is way out of place in the area ambience; overpriced at $125 a night ($68 options nearby) does not at all measure up to the brand quality standard of the Hilton chain. Not worth seeking this out, or, staying again. Not recommended. Rating: (**) Meh. I've experienced better, and, so should you! read more

Check in went well, though the modern design threw me off as to the check-in location. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Had breakfast the next day and the coffee was great (Lavazza) which provided a nice bold taste. The rooms are modern and small but very well set up. USB ports on the outlets and coat racks hanging on the wall was my favorite. The staff here is just amazing! They are give off a very friendly vibe and have simply been great. read more

We stayed during the Labor Day weekend and had a great time. Our son enjoyed the games available in the lobby. We appreciated the filtrated water system available on the first floor and welcoming employees. Breakfast was great and we appreciated the employees there to serve breakfast. It was a great hotel to stay in. I booked this hotel for 1 night and it was fantastic. Since I was a Hilton Honors Diamond Member, I could get a great snack when I was entering the room. The rooms were very clean, The TV was very easy to use and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great with all the stuffs I want. And also I could get a digital key to my room. It was just one tap of a button, and your room door opens! The staff was friendly, and overall I highly recommended to stay in this hotel. Great job, Hilton. read more

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Room was small, but very efficient use of space. Nicely decorated, large TV with great picture and sound, immaculately clean when we checked in. The breakfast bar had a decent range of choice of good food, from eggs, sausages and bacon to cold and hot cereals, bagels, various types of bread, good range of toppings for all of the above. But the best part was the staff. Warm, friendly, happy to be helpful and all are native English speakers. We had a problem with the mini fridge in our room not being cold enough. Within minutes, 2 young guys came up, apologized that they didn't have a spare fridge, removed it, fixed it, and brought it back fully functional. There's a 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar and alcoholic drinks and snacks are available to purchase from the front desk. The hotel floor we were on was quiet (quiet hours start at 10pm), carpeting throughout was perfect. Room had wood floor, which I consider more sanitary for inside a room. We stayed there while visiting the Wolf Sanctuary of PA, which is about 20 minutes away. read more

We didn't actually stay here, we just used the bathrooms on the main floor but I figured I'd write a review because these bathrooms were great! This hotel is good if you're staying for 1 night. This isn't an extended stay hotel. This hotel was mostly quiet throughout the week but when the weekend came it was loud, lots of kids and lots of loud music and partying at night. Woken up at 2 am by loud music and people in the next room. You can hear everything that goes on in rooms next to you and down the hall. Every time elevator arrives you hear the bell ding. It's ridiculous! The room was overall extremely small and sparse. No closet, no in room safe. Bed was hard and pillows are flat as pancakes. Bathroom was quickly cleaned. Shower floor dirty, shower glass dirty. You have to ask for your room to be serviced (with 24 hrs notice). For a Hilton I give this hotel 2 stars and that's only because they were close to where I needed to be while in PA. Ps while I type this the music is blaring in the next room. read more

This hotel looks super trendy the second you walk in. The desk workers are dressed in jeans and a company t-shirt. There is a hand lotion tube at the front desk. Family games are available in the lobby along with Foosball and a gigantic connect four game. The pool has all sorts of toys and the gym has a bosu ball, kettle bells, TRX, and a plyo box (which I'd never actually seen before). With all of these awesome features, why then would I rate them 2 stars? 3 reasons. 1. Security/safety- My son and I stopped by the desk shortly after checking in. When we made it back to the room I went to grab my key and he walked right in. When we left I heard the door click, telling me it locked. Apparently not. You need to shut the door tight in order for it to lock. So if you're not paying attention and expecting the door to shut and lock on its own, which it should, it won't! If this is a known issue (which it should be now), the front desk workers should warn guests to make sure they close their doors tightly or someone else could simply walk in, as my son did. This was by far my biggest concern. 2. The tubes they use for lotion, hand wash, shampoo, etc. is a really neat idea. Sadly, they tend to leak. When we first walked in to our room, the hand wash was in a puddle next to our sink. In the shower, the conditioner and body wash were both leaking on the floor. So 3 out of the 4 bottles in our room were having trouble keeping their liquid inside the bottle. I considered mentioning it to the front desk workers for their "make it right promise", but didn't want to be "that guy" bothering them over it. 3. Although the rooms look very modern, they feel cramped. Part of this might be to accommodate the larger bathrooms. Whatever the case, it felt much smaller than your average hotel room. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good, but until they fix the issues I mentioned above, particularly the door locking, I have trouble rating them more than a 2. Also just a general observation, the poor front desk staff seem to be overworked. With all of the other amenities, it seemed like a lot of the extra burden fell on them to facilitate things. Because they are wearing so many hats, some of their main duties suffer. During breakfast, the only front desk worker was busy helping with breakfast. While doing so, the line for check out stood around waiting for someone to help. The hotel might want to consider having an additional staff member on hand during particularly busy times (check out, check in) to help if needed. read more

I highly recommend this gem. We happened to find the Tru while at a tournament at "Spooky Nook". We had no idea what to expect but as a Hilton affiliate we were confident. Sure enough, the family loved it. Quaint and very accommodating. Avery Stark was a great addition to the experience. All questions or concerns we addressed with the greatest considerations. The pool, the gym and access to a friendly environment was more than we could have asked for. We will definitely return. As we are new to the circuit we will visit the area often with many players and parents and surely recommend the Tru. read more

My adult son and I spent a night here when we came into town to visit the local antique malls. It has an open and fun feel to it that the families staying there seemed to love. The room was super clean and we liked the minimalistic layout. Not cluttered feeling even though it was small. We didn't have an issue with the traffic sounds. It offered a nice little breakfast which was served by the staff for safety. We enjoyed it and would stay there again for sure. read more

I've stayed in many Hilton hotels, but my experience with Tru by Hilton in Denver, PA was so horrible that I will never stay at another Hilton. First, having foosball tables in the lobby is a bad idea. A half dozen unsupervised preteens were being loud and disruptive and causing damage to the lobby by throwing foosballs like baseballs. Three different parties were ahead of me in line requesting items for their room that should have been stocked. I checked in and was assigned a first floor room only feet away from all the noise of the Lobby. Immediately outside the window in the room was a line of several trucks all facing the window. The room only had a filtering blind, and this didn't offer us (two females) security or privacy. After much hesitation, I requested another room and was given a room on the second floor. This room had a lock that never worked since initial construction; the deadbolt was misaligned by an inch! Again, I returned to the desk and requested a third room, but they couldn't accommodate me and insisted the first room was perfectly acceptable. I asked for a manager and the front desk called her on their cell phone. This woman had the audacity to tell me I was unreasonable in my request, that I should just accept the first room, and even began yelling at me when I explained my concerns. She said there was no availability at any local Hilton and I should try a Best Western (it was now 10 PM). No apologies or explanations were given. I called Marriott and, as usual, they went above and beyond to find us a room that evening. When I wrote to Hilton's Customer Service, they replied saying they believe their hotel acted appropriately by refunding my stay. Hilton's customer service at every level is terrible. What a huge disappointment. read more
