Made an appointment to get SNS. The woman was extremely rushed and put the wrong color powder on my nails and left a mess all over my cuticles. She was hardly paying attention to what she was doing. I showed her she put the wrong color on and she just said sorry and had to move on. When I paid I asked, if you're not going to fix the color do I get a discount? She gave me a $5 discount off of $40 treatment that's the wrong color and looks terrible. Told me to come back another time if I want it fixed (but she couldn't do it then). read more

I have been going to Studio Nails for about 10 years now. I first had John do my nails, and after he moved, Lisa took over. When Lisa did return to the studio after Covid, TeeJee (TG) started doing my nails. I have been so happy with my nails and my SNS powder always looks fabulous. However, TeeJee (TG) is on vacation from May 18, 2022 until July 2022. When I went for my appointment today, with someone recommended to me by the staff, that person was no longer there. In fact, the whole staff has turned around in the last 3 weeks. The stylist, Frances, who did my nails today was rude, inconsiderate, and very rough. My nails are rough and don't look at all like they should. I won't be reutrning unless TeeJee (TG) returns. Very sad to see this wonderful studio take a huge decline in their staff. read more

I've been getting gel-polish here for the last few months. Their polish is better then when I tried the gel-polish phenomenon about a year ago. Not sure what they do different, but it lasts 3+ weeks and DOES NOT CHIP!!! I can't give a 5 star, there are the typical language barriers that come with these type of places. They've never been rude by any means, but just always that communication awkwardness. I keep coming back! Got my eyebrows done once too and the guy did a great job as well. I've frequented studio nails since they opened in university oaks. Service has always been top notch service until the new turn over. My nails were ruined by Kim. I even went to her for removal trying to save the integrity of my nails! She didn't seemed concerned the gel/acrylic was 1/3 to 1/2 thick on my nails. I only recognize one or two original workers! So sad to see this place going down hill. Wish I knew where Tammy was working. TG still has it going on but she's on long term vacation... don't waste your money at this place... read more

They were nice and did a decent job on a mani/pedi. I opted for the $35 package which was a regular manicure and a spa pedicure. When it came time to pay, I had my tip in cash ready and a gift certificate that I was given for $35 and they told me that the gift certificate was from the previous owner and they expired in 6 months. My gift certificate had a purchase date but the expiration date area was empty (whoever sold the gift certificate didn't fill out any expiration date). I told them the name of the salon, the address, the phone # was all on my gift certificate and again they told me this was from the previous owner. They showed me what their current ones look like (they say expires in 6 months). Is this my fault? My problem? If it was a different name, or had I known about this prior to, maybe I wouldn't have gone there in the first place. I simply said that my gift certificate was valid because it was their name and it didn't have an expiration date and that I would not be paying money - I would be using my gift certificate. She said ok and took my gift certificate and cash tip. If they were going to take it all along, why put me through the hassle? As much as I liked the 2 ladies who did my nails, I won't be going back here because now I am just embarrassed! read more

I feel like this review is necessary. In turns of an over All spa the staff is nice, but service is limited. The pedicure I received was good. No complaints about that at all, other then that I felt like my seat was so far up, but anyways as for getting nails done here I would suggest to don't. I posted below on how I wanted my nails to look and how they turned out. Keep in mind I did show them the picture and told them I wanted my nails to look exactly like it, mid way through painting my nails the gentleman chose the wrong Color and didn't ask me about it until he was about half way done, then when my nails were finished he used gel instead of powder and told me after he finished that I should've used power instead of gel. Again i didn't specify what I wanted I just asked him to make my nails look like the picture, as for the overall experience I felt it was poor he kept on switching spots over and over even through we were already half through the process, I'm always open to trying new experiences but I will not be returning. The place is kept up but there is a very big change in the staffing and the customer service. The prices are ridiculous to me. I think even if they lowered them $3 to $5 it would make a huge difference. I like this salon because I've come here for years but I admit I stopped going once they hiked their prices up. I'm a woman who gets very short and simple nails and I walk out of there feeling as if I paid for a nail set with long tips and detailed designs. It's just unreasonable for me to pay $50 not including a tip every two to three weeks. I've shopped around and found more reasonably priced nail salons that are affordable for you to keep up with your nails. Went in on a busy Sunday, so the wait was expected, I did appreciate waiting in the relaxing chair with my feet soaking. My friend and I were shown a menu that had 2 choices. Deluxe and Deluxe, no I'm not joking, LOL. Both cost 35 bucks and then on the back was another choice for 50. We went with one of the deluxe pedicures called "mask". No water or drinks were offered like other nail salons with similar prices. My pedicure was wildly different than my friends. I had a massage, she didn't. The man doing my pedicure did not trim my nails or cuticles. He just buffed them. My friend had her nails trimmed and attention focused on cuticles and no massage. Then mask used (premeasured and cheap portions) and a hot towel for 5 minutes. Washed off and painted. Both of our pedicures looked good and the nail polish wasn't old. (You know the old water it down until it's not polish anymore thing some salons do). My friend's nail tech got up mid-pedicure and another lady replaced her, no explanation. It was just odd and not relaxing. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't special, relaxing or worth 35 bucks. read more

So usually I am not one to review but I have to let my fellow ladies know what they're getting myself into. I came in and asked for a simple dip powder, coffin shape, & matte on my real nails. The lady who was doing my nails was SUPER nice and sweet however, I feel as though she did not execute my vision properly. I left pretty unsatisfied because my nails were not coffin shape, they were dull and had a more square design & also, i asked for a matte color and instead of putting a matte nail polish on my nails she just left it as is after she buffed & "shaped" my nails. I don't think this nail salon is horrible, i don't think the customer service was horrible either. However, if you are looking for an extravagant nail design i would not recommend this location. Stick with simple colors/designs and I'm sure you'll leave satisfied. read more

No. My nails are DESTROYED. Came in for a mani pedi with a girlfriend. Pedicure: Water was freezing cold. After asking for the water to be warmer, it was raised about one degree. Only positive was the massage and polish. Manicure: Didn't even get past the removal of my old SNS. The tech used a drill on my natural nail beds and completely demolished them. I decided to cut my losses and go back to my usual salon. My nails are so thin and bendable. She doused a bunch of cuticle oil on them, as if that would help. They're not even filed evenly. I am surprised by the reviews on here... I have never had my nails done here though, so that may be why I have had a different experience. I have been here twice (and have had two different ladies) now for eyebrow waxing. Both times it was done GREAT!!! I only review a place when I have a STRONG opinion in either direction. I can honestly say I have walked out of there both times thinking that it was the best waxing job I'd had! They not only spread hot wax on and rip off, but they really took their time and shaped them nicely. She waxed, then plucked the few straggling hairs that evaded the wax, then she took the scissors and trimmed them down nicely so that no stray hairs would stick up in funny places. Both of the women I have been to did this. Both took a long time to shape them nicely. Usually I have to go home and still pluck a few hairs they missed, but not when I came here...... Oh and the price is right too... $10 for a waxing. Which I believe is about standard, however as I said, this was not just your standard waxing at all!! read more

I walked in and got a crappy normal manicure. The manager even did it, I found this out after the police were called.... She was rough, rude and cut my finger. I told her twice while she was doing my nails I wouldn't pay her. Then when I tried leaving after drying, she stepped in front of my way and demanded I pay. With the low rating, now I see why, she needed every cent. No big deal! I ended paying after she grabbed my wrist, and all her yuppity regulars started fending for her. I stayed and waited for the cops, that's right she and her yuppity regulars called the cops because I was "yelling" and not paying the lowsy $13 for a shitty manicure. DO NOT COME HERE!!!. Then she will be out of business, no CUSTOMER deserves to put up with that and for all the folks who filmed, please put it on Facebook! We will definitely need to bring negative attention to that nail salon- but it seems Google reviews and Yelp already know that..I should have kept searching for a better place. We were both in the wrong at the end of the day, especially the bitch who stood behind my car to avoid me leaving without paying. Like wtf! You do a shit job, you dont get paid, ....at least thats the way america runs customer service...but I recommend DO NOT COME HERE, spend your money on people who care, who take their time and dont screw up your nails!!!! If your looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place. I went it last Saturday and had my nails and toes done. Everyone was really nice and comforting. The lady that did my nails, her name was Lisa, she did amazing. She took her time, made sure to go back and touch up and was very nice. Bobby did my toes. HE is worth a million bucks. He spent 15 minutes massaging my legs, stopped to feel to make sure my feet were soft while scrubbing and did an amazing job on my toes. The two of them together is a power team! I felt really uncomfortable that they don't use towels when removing shellac polish and everything falls on the floor. And the color was very different from the sample. I talked to the manager and she said they don't always match.... Ummmm... Seriously. And the pedicure... I had to remind them to add a top coat. I have acrylics because otherwise I tend to chew my nails to the quick and tear my cuticle to bits. John always does a fantastic job, leaving my nails nice and thin and natural looking, instead of like little blobs of plastic glued on to the ends of my fingers. He's quiet and efficient, and doesn't feel the need to talk my ear off or pretend to be interested in my life and I like that. The pedicures are nice but my five stars are distinctly for John.
