My wife and I just went in for our second cleaning. Being fairly new to the area we had to find a new dentist and after some looking we decided to try out Dr. Fields and her new practice across the street from us. Walking in you see a small waiting area and a receptionist right away. Everything is very classy and looks modern and clean. The staff is very attentive and helpful. I do find it a little funny they have a Keurig machine in the lobby since I get coffee stains on my teeth, but it's a nice touch. When you are taken back to your area (things are well divided, but it is an open room) you'll be seated in a standard dentist chair that's as comfortable as any other I've been in. Each area has its own TV and you get the remote for you or your ride to choose what to watch. One other thing I like is that each chair has an x-ray machine accessible to it. So you get your x-rays without getting up and going to a different room. On the first cleaning my wife and I had the same Dental Hygienist (I forgot her name unfortunately) and she was excellent. On this trip we had Dr. Fields and she was also excellent. I've never had the doctor do the cleaning before, but I'm not complaining! Dr. Fields is very nice and approachable. She did let me know what I was needing to improve on, and honestly could have been harsher than she was... I need to floss more. All in all, a great practice, great staff, and a great doctor. Can I just say how much I love love love this office?! I went today for my first appointment and it was a pleasant experience from beginning to end (yes, even with the deep cleaning, lol). I have been avoiding the dentist for a while now. My last few experiences have been very unpleasant. Dealing with dentists that would rather lecture than to provide care. I was not disappointed. I never thought I'd put"customer service" and "dentist office" in the same sentence. It was clean,the staff was friendly. You can tell they care about you And your mouth. I've never had my teeth cleaned so well in my life! I was showed x-rays of my mouth and problem areas were explained to me in a way I could understand. My appointment didn't take all day and I didn't feel the shots much either. The receptionist was professional and the entire office was well lit. I cant say enough positive things about Dr.Fields and her team. I started going to 28 to Brush in 2015 when I first got my braces put on. I get so many compliments on a regular basis about how good my teeth look. Dr.Fields was able to close my gap, straighten my teeth and achieve a natural look, which is exactly what I wanted. I recently had an appointment for a routine cleaning and the hygienist noticed that I had small abscess in my mouth. It turns our that this abscess was caused by a root canal that I got done prior to me becoming a patient at 28 to Brush. I'm so thankful that they found this because it could have spread to the rest of my mouth and caused other health complications. I am so thankful for all the good work that Dr.Fields and her team have been able to do for me over the past few years. I Don't really write reviews, and kind of dislike yelp for various reasons- however I am happy I have this platform to let everyone at 28 to Brush know how happy I am to have found them! Everybody there is SO NICE!! like, I leave there Happy and in a good mood because of the treatment I receive! The girls at the front desk are so sweet, professional and helpful. They have changed around appointments for me, are understanding, and overall super friendly. They remember me by name and are knowledgeable about insurance and any other questions I have had. These two ladies are awesome!!! Next, the dentists. Dr Youssef (I may be spelling that wrong-) has a super calm and gentle demeanor and has always put me at ease. For some reason when I am with him I am not scared at all. He tells you what he is doing, when your almost done, and I literally feel nothing when he gives me the numbing shot- I don't know how but I literally feel nothing! I reccomend him for your fillings for sure! I met Dr fields when my bite needed to be corrected. I had to go in a few times, and nobody seemed irritated or annoyed with me- she was very kind as well and stressed that if I ever feel any pain or discomfort to call and they would be happy to help- and she genuinely meant it! Wow!!! This office looks even better than their website pictures!! Beautiful atmosphere and BEAUTIFUL staff to compliment the interior design. It feels more like they are welcoming you into their well furnished home verses a dental office! The employees at BRUSH DENTAL are very compassionate, very personable and they go the extra mile; to make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of. I mean even the dental chair was extremely soft and the soft colors surrounding you are pleasant on the eyes. The layout was very well thought out...I would like to believe with the customer in mind, because it made me feel at ease being there. Also, their equipment is modern and up to date! Now just to add a little more detail about the service... Dr. Fields is very approachable. She explains everything thoroughly. She spends ample amount of time with you and gives you time to ask questions. We honestly need more Doctors like her! I had 2 fillings done and she made sure I was pain-free from the start of the procedure to the finish. I know I will be in competent hands, with my first major dental work, during my next appointment. (Wisdom tooth extraction-2) I will definitely update you all and let you know how it works out. Let me just say....If you are in need of or are looking for or are just considering a new dentist...LOOK NO FURTHER than Dr. Karen Fields at Brush Dental Studio. I went in today knowing I'd missed a few scheduled cleanings and anticipating the painful procedure of a deep cleaning. She explained EVERYTHING to me in detail , she went over my Xrays with me tooth by tooth, showing me exactly what she saw and telling me what was needed. She said over all I'd done a great job with my teeth given my almost 2 year lack of insurance but that I really needed a fresh start with a deep cleaning. I told her I was afraid of the numbing process...that darn needle hurts SOOOO freaking bad. She understood my concern and used only a topical numbing solution but used a very generous amount. She told me that if at any point I felt uncomfortable to let her know. She used a smaller instrument to lessen the pain and used an extra careful touch. When I tell you I felt NOTHING I mean I felt NOTHING. She would say..."Ok I'm about to go deep" And I would be like "umm uuughhh...awwwhhhh...mmnnn" Translation "that's it? I don't feel any pain. You are doing a great job" Once she was done, I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe my eyes. My teeth looked BRAND SPANKIN' NEW. I almost gave the woman a hug. In addition to ALLLLL of this, the place is spectacular...TV's in exam rooms to keep you entertained. Coffee, water, tea..... GREAT friendly and attentive staff....Clean restrooms (a huge plus for me). Just a wonderful experience all the way around. Soooooo Check her out. You won't be disappointed. read more

As a patient under Dr. Fields, visiting the dentist has never been more of a pleasure. From the clean and modern offices to the friendly attitudes of the entire staff, I personally have never had a better Doctor. In fact, I drive from the North side of Chicago all the way to the Roosevelt location when Its time for my bi-annual check-up. There are probably 5,000 dental offices closer to me but I refuse to sacrifice for the great service and attentive professionalism I receive each time I visit. I have always been terrified of the dentist. Dr. Fields is the best! She always listens to my concerns, including cost of treatment. She never rushes any procedures and is very gentle. I love her so much that I followed her from her last clinic. I would recommend Dr. Fields to anyone. What a waste of time. I called sometime in late May and inquired about them being in my insurance network. Turns out they were not, but the insurance I was about to sign up for was in their network.The girl who answered the phone was very friendly, she suggested to either schedule my appointment a month out or to wait until I was comfortable that my coverage was in place. WOW! Very nice, no pressure. It was going to take about 30+ days to get signed up, so I decided to call back and schedule when I had my insurance card. I called to schedule an appointment and the woman who answered (someone else) sounded miserable. She seemed more interested in what they could get out of my insurance rather than just setting up a cleaning and exam as I requested. After seeing the other reviews here, I'm glad I decided not to go to this place. I work and live downtown and wanted to avoid a high priced dentist. I am from Forest Park and figured I would find a reasonable place with fair treatment. I guess I have to keep looking, because this office certainly isn't it. read more

This dental office is amazing to say the least! Anytime my husband insists I go check out a place, I know it has to be special. The location is perfect, its next to plenty of stores so there is always parking. The office itself is beautiful and welcoming. If you have small children there is even a small play area for them and they can actually write on the chalk board covered walls ! This is the first time I've seen a dental office with a coffee maker not to mention its a K-cup brewing station so there are plenty of options. Now, let me get to the staff...very attentive! Makes you feel like you are recieveing spa services. Definitly gets rid of that old drab feeling you get when its time for a dental visit.
