Up until the owners arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Once the owners came in, the energy shifted. They didn't acknowledge guests -- not even a simple hello or smile. Instead, there were blank stares that made the environment feel uncomfortable. I also overheard a private conversation between them and an employee right by the front counter, which really should've been handled in the back for everyone's comfort. The crust tasted really fresh and had a nice softness. I also ordered a slice of their Chicago style, and think that this is where this place really stands out. This is not just thick fluffy crust that is being called Chicago crust -- here it's real Chicago crust which is more cakey,bready, buttery than what other places usually claim is Chicago crust. They put the toppings on the bottom and then the sauce, just like you're at Lou Malnati's or another Chicago place. I love that they sell it by the slice(!) for their flavor of the day.
