Each staff member is kind, welcoming, supportive, and very good at their job!! I have TMJ + anxiety issues so dental work can be stressful and tricky for me, but this team was amazing! They talked me through each step, gave me breaks, we're so gentle. I'm so glad I switched. I loved my old dentist office, but I could never get an appointment, and cleanings were fully booked out over 6 months. I scored an appointment here just two weeks ahead, and then all my treatment visits were super easy to schedule. Super and quiet clean clinic. I've been going here since 2014, along with my husband. However, the new dentist, Dr Bici, gave me one of the worst medical experiences of my life. While doing a filling, she dug through my molar, destroying most of the surface. This was to 'open up and see what's inside'. The drill touched my tooth's nerve, and I started crying hysterically. Instead of calming her patient down, Dr Bici yelled that she can't work like this, gave me a temporary filling, and lectured me on how things used to be so much worse and I should stop crying. She then marched me out with a partially exposed root, told me to find another dentist who 'can handle your extreme anxiety', and then kicked me sobbing in pain out of her office. As an individual with MDD, I do not find this cavalier comments about anxiety helpful or constructive. It was hurtful, demeaning, and patronizing. And now, after years of seeing Dr Villari, I and my family no longer have a dentist. read more

Courtney is the best! I have a mouth full of crowns and veneers which I have had for twenty years. I don't hate dentists because of pain or being scared. This dentist did a great job of making sure I never felt pain. The reason I hate dentists is because every time I go I feel like I'm dealing with a used car salesman. There is always something wrong with a tooth, or there is always "one more thing" to deal with on a treatment plan. This place is no exception. My first visit they commented on how few of things there were to do in my mouth. I had a few cavities, and needed a crown on 1 tooth. Well, I of course wanted to schedule to have all of it done, so I got it all done. Before it was all finished I needed a few more things done. The list kept growing and growing. Well they told me I needed something called a "buildup" on one of my teeth to prepare it for a crown. They told me the price after insurance, and I agreed. They did the procedure. 3 months later I get a bill in the mail. It turns out my insurance denied the procedure. The dentist now called and said I'm on the hook for $280. I agree with the other Yelpers. The dentist is good, but the billing and administration is terrible. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Villari's since her previous office, and with her new office I figured I should write a review so other people can know how great she is and how nice the new office is as well. Located on Madison St. across from Molly Malone's, the new office is painted in earthy, welcoming colors. The reception area has an area for kids to play. The room where my teeth were cleaned looked like it could be a dining room in a nice home, save for the dentist chair in the middle. A large flat screen TV adorns the wall, and the light in here wasn't the typical bright fluorescent variety often found in dental offices. This is all nice, because it reflects the personality of the dentist I went to visit, Dr. Courtney Villari. She's a kind, helpful person who is very good about being thorough, patient, and communicating any issues. I've been to a few other dentists, and this is easily the best experience (and least painful) of all of them. If you're new to town or looking to switch dentists, I highly recommend giving Ovation Dental a chance. read more

I had a great experience at Ovation dental during my recent visit with Dr. Bici. She takes the time to sit down with you and listen to your concerns. As somebody who hadn't seen the dentist in many years and has anxiety, she was wonderful at calming me down and making me feel at ease. She used some amazing breathing techniques and even put spa music for me. Her staff is equally wonderful, they worked with me in breaking down my treatment in phases and working with me on the finances. My daughter and I have been here a couple of times and we both have been very happy with the visits. Dr. Villari is great with children & pre-teens. My daughter, like most children, absolutely hates going to see the dentist. She's had some pretty upsetting visits so her fear is understandable. The staff at Ovation made her feel at home immediately, and helped her to calm down. Parents aren't allowed with the children during their treatment, which I don't mind. I think it helps the kids so they won't see parents being anxious and kick up their own anxiety level. There is a huge plasma screen tv up on the ceiling for the kids to look at (my daughter was watching "Spongebob Squarepants") while they are being treated. Once their x-rays have been done and they have been treated, a member of the staff will bring you back to your child's treatment room to speak to Dr. Villari. Dr. Villari is very knowledgeable and wants to make sure you understand what has been done and what may need to be done in the future. She also makes sure your child is aware of what may need to be done in the future, and how to keep their teeth healthy. I had previously been told that my daughter needed braces ASAP (by another dentist), and her father and I were about to shell out a ton of money for them. I decided to get a second opinion, and boy am I glad I did! Dr. Villari informed me that it would make no sense to get my daughter braces now, as she still had about 14 more baby teeth to lose. I was shocked that the other dentist was going to basically rob us, knowing that we would wind up having to get braces, and then have the braces removed and placed on again for my daughter as a result of losing all of those baby teeth. Dr. Villari showed serious concern about my daughter's dental health, and for that I will remain forever grateful. Because of this, I too became a patient of Dr. Villari's. Upon leaving, my daughter was given a goodie bag, and a staff member played a "spin the wheel and win a prize" game and my daughter won a cute prize. All of Dr. Villari's staff (dental assistants and front desk staff members) are very pleasant people. Even though I have a lot of dental work that needs to be done and I am not looking forward to it, I do look forward to having Dr. Villari do it as I know that she will take great care of my teeth. There is a small parking lot in the back; at the moment, there is a lot of construction on Madison Street. Other than the parking lot, you can park on the side street (Ashland); when the construction is complete, there is also plenty of street parking on Madison. read more

They check in with your throughout the procedure to make sure you're doing OK. Lisa is also amazing at verifying all insurance information prior to the procedure to estimate the costs ahead of time. The office is very welcoming and relaxing. It's how I would want my own house designed! The entire team is very welcoming, personable and clearly knowledgeable. I was left on hold for 7 minutes while waiting to see what the price of a root canal and removal of wisdom teeth would be. They also try and sell their own insurance and don't want to accept yours. My cousin who lives nearby and was willing to take me here, recommended this place for its great reviews.
