Could I give zero stars? Because I would. I was scheduled for an appointment on 7/14 at 10am - at 9:55am I was called and ask if could start at 11 instead because the Dr. had gone over with a patient. I was not available at that time - so I declined and she asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said no, just cancel. The receptionist/scheduler said okay. I booked through ZocDoc and the next day received an email stating that I didn't show for my appointment and that I would be suspended from the platform because of this. I called Dental Works to let them know this, and I got the most deadpan response that the appointment was still on the cal for yesterday (so....) and that they cant contact the third part to tell them otherwise....when asked if she could take me out of the system; she stated that she couldn't.....she didn't care, at all - zero customer service. The new staff along with the new billing system telling everyone they now have a balance is absurd! All the reviews for this place is just bad. There is no hope of getting through to speak to anyone. They tell you that you need a "deep cleaning" and you agree, cause why not, but insurance doesn't cover that, they only cover standard cleaning so you're stuck with a $500 bill after insurance, they try to strong arm you into things you don't need and are rude and judgmental. I've been a patient of this practice for many years. Lately, patient experience has drastically declined due to high turnover. In the last year and a half, I've not seen the same doctor at all during the last four visits. On my last visit, the doctor complained of being busy but kept leaving to get Starbucks from the corner, while I sat in the waiting area 30 minutes past my appointment time. Called today with a question and the new person that answered the phone hadn't a clue. I have been calling repeatedly over the past 2 weeks and can only get the scheduling center who insist on scheduling an appointment for me even though I already have my next appointment on the books, and I never leave my current appointment without scheduling the next one. Scheduling center tells me the office is closed even though the hours are clearly posted on the website and no one can give me a status update on retainers that were ordered a month ago! The few remaining legacy staff are true treasures. Truly wish I could give this location a zero rating due to poor customer service. Edit: My husband drove to the location and it's closed up tight as a drum. Tried calling another location and can only get the useless scheduling team, who claims not to have a number to reach the corporate office. read more

I went to this dentist for a few years and went every 6 months for examinations and cleanings. Everytime I went they said my teeth were fine. when I told them about pain in one tooth the doctor just said I was having sensitivity and they saw nothing wrong. Turns out, during all of those years I was going, they only took one X-ray, which was years old. They finally took a X-ray, which found a deep cavity in one tooth. I went to another dentist and was told I had really deep cavities in two teeth and had to get a root canal in one tooth which costs me about $1,400. Service is the worst, I question now whether this is a legitimate business. Never answers calls and closed at random times and days. read more

They are billing me for services in 2023 and I don't owe them anything. And you can't get it resolved. Friendly and kind staff and caregivers. While having an intense procedure done, the dental assistant held my hand. It was comforting.

I had a confirmed appointment today. I arrived and was informed by 2 office staff that I had canceled it. However after looking into it they realized they got the appointments mixed up and pushed my appointment today back by a half hour I was unable to do that due to my schedule so I ended up rescheduling. At no time did I hear we apologize for the error or we need to push the appointment back a half hour, will that work or reschedule? instead just have a seat and they just changed the time with no conversation about it with me. poor customer service from some of the front desk office staff. read more

Terrible office. They changed my appointment time the day before. When my daughter went they charged her for services that were clearly 100% covered by insurance. They tried to get her to sign up for the most expensive treatment plan that wasn't covered by insurance. I had to call consistently for 30 minutes to get them to answer the phone. The receptionist had a nasty attitude. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemies. read more

I just want to join the many other reviewers - very bad organization. I went to my appointment in February only to find it was closed! They had closed early and had not informed me! I called and made another appointment for the next month. I got 5 messages reminding me and asking for confirmation that I was coming and then the day before the appointment they called to ask me to come in earlier because they were closing early! I will now have to make a third appointment and they will not have someone available for another month I am sure. These appointments are for a cleaning with a hygienist not the dentist, just to be clear on that - I don't know if it is the hygienist who just decides she wants to leave early or what is going on. Would love to speak to a manager about this - it is terrible! read more

I went 2 years ago for the promotional cleaning. Everyone was nice and helpful. 1 star for the male hygenist (otherwise itd be 0)! BUT they said i had 3 cavities. I did not fill them, they really tried to pressure me, said one was really bad. I went to another dentist today which also saw 3 cavities but said they were very tiny. I mentioned what the dentalworks dentist had said. This dentist mentioned that some practices will drill and fill small cavities if they are low on patients. Turns out there is such a thing as remineralization and our teeth can repair themselves if the cavity is only in the outer layer. Glad i didnt shell out $750 to these ppl. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! First, wish I could give a review of their dentistry, but never got the chance to experience it! This review is a bit long, but I went thru a lot with them (I condensed it as much as I could). I made my initial appointment through their online scheduler. I received a call back a couple of days later and made an appointment for 2/10. X-rays were taken and the dentist appeared to be a decent human being and a competent dentist. She needed info from my periodontist and his office told me that my insurance required a referral to see him. So, after leaving several messages with the DentalWorks, finally received a call on 2/15, and was told that the referral and X-rays would be sent immediately, and I would receive a confirming email within the hour. NOTHING. I called Dental Works 3 days in a row, leaving detailed messages, with no response. I emailed them on 2/18 (and finding their email address is not easy), but still nothing. Finally, on 2/23, I took the time, effort, and cost to send a certified letter. On 2/25, the office manager called, apologized, and said that maybe (all 3) of my messages had been forwarded to a Texas office. And she didn't understand why I needed a referral for a doctor I was already seeing. I had to inform her that since I had a new dentist, I needed a new referral, from my current dentist. I also pointed out that no one said anything about that on 2/15. She agreed and said the referral would go out that day and I would receive an email. Later that day, she left me a VM saying I would get my email within the next few minutes. NOPE! I still needed an appointment for a cleaning and as I had bitten my tongue badly, the dentist wanted to follow up to make sure that I didn't need surgery, so I called again on 3/16. Naturally, the call was answered by VM, the seventh time of the 8 calls I placed to their office over 2 months. I left a message, including name, number, and reason for calling. NADA!. I even left a plea to redirect the message to the Forest Park office should it go astray. Next, I thought maybe they don't listen to messages during the day, but surely must check them each morning - so I called and left messages early on 3/19 and 3/21. DIDN'T WORK!. So I sent ANOTHER certified letter on 3/24, recapping everything and advising them that I would be sharing my troubles with the internet community. On 3/29, the office manager wrote me an email to apologize and to say they had sent the information to the specialist, but had my email address wrong (even thought I spelled it out for them, letter by letter). She said my calls hadn't been returned because they were short-handed due to illness. In my email response, I pointed out that 7 unanswered and unreturned calls over 2 months was an abysmal standard for customer service, especially for a dental office! I said that I would give them one last chance (the staff seemed friendly and otherwise professional, and I liked the dentist). So, I called one more time (and left a VM, of course), but this time, I received a return call. The caller said that they had not received the info from my periodontist, so I gave her his contact information (again!) and she said that she would contact him and call me back - and guess what...THEY NEVER CALLED ME AGAIN!! It's been over a month as of the time I'm posting this - and here's the topper: I got a call for help from my periodontist's office - they're having the same problem - they've left message after message and no one has called them back! I told them to forget it - don't waste any more time on it. Enough is enough... So, my advice to you is this: If you want a dental office that cares about you and is responsive to your customer service needs - THIS ISN'T THE PLACE!! Save yourself the pain. Honestly, I don't know how they have clients when you can never make an appointment. I don't know what's going on over there, but they're clearly not interested in attracting and retaining new clients. read more

I have a long and brutal history with dentistry. Some in part because of early poverty, some from bad dentists, and some from my own doing. I don't like going to the dentist. I haven't been since March 2020 (was a different practice in Chicago) and that was a disaster. I was a former patient of DentalWorks I'm Forest Park and thought to give it a try again. So glad I did. I put on my form that dentist appointments make me nervous. From the moment Josh met me at the door until I paid my co-pays, I was treated very nicely. Everything was explained careful, and not at all rushed. I felt safe at all times. Josh was so great at making sure I was comfortable and knew what was happening. The dentist, Dr. Mensa, was fantastic. Her exam was quick and she answered all of my questions thoughtfully. I have made my 2nd appointment and hope the treatment remains. read more

Got the referral I needed in a pinch, but Dr. Saadoon was condescending when I was explaining what I experiencing and the steps I had already taken to getting my dental emergency taken care of. The office was also dirty and clearly hadn't been swept in awhile. I know my insurance isn't great, but I was disappointed in the quality of this practice. I had listen them on my HMO got in for one appointment that I waited over an hour for for them to tell me I needed to come back to finish the initial exam for recommendations. I did X-rays abs was there 3 hours. I hounded them for answers and finally talked to someone that said she was trying to put together but was having an issue with the insurance so she couldn't give me pricing. They always had an excuse. I followed up over 10 times leaving messages with no call backs. This went on for months and I finally gave up. BEWARE. do not waste your time. #1 you can never get a hold of a live person. I was only able to speak to someone one time and thats because i called non-stop for 7 minutes straight until someone answered. When i went to my appointment I witnessed it with my eyes. All 4 staff members chatting away while all the phones rang constantly. Also when u arrive they dont clean ur teeth...they "assess" ur teeth to see what u need so if they think u need a deep cleaning right then and there thats what they ll do to u despite u coming in for a normal cleaning. Tbh this place is just looking for ways to make money off of you. I went in for a Normal cleaning and got billed $350 after insurance which has never happened to me before and i ve had like 60 cleanings in my lifetime. They also literally just called me 48 hrs before my cleaning to tell me they dont have a hygienist available and they dont have any openings available until September! Its june 8th today. So basically in 1 yr I will receive 1 cleaning from these losers. I ll be getting a new dentist asap. read more

One lady put me on hold for 15 minutes and then came back and hung up the phone. I called back and to no surprise no one answered. Switched to DentalWorks because my insurance had not been covering my previous dentist enough and their hours are really convenient. Went in for a check up and cleaning. The office is clean and updated. My cleaning went well, my hygienist was through and kept the awkward silence to a minimum with relevant conversation. Went to Dental Works I needed a filling.I thought it was bad. Well I met Dr Mensah she was INCREDIBLE. They took an xray and then Dr. Said well ita deep but we can possibly save the tooth. Long story short, I came to Dental Works in Forest Park as a new patient for a cleaning and had the worst dental experience ever. Where do I begin. First, as a new patient you have to do x-rays. The sensor they put in my mouth was beyond large and almost impossible to keep in there. After the top of my mouth got stabbed from the sensor and I complained, they brought in a smaller one. Why not use that in the first place? Couple that with more than a few malfunctions and the x-rays took 30 minutes longer than they should have. After being moved now to a cleaning room, facing the bright sun by the way, the cleaning procedure began. The dental hygienist moved around from one side of my mouth to another and didn't seem to have any real order or method to what he was doing. I've never left a dental cleaning feeling like nothing happened in my mouth. Brushing my teeth in the morning felt more thorough. The hygienist was clearly new at this and felt skittish as he worked in my mouth, reciting things to me he probably heard in dental school in order to make me feel more comfortable...which it didn't. My only positive is that they were extremely nice and polite. Other than that, I will never go back and would hope that my review saves just one person from an extremely painful and amateur experience. read more

I chose Dental Works of Forest Park specifically because they take Saturday appointments and my schedule during the week is very busy so this worked out great. Come to find out they barely have two hygienists and so every Saturday I was able to get an appointment time scheduled, I felt lucky...except the last several times I have scheduled for a cleaning on a Saturday, the hygienist always seems to have an "emergency" and cancels on me. It is very frustrating because then I have to push back my cleaning by 3-4 months as their Saturdays are always booked up and they are unable to move me into a time slot any earlier. Beyond the scheduling headache, I have had the dentist drop tools in my mouth during cleanings/fillings etc. I've never had anyone check the hygienists work after my cleaning, barely any communication with the dentist himself and the office seems to think it's my job to contact my insurance company to get them to pay for things faster (as if I have any control over the timing)?! The last two appointments I have had for a cleaning, I've seen the same hygienist who repeatedly told me how tired and overworked he is and how badly he wants to go home or go on vacation. How is this supposed to make me feel? I think it is totally unprofessional. I wish my experiences with Dental Works of Forest Park had been better, but I leave feeling the same way every single time...as if things are disorganized and dysfunctional. read more

I started my invisalign treatment, but now they won't even contact me back after several attempts via phone and email to get my next appointment. They are holding up my process, yet they got my money. Just no communication at all.
