Why I gave the practice 4 stars: 1. I never saw my X-rays even when I was told they would be shown to me on the tv. 2. I have one chipped tooth that is resin filled. It is more than 15+ years old and I don't know how much of the tooth is mine. I let the Dr know that I want to get a new filling. My previous dr recommended a veneer but I wanted a second opinion to see if it was aligned with what my former dentist recommended. Floss & Co Dr couldn't tell where my filling ended bc it wrapped around my tooth. She asked me if I knew where it ended. No..I honestly wouldn't know; this made me lose some confidence in her professional knowledge because I would expect a dr to identify a chipped tooth. So she recommended a crown in lieu of a veneer. What I LOVED: 1. Every staff member greeted me and had a smile on their face. It's like they enjoyed working there. (You don't see that often!) 2. The office is spacious and inviting. If they had a coffee bar, I'd just stay longer to hangout. Usually dental offices are so bland/old/uncomfortable. 3. Free parking across the street and they have their own parking lot.

I found Alta dental online when I got as searching for dentist offices accepting my insurance, ( Medicaid) they were able to take me in that same week, originally a cleaning but unable to follow through due to sensitivity and they went ahead and called my insurance (meridian health) and got me approved for the deep cleaning and got that done today. I have to say the ambiance: amazing Cleanliness/friendliness: 5 stars Patient care: 10/10 received reassurance from dentist and dental assistant to make sure I was okay throughout the whole process. Between the last appointment and this bill Ive had emails about visits scheduled (multiple) which i had cancelling those ahead of time. So i will be disputing this and going somewhere else from now on. Edit: they reached out the same day I want to make this review a 5 star. As the situation resolves i will gladly change what i said about this place. I do like it but I'm not happy with the random overdue bill.

I told the front desk that it should be free per what they told me 2 weeks ago and there was not even an attempt to figure out who told me this or how the situation could be remedied. You can't tell someone their procedure will be free to get them in the door & then charge them after.
