Recently had a procedure done and was told only after I was sitting in the chair for the appt, about to be numbed (NOT during the 6 separate email and text alerts about my upcoming appt) that they don't have a 3D Xray machine, so the x-rays they took initially that determined there was a problem might not show how extensive or deep my problem is and therefore this procedure may not work. In the chair, about to be numbed. Not the time to spring this on someone. You inform someone before the appointment so they can go get a 3D x-ray somewhere else and make an informed decision. When I questioned her judgment and indicated that I would wait until my next set of x-rays in 6-months to make any decisions, she stormed out saying that she didn't appreciate my attitude. Here is what I don't appreciate: 1. Made to wait 15 minutes for an appointment...which happened today. 2. Not being informed before my appointment with her (even though I received multiple digital reminders of the appointment) that my highly qualified dentist, whose judgement I trust, was no longer seeing patients...which happened today. 3. Having MY judgement about MY dental care being questioned by an inexperienced "professional" who seemed more interested in how many additional services she could sell me on rather than respecting what I believe is best for MY dental care...which happened today. 4. Having a "professional" act like a petulant child...which happened today. I guess it's time for me to find a new dentist, hopefully I will have a better experience than I had today.
