Studio One Hour Cleaners has lost my business for good. I dropped off an item for tailoring with clear instructions that it was needed by Tuesday at the latest. On Tuesday, I called to confirm, and they told me they were open until 7 p.m. When I arrived at 5 p.m., the doors were already closed. I returned Wednesday, only to wait while the owner called the tailor, who admitted she had taken the pants HOME. At no point did anyone inform me ahead of time that the tailoring was incomplete. This lack of communication was unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress. Eventually, the owner had to personally drive to retrieve the item. When I finally received the pants, the tailoring was poorly done and had to be redone elsewhere. Additionally, I had a strapless top dry-cleaned, and instead of using the built-in cloth straps to hang it, they used pins, which left visible damage. I have given this business multiple opportunities despite previous mistakes, but this was the final straw. A simple pick-up turned into a three-day ordeal, and the lack of professionalism, honesty, and quality speaks for itself. I cannot recommend Studio One Hour Cleaners. I support small businesses and unfortunately, I have to leave this review. I appreciate the effort to return the pants but not informing the client of the uncomplete pants in a priority situation is drawing the line after the way it was handled. read more

I just gave this place a second chance after I was dissatisfied with my first round of cleaning. And now I'll never be back. The first time I noticed I got one wear out of my dress before it started smelling again...the clothes just didn't smell clean. The main reason I go to dry cleaners, is probably like most of us, from sweat smell under the arm pits. This is the first time I've noticed my clothes continue to smell AFTER I pick them up. I even asked him to make sure he cleaned the arm pits to which he said hastily, "oh yes, we always do!" Inside I'm thinking, apparently not. Additionally, this time I took in an item with stains. I pointed out a few stains on a white skirt, and you can see clearly in the pictures below that they were unsuccessful at getting them out. They appear exactly as before, I'm curious if this place actually cleans the clothes!! I get not being able to get a stain out, but when I picked up all the clothes, they didn't say a word about it. The owners seem cool, gave me a discount as a first time customer and I will definitely be going back. They did a good job on the cleaning and it was easy and stress-free. I brought a pair of jeans and a bridesmaid dress here for tailoring by recommendation of a friend. So glad I did. Not only did she do them both perfectly, but she's quick and the prices are great. It was $16 to tailor my jeans and she kept the original stitching at the bottom. It was $64 for my bridesmaid dress which she shortened the straps, fixed a loop on the back and shortened the bottom. Haven't used their dry cleaning services yet but definitely will in the future. read more

DAMAGED MY LAUNDRY! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!! This is the first time a dry cleaner has ever ruined my laundry, and it cost me a lot of money. I recently bought a super cute duvet cover from Z Gallerie and it was time to get it cleaned. It was a cotton / rayon blend, so nothing out of the ordinary -- but it was white. It came back a light peach the first time. He admitted that it looked to be a different color than before and offered to re-clean it when I brought it back. I came back two days later, and for some reason -- it wasn't yet ready. When I finally was able to pick it up after the re-cleaning, I brought my one of the matching pillowcases with it to check the color -- and it was still off. This time it was more of a natural linen color than white. When I asked the owner why it didn't match he said that he washed it by itself the second time around and told me that sometimes this happens to white items Note: I've NEVER had this happen to anything white, which is basically 30% of my wardrobe. It made me suspicious, particularly because it came back discolored the first time, almost as if something else deposited color on it, and now he was trying to talk his way out of it. When I pushed and asked if he would replace the item because it was obviously completed discolored now, he said he would not. Instead he offered to "clean" aka DAMAGE my other pillow cases to match . I declined his offer respectfully, to which he offered me $40 in dry cleaning credit so I wouldn't be upset. I told him that my duvet cover was $200, so that wouldn't cover the cost to replace. Also, I'm thinking to myself, why in the WORLD would I ever come back? He then tried to tell me that the duvet cover was defective. I had a textile expert confirm for me that was not the case. There is no way I'd recommend this to a friend -- there was zero accountability for his mistake. I even went to another cleaner to get a second opinion and they confirmed that it was most likely a dry cleaning error from washing it with another item that bled on it -- and over time it would be possible to get the new color out, but it was not guaranteed. NEVER GOING BACK. STAYING FAR FAR AWAY. read more

**5 STars** This place is as good as you can ask a dry cleaner to be. They charge $2.50 a piece for shirts/pants cash or charge (No Hidden fees). The owners are nice and genuinely have a rapport with most regulars. I've come in a couple times now (HAPPY everytime). But this last time it was right before halloween. And there was a private school girl and her mother getting last minute alterations done on her impeccably tailored costume. There was no problem, just a solution, the lady seemed genuinely happy to make it happen for the girl. THAT's WHAT I CALL SERVICE! Anyway that left a wonderful impression to a somewhat new customer like me. Needless to say I will be bringing ALL of my dry cleaning needs to this place. I have never done the 1 hr cleaning, but they always do a great job on dry cleaning. The prices are really low, especially for the quality. They have gotten every stain out of my shirts that I thought were ruined. They also have low priced alterations... I probably wouldn't take a nice suit there, but great for jeans or if you cut a hole in your shirt. I took in a pair of jeans, and they hemmed the bottoms that day. The jeans were a little long so I called back the next day and complained, and showed him the alterations lady the issue and the owner comped the price for me and had it done same day! $2.50 a piece! Need I say more? They do a good job, are friendly, and affordable. They charge $4 for other items like coats etc but for basic uniforms or suits, they are great. Ladies blouses, $2.50. I always thought it was so sexist that cleaners charge men less than women. I also have always thought that dry cleaners were a racket rip off. As long as Studio 1 Hour Cleaners keeps most of their prices at $2.50 I will remain a customer...but IF they raise it, I will update this review and stars and probably look elsewhere for a cleaners. read more

At Flair, it'd have been $8 and 6 days. This place seems to have a loyal following, and being a smaller shop, they can give you more personalized, friendlier service. read more

2.5 stars. Starting going here for the past couple of months, I wasn't in love with the place but it became convenient and so I was fine with it. The guy/owner was ok, not super friendly like my last dry cleaners, but that wasn't important...he got the job done and in a timely manner. prices were ok, not great --- but not bad. I took in my husbands suit last week that had some stains in it. When I had gone to pick it up and asked about the stains he said they couldn't come out, so I was bummed but understood. The stains were stubborn and nothing he can do about it. Butttttttttt - then he wanted to charge me full price for giving me back a stained suit, so I asked if he could charge half price or offer some type of discount and he said no and just shook his head. Customer service is # 1 when you own a business like this and that showed me that he didn't really care about making his customers happy and keeping loyal good people as his customers Needless to say, I won't be returning and am looking for a new place in Studio City ASAP, any recommendations?? read more

Every time you move to a new city it's a pain finding new stores that will become your regulars; hole in the wall restaurant, dentist, barber, mechanic...I'm glad I found this place, because it doubles as my regular stop in for dry cleaning and tailoring. Hisham (the owner) is incredibly nice and can pretty much do anything you want quick and with expert precision, whether it's dry cleaning, hemming jeans or tailoring a jacket. The man who helped me, I'm assuming was the owner, couldn't of been lovelier! I was dropping off my costumes to be cleaned that I rented from Ret Turner costumes. I was worried it would be an expensive cleaning job because of all of the sparkles, tassels and delicacy of the fabrics but no! It was extremely affordable AND he even gave me an extra 20% off! I will definitely come back and bring my business here. They have an excellent tailor there as well, he informed me.
