From what I can tell he is extremely hard working and is booked with patients all day long. He runs this office with his wife, and I have nothing but thanks. They make my dental visits that much more pleasant, even my DAD claims that he doesn't even feel like he's going to the dentist when visiting Dr. Drahos. Dr Drahos and his staff put you at ease, and have all the latest technology. They do an xray, 5 minutes later, you're looking at it on the screen. I'm in awe. Dr. Drahos is such a great Dentist. He has a great memory (remembered stuff I told him 2 years ago) and genuinely cares about his patients. His whole staff actually shares his memory because they also follow up with me about things that I forgot happened. It's like going there to catch up with an old friend. He fixed my chip tooth (drunken fall from my 21st birthday) with a tooth colored filing and made it look good as new, plus didn't need a cap. He is so accomidating to the dental uninsured. His pratice is so clean and I can watch some trashy day-time TV without being judged (yes, each chair has a little TV for his patients) Dr. Drahos is a stand up guy who runs a great business and helps people along the way -- what else can you ask for in your Dentist? read more

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SEE EMILY DRAHOS!!! My first couple of visits were wonderful but then I went in for a toothache. Emily examined me and had X-rays taken. I was told that I needed a root canal. I was without dental insurance at the time and I could not afford to get a root canal. I asked Emily if I had other options and she said that I could have the tooth pulled. I asked when I would be able to have the extraction done and was told I could have it done immediately. I was then Informed it would cost $60 to have the tooth removed. Being that the tooth was in the back of my mouth, I agreed to have it pulled. At this point, I still hadn't been informed that the tooth was infected. I was given novocaine and minutes later the extraction began. I can't even begin to tell you how painful it was, I was actually in tears because the pain was so bad. I was told the tooth was big and she was having trouble removing it. I came to find out later that novocaine is less effective when there is an infection. My father was in the next room having a cleaning with Lee DRAHOS and heard me crying. AFTER the procedure Emily told that the tooth was infected and that she didn't believe in antibiotics and since the source of the infection was the tooth and that she removed it, I would be fine. I was sitting in the waiting room sobbing as I was waiting for my father. He asked what was wrong and I told him what had happened. He said it didn't seem right that the extraction was that excruciating. Two days later I was in so much pain, I couldn't even lift my head off the pillow that's how much pain I was in. I called and left a message for Emily and the phone call was never returned. The next morning I woke up with my left eye completely swollen shut. We called the office again and I was told to come in immediately. When Emily saw me she said " it looks like you have a post-op infection" and she prescribed an antibiotic. I also went to see my primary care physician who switched to a stronger antibiotic because the infection was so bad. Less than a week later I ended up in the ER with my eye swollen shut again. The infection had now traveled to my brain. I was hospitalized and started on aggressive IV antibiotics. I was hospitalized for a few days with a team of 5 different doctors treating me (an ENT, Infectious Disease, neurologist, ophthalmologist and my primary care doctor). I was also sent home on a picc line IV for two weeks, going to the hospital twice a day for iv infusions. I was also told by my doctors that if I didn't come into the ER when I did, I would have died. Emily has taken no responsibility for what she did and has never apologized for what she did to me. I was out of work for months and eventually had to give up my job as a full time hairstylist because the smell from the chemicals was affecting me. read more

Why a perfect score Why not? I have been a patient of Dr. Lee Drahos for 6+ years. Everytime I make my appointment, I get the red carpet treatment from the front desk receptionist, to the super awesome assistant Grace, and Dr. Drahos himself. No long waits in the waiting room. The facility is super clean equipped with state of the art flat screen televisions in each room to calm you down during your appointment. Dr. Drahos runs this facility with his wife Emily (who is also a dentist). Both graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago College of Dentistry and raised with parents as dentists. At the end of the day, it's a two man team so attention to detail and face time is a given. He's made such an impression on me to the point where my sister, mother, and father all use him as their primary dentist. Lastly, I am meticulous, take great care of my teeth, and have best in class insurance so I love that he is not trying to do a sales job on me and not trying to milk my insurance for every dollar. Dr. Drahos is someone I truly trust. I have recently relocated from Chicago to Washington D.C. To this day, he is still my primary Dentist. read more

I seen his father as a kid. Now i see Lee. I bring my entire family here and I will go no where else. I moved almost 40 minutes further and absolutely don't care. Dr. Lee is humble, professional reasonable with what he charges and will work with you. This is the guy who will fit you in "right now" if your in pain. I cant say enough about Dr. Lee. Dr Peter Drahos at the PG Family Dental at 9118 Ogden Avenue in Brookfield is highly recommended. He explains the entire procedure with accuracy and professional terms. Dr Peter makes you feel comfortable and assures you that all will be fine. Painless and effective. We had no insurance and he gave us a great discount and was very accommodating. Good prices. I love Dr. Drahos. He is a top knotch dentist, and his staff is very fun and friendly. He has a great balance between kind and knowledgeable. His father was a dentist, and there's an air to him about working hard and helping people that comes through every visit. I had teeth pulled with him, and his follow up concern and care was remarkable. His wife, Emily, is also a dentist at this practice. She is certainly more rough and gruff than him, but still does a good job. If you have the option, I would go with Dr. Lee. read more

Recently moving into the area I was in search of a great dentist. Several people recommended Dr Lee Drahos wife but since she was always booked I went to Lee. The 1st cleaning was nothing special, he insisted I needed new x-rays instead of just having my 6 month old x-rays transferred from my previous dentist. He then did the 'cleaning', I still had an abundance of plaque on my teeth when I left. The 1st experience was mediocre at best. 6 months later I tried again to get an apoinment with Emily, booked solid, so I figured I'd give Lee a second chance, everyone's entitled a bad day right? The second appointment was even worse than the 1st. I walked into the office and walked out in a grand total of 15 minutes. In that time during yet another piss poor cleaning I had to listen to Lee make small talk with the assistant about how he is too cheep to eat seafood. Emily may be a rock star of a dentist, I'll never know but I can tell you Dr Lee Drahos has waisted enough of my time and money. If you value your teeth, time & money please go elsewhere. read more

We came to Chicago with no medical aid b/c my husband is South African and he had just immigrated back with me and our baby. A friend told us that we should check out PG Dental (w/Dr. Drahos) as they were awesome and very affordable-so he helped my husband sort out his toothache and then we found that we were a $99 'credit adjustment' which cleared out most of the cost of the bill for us! These guys didn't even know us!! :) Then when I called back to say we weren't coming back in the receptionist was SO kind and asked how my husband was doing and said the Dr. was interested in if things were going better, etc. No pressure-just kindness and an VERY affordable (great) care. He is a life saver! My brother had a cracked tooth that was bothering him for the longest time and since he didn't have insurance it was hard to find somewhere that was affordable for him. Dr. Lee Drahos is the Best Dentist EVER! They rarely take new clients but as a regular they make me feel like a VIP customer every time. They will squeeze me in for an emergency and Dr. Drahos is super nice, lightning fast and amazingly skilled. I don't know how they can charge as low as they do but I love it. The Drahos family have been our family dentists for decades. I visited Lee's father when I was a kid and have been continuing to see his son, Lee, ever since he left the practice. Even when I lived in Tennessee for five years, I would schedule my dental appointments with Lee at times when I was back in Chicagoland visitng family. I now have my own kids, and I bring them to see Lee as well. I have no complaints and only high praise for the man and his practice. I live in Garfield Ridge and believe in supporting local businesses. I was searching for a new dentist through my Dental provider network and reached out to Dr. Drahos office since this office was listed as accepting new patients. I called to make an appointment and was immediately cut off and told that the Dr. is not taking new patients.Very ironic, since reviews show patients having no trouble getting new appointments. My suggestion is if you do not want to be listed as a provider within the Delta Dental network please reach out to them and ask to be removed. read more

I was seeing Dr. Peter Drahos for my dental work and he and I discussed that when I had some money to come in and we will do some work. My final bill would be one thousand dollars, and to just pay when I could. When I reached my goal he would deliver the final denture. Well I became sick and lost my job and was unable to go to the dentist for awhile. When I called to make an appointment Dr. Lee Drahos said "if I were to come to his practice I would NOT RECEIVE QUALITY CARE" and I was no longer welcome there. He continued to scream at me over the phone, and when I asked for a referral, he laughed. My balance at that office is zero dollars and zero cents. I will admit I was late a couple times and the receptionist turned me away, putting me down as a no call no show. I'm in terrible pain and my tooth is infected, I needed help. This is the worst I've ever been treated. Dr. Peter Drahos was always so kind and gentle, but he was wrong to tell me I was always welcome there. Wow Emma, hard to believe your review. I'm not saying you're lying, but my whole family has been going to the Drahos group for many, many years and have never had an experience like you describe. Some of us use Lee..esp the children..since he is the gentler of the two and others us Emily. We all love them. I have to say that in all the years my husband and I have been going to the Drahos, we have never had the drs themselves do a cleaning, always a dental tech. I have had teeth filled and pulled by Emily and had Lee take me as an emergency, my husband goes to Lee all the time. NEVER had a problem. Sorry you had this experience you had but my question is ..why didn't you complain?? I am sure the Drahos would have made your experience better if only they were aware you were unhappy! read more

I used to go to Dr. Drahos years ago when he was on Archer near Kedzie. I asked him if he could replace my silver fillings with white ones and how much it would cost. Keep in mind I have a lot of fillings. He said it would be 10.00 a filling (to replace the silver with the white). So over a short period of time, I had him replace all of my silver fillings with white ones. Little did I know that what he put in my mouth (white fillings) was junk. Under every one of my white fillings (that he put in) had tons of decay under it. I have never had that happen to a silver filling before but it happened to every single filling that he replaced. I would never recommend him to anyone ever, not even my worst enemy (well, maybe). Needless to say, I then needed more work done on my teeth because my teeth were decayed under the filling.
