My husband and I needed a new dentist after going to the same dentist for a gazillion years. I had heard a lot of good things about Creative Dental so I made an appointment. During this time, I had broke 2 teeth on my bottom partial and aspirated them - not good. So I needed a dentist appointment as well. My husband came out of his appointment in shock. Dr Gardiner is not just a good dentist- he is a GREAT dentist. My husband said he has not had this comprehensive an exam in FOREVER. On to my appointment- Dr Gardiner is not charging me for his time - I'm just being charged the lab fees for my partial!!!! What dentist does that?!?!?! I have been seeing Patty (the hygienist) and Dr. Gardner since they were at Advancements in Dental and knew their high standard would certainly carry over to their new location named Creative Dental. Creative Dental is all new. The decor and furniture is all new. It is clear that they took time to think of a decorating theme and then to carry it out in a streamlined manner. They also made the design make sense for dentistry. The rooms still have televisions and high tech gadgets, but the layout makes great sense. For example, the X-ray machine is tucked in a cabinet that can be accessed from either side of the wall. That way, they can take X-rays with the same machine in either room and hide it from sight when it's not needed. Everyone who works at Creative Dental is very friendly and kind. Even when I've freaked out about a filling, they patiently took my calls and checked my mouth as many times as it took to calm my anxiety. Creative Dental still isn't in the network for any insurance company which can make billing a bit awkward. I have Delta Dental and I have to pay Creative Dental up front and then wait to get the insurance check in the mail. Creative Dental takes care of the insurance claim for me. read more

Once a upon a time I had the dentist from the musical version of the "Little Shop of Horrors" You remember when Steve Martin played the sadistic dentist who took shots of his laughing gas... Yeah that was my dentist nearly twenty years ago... Now I know some of you are horrified at the thought that I haven't been to the dentist in nearly twenty years. Perish the thought. I did visit a nice dentist back in Batavia, but my mindset is: I brush, I floss, (on occasion) and we all gotta go one day... But then I took the son in for his dental visit... and they were such nice folks... I should have just sat in the car and waited, but they got me to talking and the horrible story came out and they said poor thing, poor thing... They convinced me that they should just have a look to see what might be going on and that they would hold my hand... and maybe a cleaning the next time... Okay... They were great. The x-rays were painless and my cleaning is next month. The folks at Creative Dental have seen it all and heard it all and they are as gracious as they are gentle... And Seth's, Yvonne's, (two of the six kiddies), and the hubby's teeth are so white. read more

My family loves this dental office! We have been seeing Dr. Garner (and staff) for A LONG TIME in their previous location. When he moved offices, we went right along with him. My 3-year-old went for his first visit this summer. After we left the office, he asked when he was going to see Dr. Garner again because (in my son's words) "he's real nice"and "he likes taking care of my teeth". The entire office staff really made my son comfortable while doing an extensive cleaning. What a great first dental experience for my son. Dr. Garner is a patient, caring individual and everyone that works in the office is just the same. We are treated as family. The staff at Creative Dental are kind and caring and they really know their stuff. They are up on the latest technology as well as consumer products, even toothpaste and what is the most healthy to use. And when you have an issue with something - like I hate that suction water pick - they will work old school to make you more comfortable and still get the job done beautifully. Dr. Gerald P. Gardner DDS is the dentist of this establishment. I went there today for a clean and check. Everything went as expected, a little discomfort, but tolerable. The hygienist is very caring, and so is Dr. Gardner. I cannot say I enjoy going to the dentist, but I know the value of a caring professional if I want to keep my teeth for my entire life. This time Dr. Gardner did find a little problem that will require returning to his office in about 2 weeks. This dentist is by far the best. I absolutely love going here. I got my invisalign through them and referred my mom for an extraction. They have been accommodating with my schedule and any time I have a question, they are there to help. I couldn't stress how friendly they are. The ladies up front are always smiling and happy to see everybody. The Dr. is the nicest and most down to earth guy I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's up front and honest with what you need done and what can wait. His assistant Jackie is also very pleasant. She really takes the time to make you comfortable and helps you with whatever you need. What a great experience with Dr. Gardner and the whole team at Creative Dental! Everyone is very friendly, knowledgable, and professional. The cleaning and examination was very thorough and comfortable. The hygienist and Dr. Gardner were very informative and educated me on some new dental care tips and info that I never knew about. They gave recommendations for dental care products that would be good for my teeth specifically. They even offered for me to bring my retainer in for a cleaning. I am sorry to say I cannot recommend this office. They did not notify me when my check up and cleaning were to take place. So I called and made an appointment. Then due to conflicting medical treatment I had to cancel. When I tried to make a new appointment they told me it would be months away. So I waited and went in and following instructions, such as call when outside I did. Upon arrival they took temp, blood pressure and oxagen level. Then a woman walked in and did not do the same to her. I stared to ask questions, and the receptionist was on a personal call, and the other assist. left. The hygienist stood there while I asked why I waiting 1/2 hour. The rest went downhill from there. The hygienist, was cold, painful scrapping my front tooth which a crown and the after, it fell out with bleeding gums. I did not get a complete exam, and asked for a refund. Answered NO. I would not go there again. I am glad I am moving. They and Dr. Gardener need to go to patient communications school I would look elsewhere. I am a dental assist, license in IL read more

I have the best experiences at Creative Dental. With having older type crowns, Dr. Gardner is very kind and conservative and only replaces the crowns as needed. He does not try to "up sell" services or techniques and is very honest and sincere in his approach. Creative Dental and Dr. Gardner give new meaning to painless dentistry!
