This is the first time I've ever completely changed the color of my hair and it was such a great experience at Studio Be. I've been going to Nikee for awhile to get my hair cut but I finally took the leap to color it and love it! Nikee is super nice and listens to everything that you want. She is very good a translating what you want into what it will realistically work out. My hair is a medium brown and I was going for a caramel color, however, it turned out a little lighter but I didn't even care because Nikee did such a good job with the blonde tones! Eventually I plan on going lighter and lighter but this is a good first step for full blown blonde. Nikee was also very honest about the process of going from medium brown to blonde and was very careful not to go too light too soon so my hair didn't completely fall out of my head. She definitely knows what she's doing. Nikee is also super sweet and actually cares about your hair experience. I've had some awful experiences before where it seems like the hair dresser just doesn't care about you to the point where they just pull your hair out while they're combing it. This is the exact opposite form Nikee! She is careful with the hair lightening process, the hair-doing process, and can really understand where you're coming from even if you don't know yourself. Another thing I love about Studio Be is that they are not outrageously expensive. They can be pricey sometimes but you're definitely getting what you paid for. I want to start by saying the stylist was really nice and seemed like she knew what she was doing. HOWEVER, I went in today at 10:30am for a cut and color- my first time in. I booked online for a total of $180- pictures of what I booked online below. The stylist went through some things and came back to me to tell me that they have a "color charge" for people as well as a shine charge otherwise my hair will look dull- totaling an extra $70 or so. I said that I booked online and that it didn't say anything about a color charge and walked them through the process. She pointed to some fine print on a webpage I hadn't even gone to. Instead of comping the charge or giving me that amount off for my next visit or anything, the manager just stupidly kept debating me and point to their website, which was clearly not what I had gone through and not at their payment page. I said then that I would be leaving and she told me I would pay the charge no matter what. I said no problem I will be arguing that with American Express and left. It's not the money. It's that they were so un-transparent and so unaccommodating with my concern which was clearly valid. If you want to charge a color fee- fine, include the highest possible color fee in the charge on the front end and give people their money back. That seems appropriate. For anyone at corporate reading this, I'm telling every single person I can find how annoying this experience was. Please fix your policy. read more

I've been going to Studio Be for a couple years now and have been consistently going to Giana! I'm SO happy I found her! Aside from the amazing experience Studio Be consistently provides as a whole, I love Giana because she now feels not only like a stylist, but also a friend. Giana's the only one I trust to do my cuts and colors! I'm very picky and particular about my hair, but I trust Giana when it comes to taking any risks! She takes her time to really understand what you're looking for, and always chooses the perfect blends that look so beautiful and natural. I went from blonde to brunette last year and she did a phenomenal job! I also cut my hair from a pretty long length into a short bob and I loved it! Everything I ask her to do, she completely nails it. Aside from Giana, Studio Be's service as a whole is always so great! All the ladies who work there are so welcoming and kind! I also hardly ever make it out without buying a product. I've become a loyal Paul Mitchell consumer! lol All in all, I could not recommend this salon more! I am writing this review for my amazing, hands down the best hair stylist I have ever had over the years! Caitlyn W hashelped me over the last year, over several appointments to get back to the hair and style that I love. She has taken such great care of me every time I walk in to Studio Be in boulder is like a breathe of fresh air! The second I walk into the salon I'm greeted an offered a drink anywhere from hot drinks to sodas to Starbucks cold drinks. They give you a "menu" which is a menu for your hair. You pick from several special treatments. Some of my go-to's include 10 minutes in heaven (scalp massage), eye brow wax, keratin hair treatment. The first time I met Caitlyn she helped me go from a bad hair color change back to my blonde roots! She has done an amazing and precise job. It took several months but I have never ever been disappointed when I leave the salon! She always has be best interests in mind! Even cutting my hair after the hair highlights, she has done an amazing job styling my short Aline bob. This is the 4th salon I have been to since moving to Boulder and I was starting to become discouraged. I scheduled a consultation with Shayna and went through the options I had in mind for cut and color. Right away, she was honest about how long it would take to get me to the colors I wanted and how much maintenance each would be (an unfortunate rarity in a stylist). She gave me a keratin treatment and a great chin length bob that I can wear with little to no styling on the first visit. Soon after, she took me from a medium/dark ash brown to a BEAUTIFUL bright multidimensional copper/red in one visit without causing a bunch of damage to my hair! (My hair is notoriously stubborn in holding onto old color.) Not to mention, she has a great attitude and style so on top of her skill, I like her personally. I cannot recommend her enough. Living proof that a "level 2" stylist can do better than the top stylists with more professional training at other salons. Seriously. She should be paid more. Listen up ladies, if you're seeking someone in Boulder who is capable of giving you a dynamite pixie cut, I cannot recommend Nicole (Nikki) highly enough! I went here for the first time today, was looking for a substantial chop as my hair was longer than shoulder length when I walked in and she did FANTASTIC. She really listened to what I was looking for and continued requesting feedback along the way, very much intent on making sure I was satisfied with my cut. On top of that, she's just generally super cool and fun to chat with as well. I know from previous experience living many different places that finding someone who you can trust to give you a great, stylish short hair cut without making you look like a man or a granny is super hard to come by. Great location, clearly popular but not packed. Super convenient online scheduling system. Again, cannot recommend this place highly enough. I was nervous to do a big change with my hair and I had been looking for a place to do it for a while, and I am so glad I chose Studio Be. Setting up an appointment online was really simple, and I immediately felt welcomed when I showed up. When I sat down with Kortney, she was so excited about my ideas for my hair and I felt very comfortable with her. I had over twelve inches cut off, and I talked with Kortney and decided to do a moisture-locking treatment mini-upgrade as well. When I left, my hair felt healthy and looked amazing! I also received a complementary scalp massage and my experience overall felt very spa-esque. This place is awesome! I first came to Studio Be about 7 months ago, after not doing much of anything to my hair in a year. Since then, the health of my hair has increased infinitely, and I can't say that I have ever left an appointment feeling like I didn't get what I asked for. I have been seeing Meradith H. for the past few appointments I've had, and she has done an absolute amazing job of getting my hair to the exact point I want it. Sacrificing health to go lighter each time is always a consideration for blondes, but Meradith has done a great job of recommending products that work well for my hair, and it has never been healthier. I look forward to the experience and results every time I go. I am lucky to have a salon of this quality so close to where I live, and I would definitely recommend Studio Be and any of the stylists I have had since going there, to anyone! read more

I've been coming to the Boulder location for almost a year now. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the products that are used and the services provided. Micah V. has been my hair stylist guru, giving me tips and advice when I come in (without trying to push products on me), is attentive to the ideas I give her, and keeps my hair healthy and beautiful! I am also impressed with the pricing at Studio Be Salon. I have a lot of hair, in the past I've had to deal with extra (and sometimes last minute) fees from hair stylists. I love to occasionally treat myself at the hair salon (usually full highlights and a cut), now I can do so affordably! I'm also so much more inclined to try the suggested products b/c I have a little extra to spend. I've recommended this place to a lot of friends, and their referral program is a great incentive! This is an awesome salon whether you are a man or woman. Need to get a haircut? They can out perform every salon in Colorado. Need a new hair color? No problem. My eyebrows are look bad? Or possibly need the upper lip waxed? Check. They do it all! Don't know what stylist to choose? They are all very talented and do a great job but I always go to Linnea! I've been seeing her for years now and she has always done an awesome job! Whether it is a cut, color or an eyebrow wax, that is the person I always go to. I have never left disappointed, she always gets it right the first time. She is the most talented hair stylist I have ever seen. Linnea is also very friendly, personable and easy to talk to. I see Gianna at the Boulder Salon. She cuts everyone in my family's hair. We love her so much. She hears what we want, isn't afraid to ask questions, and takes feedback like a champ. I have NEVER been disappointed our haircuts. And my color is always fantastic. She is always willing to work with me to see what the best combination of treatments is in order to make my color last even longer. Not only is she extremely talented and knowledgeable about the services she provides, she is also extremely personable. She always asks about my family and friends and makes a point to connect with me on a personal level. Can't say enough praise for her. The salon is always clean and the woman at the front desk is so accommodating and friendly. While it can be a little expensive, it is totally worth the cost. Been going to her for a few months now and my hair always turns out beautiful & glossy! Only thing that could improve is if they open up a Studio Be in Longmont. And good news I hear they are maybe opening one in the new South Main Station area. Crossing my fingers!! Multiple people in Longmont have asked me where I get my hair done but when I say it's in Boulder they lose interest. I think they'll get a lot of business if they open one here. If you want to book an appt I recommend giving them a call. You can book an appt on their website but it is difficult to navigate. Just a few days ago, I was ready to get a haircut again and the research began. I found Studio Be Salon, and my first impression of their website was amazing. It was easy to navigate. The staff bios are informant, and you can select them based on their level of experience as well as values. I booked an appointment in less than 5 minutes. The studio was easy to locate even though I had never visited it before. The studio's precautions during this time are also meticulous. The appointment cost me $55 and with that I got an amazing wash, haircut, and massage! Definitely worth a visit, and now I'm proud to say I've found my forever salon! I had hopped around to multiple stylists for years. After being dissatisfied with my latest person, I stumbled across a FB ad for Studio Be Salon. I followed their link and was able to go through their stylists Pinterest pages showing multiple photos of their work (how cool is that?!?!) I loved being able to see what they could do before selecting from a list of names. I fell in love with Gianna's style and scheduled with her right away. She has not only been incredible and figuring out what I'm trying to describe with my coloring and cut, but is so sweet so work with! First thing you walk into being greeted by one of the warmest people I have ever met, Becca, she always puts a smile on your face. The salon itself is wonderful, so many extra services that you wouldn't except with such great prices. I have been going to Micah for several months now and love her. I have tried growing out my hair for years but can never get it past a certain length and end up cutting it off. Micah helped me get my hair healthy and it's longer than it's ever been and I'm in love with it. I also always love the color, she actually listens to what I'm asking for which is rare. VERY VERY VERY CLEAN. I recently went in for a Shine Top Coat at Studio Be and When I walked in, I was asked to take a temperature and put hand sanitizer on. Upon my arrival I was asked to wait outside until my stylist was ready for me. It was about a 2.5 minute wait. Everything was clean and I saw people spraying down things touched by both the stylists and the customers. Everything was really clean. stylist and staff took extra precautions to make sure to wipe down everything several times before new customers to ensure it was safe for everyone. They had very few people in the salon at a time and allowed everyone at least 6 feet apart when coloring and styling. This is a really clean and safe place if you need your hair done! read more
