My first time at this office I sat there and cried as a 23 year old woman explaining my story. I was scared. I was embarrassed. During my appointment the dentist told me that it doesn't matter how much makeup I wear, how I do my hair, that people will always judge me for my teeth and oral health. ( yes true ) That made me very insecure and upset. I literally sat in his chair and cried for like 10 minutes if not more. And that's your response? To the point I again, I didn't go to a dentist for a number of years. ( until a week ago ) Yes my oral health suffered over those 4 or 5 years because I was truly scarred from my dentist visit in New York. But being told that my overall appearance won't matter to people because my oral health is so bad was not the way to say what he needed to say. I found it very damaging and way out of line. It made me insecure to the point I didn't wear any makeup or nice clothes to my most recent dentist appointment at a different new office here in Westchester. The new office was very welcoming, understanding and extremely nice and VERY EMPATHETIC to what I had been through with my last two different dentist appointments. I honestly do not recommend this office. It made me embarrassed and scared to enter another dentist office for almost another 4 years. That's almost a whole decade without dental care because of mishandling by two different dentists for different reasons. Your doctors are there to support you, be honest, empathetic, and uplift you. It can be embarrassing when you have failed or failing teeth but she and her staff put me at ease immediately. A few weeks later I came in for the extraction and they did an awesome job. I waited for a bit but they were very accommodating- going so far as offering to put a fan in the waiting area for me because I mentioned it was a bit warm. The entire extraction took almost 2 hours but I didn't feel a thing. She made sure that the area was well anesthetized, telling me she didn't want me to feel anything and I didn't! During the process she kept checking in with me, offering to take breaks if I needed it and making sure I was still comfortable. She was tenacious during the extraction, which was quite a difficult one due to the decayed nature of the tooth but she was eventually successful. Very happy to go and see her again as well as making her my primary dentist!

Unfortunately now, hygienists there are not even skillful enough to perform regular cleaning. They clean your teeth with a paste then send a claim to the insurance asking to be paid for periodontal deep cleaning. I swear to God, I used to have regular cleaning way better than what they call "deep cleaning". They are only interested in your insurance money. I seldom see a doctor now. Do your teeth a favor and find a real dentist with a competent hygienist. Sorry, I could not find lower than one star to evaluate their "business"
