Wait times are insane. Over and hour in the waiting room alone, it really confuses me how Drs and dentists make you make appointments yet they never honor it. Never had any real issues beyond that, they don't really do follow up calls so you need to remember yourself to call and hound them for your results. Front staff is friendly enough, I was here when a dentist did give my little brother a hard time because his teeth were bad. We have never to been to dentists before, our parents never prioritized it for us so we never did until now that we are grown so that attitude from her to him was very unnecessary and exactly why we are scared to come to the dentist :( read more

I am pleasantly pleased that we did come here after all. My mom is on a fixed income and on Medicare being a senior and retired. So of course they accept her insurance. Although still not paid off completely, we did get to have her procedure for dentures at a fraction of what we would of paid for had we not had her insurance. Although still not the cheapest price, it definitely is at a fraction. And the fact that we get to pay them off in 5 visits that I stretched out is absolutely perfect. So it doesn't hurt as much as it would if I had to of paid it in one lump sum. Check with your Dentist and ask the receptionist for a breakdown before any procedure. The staff at this location are very kind and professional and for me that is a big plus. They do have a little jungle gym for kids, but I was happy that later hours are okay since I work late. Some days they do stay longer also so please ask. I highly recommend them and will be returning for my moms other procedures. read more

Jennifer is a great dentist, took my concerns seriously and all around made my appointment smooth sailing. What the company needs to do is hire competent front desk staff that properly communicate with patients in a TIMELY manner, NOT 2 hours before their appointment! I booked an appointment semptember 6th for an extraction today (October 4th). I did not get any communication that the Dr I needed to see wasn't even IN today! I took 4 days off work for this appointment + the recovery. Instead I now have to manage to get my tooth out last minute. You should call a week beforehand, and for Monday patients especially call on Thursday or Friday AND LEAVE A MESSAGE! The unprofessionalism of the front desk staff means March was my first and last appointment with studio dental. Also, the front desk lady claims someone called me Saturday, I went through my call log and no one called on Saturday. This office is a joke, and unless this is your only option you should definitely go somewhere else. read more

I went to the location on Pulaski and 43 to get a root canal done . They said they took the impressions for my crown and that I had to wait 2-3 for it to arrive I said ok. I called them couple weeks later because they never called and they said the Crown was never ordered and that the process was not even done to or order it. Dr hiker is the only dr I'll see I had to see the other lady once on a emergency visit I was a walk in and hiker wasn't there and I was so disappointed she didn't even do anything for me , I needed a temp filling and she pretty much told me to go to the store n buy it so as I as leaving I made the appointment with dr hiker and when i seen her the next day she filled my tooth did a deep cleaning on that side and made me feel so much better I reccomened dr hiker 100% if she ever re located I would travel to see her read more

The service is ok and the staff is nice but every time the waiting period is ridiculous. Expect to wait over an hour or two hours beyond your scheduled appointment to be seen. They need to manage time better and schedule appointments appropriately. read more

Horrible service! The dentist put a crown on a cracked molar and said if pain persists then u need a root canal. NO PAIN MEDS were prescribed. Pain was too much came back and he just shaved the molar down with no anesthesia because there was no time... Pain is still intense and Studio Dental has lost a customer! I would give this negative stars if I could. The first appointment took my fiancé almost 3 hours. 2 of which they just left him waiting in the room for them to come back. Then today my fiancé was going to get his teeth pulled but not only were they unable to, they refused to give him any medication for an infection they found in his gums. They said, "we don't want to give you antibiotics because then the pain may go away and you may not go to someone else to get your teeth pulled." It is not only poor ethics but something we can also sue them over. They finally wrote a prescription after I informed them thusly. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. This dental practice seems to try to defraud Medicaid patients by telling them they need treatments that they don't actually need. But then they take walk ins off the street like Supercuts, so they have to be hurting for money. I was lied to from the first time I called this place. I told them that I saw my dentist 6 months ago (I did not go back because I had to go on Medicaid after losing my job and my regular dentist does not accept Medicaid). I got X-Rays and would those X-Rays be good for my exam with them. The woman who answered the phone said yes, and I gave her the name of my previous dentist. When I came in for my exam though, I was told that they would not see me unless they did their own X-Rays. I asked the dentist why they could not use my recent X-Rays and she said that most X-Rays are not usable because they are usually photocopies and they have digital X-Rays. That was not the worse thing this dentist did. She told me that I have 8 cavities. Now I have only had 3 cavities in my entire life, so I was suspicious. I waited for 6 months to see a new dentist (under the rules of my insurance) and guess what. This dentist took her own X-Rays and she said that I don't have any cavities. The Studio Dental dentist said that 7 of the alleged cavities were between the teeth and were "flossing cavities". It seems that dentists can tell if we don't floss, and this person took it upon herself to use that to try to defraud me and Medicaid. She also told me repeatedly that my insurance "would cover everything". And also said that insurance would cover fillings for some chips that I have in my bottom front teeth. I guess many people if told that they don't have to pay for something will accept things without asking questions. However, there are a lot of things I'd rather do than have 8 fillings up into my mouth. Especially if I don't need them. The funny thing is if she had said that I had one cavity I would have believed her. The one good thing that came of this is that I am now flossing a lot more often than I used to and using a mouthwash. So my gums are healthier now. read more

This was my kids place for 8 years they where ok until the last 2 appointments. I always took the first appointment on Saturday at 9 am and was in and out. The last two was a three hour wait and rude reception talking about each other and greeting family. On the last appointment we showed up to signed in as usual and had a 9 am appt showed up 20 minutes early. 4 other people showed up including a receptionist family member and they were all serviced before us. I questioned them about it and was rudely told we would be next. Once it was our turn the dentist rushed thru two of my boys teeth and my other son she said needed cleaning but would have to wait another hour because they didn't have sterilized equipment ready to use. She said she could do it manually but that would take 30 minutes and would take too long! I told her I rather her spend 30 minutes cleaning his teeth than waiting another hour that could turn into a two hour wait!! Once she was done I made them aware we would not be returning and to remove them for future calls. To this day I still get a call a month to set up an appointment. I have since switched dentist with much nicer staff and are not rude when you have a question or concern. read more

I have had a better experience in past years. I have been coming to the business for 3 years now, and today I had the worst experience. I get to my appointment on time, and I had to wait one hour to be seen by a dentist. Never had I waited that long before. I specified when I scheduled my appointment I wanted a check up on a tooth ache and a cleaning. The dentist just looked at my tooth ache, and sent me home after 15 minutes, told me to come back in the week for a cleaning. I could tell the dentist was in a hurry to get out of there, so because of the bad experience and horrible customer service, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Such a shame. read more

So unfortunately this was a terrible experience. 1st we got there with a 1:00 appointment and we didn't get seen or called back until 1:45. Then the dental assistant was either new or just plain silly because she couldn't even take an X-ray right she was all in my mouth and didn't treat me like a patient more like a dummy.it took 2 people 2 tame my x rays. And then the dentist cane in the room she didn't introduce herself or told me what was happening. She was cold and started diving right in to my mouth. Then after examining me and it was time to do some procedures they had me wait an extra 45 min in the chair just 2 see if my issurance could cover it. Dr Obi has been our family dentist for 7years, he has been great since day one. Always takes the time to answer my questions. I have tried a different location once before just because it was closer to where I live but nope!!! I had to go back. My appointment was at 5:00 and it's 6:40. I've yet to be attended. The dentist was empty when I arrived but until 7 patients later did they decide to tell me my dentist had to go. Which is understandable. What's not understandable is that they attended 7 patients that arrives after me before. I am disgusted with this dental clinic!! I was passing by this dental clinic one day in 2008, and decided to have them do some dental work for me. Little to my knowledge, I quickly learned how HORRIBLE their service was. As a patient, I felt my needs were not met, they did not give a ounce of sympathy to the horrible job they did on my mouth! It seemed like all they care about was my money which was a job well over $10,000, and they used the cheapest products on my teeth!! Currently in 2011 I have extreme pain in my mouth, everything I eat causes pain in my jaw along with headaches! Tell me are you suppose to feel like this after a dental job done 3 years ago??? I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and he stated it was the cheapest dental job done with the cheapest material he has ever seen!!!!!! The Studio Dental will be refunding my money, as they acknowledged this was a petty job!!!!! Now it will cost a couple of thousands more to get this problem fixed!!! Please don't even get me started on their staff!!! I did not feel the attention I was suppose to receive as a patient, they did not care about my pain physically and emotionally! The manager was just repeating the same thing to me everyday that "she will talk to her boss regarding my refund". I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL STUDIO TO ANYONE!
