If l could give a negative star l would! My initial visit was pleasant. Karen, one of the owners was pleasant. I took a few items in the be dry cleaned. A pair of pants and a jumpsuit. I picked then up and everything seemed fine with these items. I also took in an off white silk blend blazer with a leather lapel. Which needed leather cleaning because of the lapel. I was quoted 35 dollars and that it would be ready in a week. I show up the 1st time to pick it up to be told that "He" whoever the hell "he" is" didn't get the dirt off the sleeve. This is where l became suspicious of what she was telling me. My blazer was hanging in the back like it had never gone out. So, l played along with it. Then l called about a week later and it still wasn't done. So, popped in again to find out what the deal is. Now, it will either be in that evening around 4:30 or in the morning. She wants me to call before l come. Because, you know LA traffic. Couldn't be to give her time to put it in plastic and on a hanger to pretend that it went out. Because that is exactly what happened. The blazer had Never been cleaned yall! I told her this blazer wasn't clean. It still had my perfume on it. And all of the dirt from the day l wore it for my birthday celebration. I told her l wasn't paying for that. Now she says yeah, l wasn't going to charge you for it! Bullshit! I told her l wasn't paying then she says l wasn't going to charge you. My advice, stay clear of this place. If she could get away with charging you and not doing the work she will. Im not even sure if my other pieces were truly cleaned. Don't do it! It takes a week to put a few stitches and take out a 1 cm long hairline ink mark, apparently. I knew I was pushing it too far getting the dress ready so close to the day when I was supposed to wear it, but I honestly thought I wasn't asking for much. The few stitches were to be put on the cutouts on the sides of the dress to make them a little shorter. Here I present to you the artwork that I took home yesterday. Please look at the photoraphs to understand what kind of work I am talking about. The stain is gone, great job on that. But the seamstress work is a joke. What upset me most is that from seeing me and talking to me someone got an impression that I will be satisfied with this look. Presenting your customer with such a result is disrespectful at best. If you cannot complete the task, why do you take the job? I have one day left before the needed date, and I am obviously not wearing this dress anymore. (Which is probably even a good thing, because the dress I've chosen to wear instead is actually better.) P.S. I also came on the day I had been told the dress would be ready and faced a locked door - under the pouring rain with a crying baby. But that of course isn't your problem - you had had the note with the new hours hanging on your door for 6 months already. Only one sees the note when they are already there. This is why businesses set up Yelp and Google accounts. Or at least warn their customers at the drop off that the hours had changed. read more

These guys are as good as it gets when it comes to cleaners/tailors! I have been coming here for their normal laundry service for probably a year every week or two, and they always get it done reliably and on time. More recently I've asked them for some tailoring work, mostly pants and simpler things but one very difficult down jacket where the zipper needed to be redone and everything. Not only was the work beautiful, but I was only charged for the original quoted price, rather than what the work should actually cost when you factor in the time it took! Amazing! This place is a sham. I never write bad reviews. EVER. I have worked in the service industry so I don't want bad karma. But I brought in 2 baskets of laundry for their wash and fold service because my friend recommended them. The girl told me that the 2 VERY SMALL bath mats I brought in would cost $5 each to launder. And the rest would be $1.75 per pound. She asked me when I needed it by, I told her ASAP. She said the soonest it could be done was 2 days later, but it wouldn't cost me any extra. I was told it would cost about $40 for everything. I came back to get my things and the cost was NINETY DOLLARS ($90.00). They charged me $18 to clean TWO SMALL BATH MATS and $15 FOR A SMALL BLANKET. I could have literally bought all new bathroom textiles for as much money as they charged me. NOT ONLY THAT, but they charged me for the bath mats and blankets INCLUDED in my total weight, which they charged me as a separate fee as well. So you have to pay that money ON TOP OF them including it in the general weight, even though they don't include that rule when it comes to the general COST. This is the worst business model I have EVER seen. SO: I asked him why I was told it would cost about $40 and it ended up as $90. He said "I don't know, but you must pay full price. No discount." I asked him if the weight of my hampers, the bathmats, and the blanket were included in the weight. He said Yes. Very clearly, no hesitation. ...I said, "Oh, well should I have also had to pay for the weight of the blanket and bathmats in my total for the weight of a SEPARATE wash and fold charge when you're also charging me $33 dollars to have washed those separately? Why should I pay twice for that?" And all of the sudden he started bumbling over his words and said (paraphrase), "Oh no no no, we didn't double charge, no no it's meant to cost this much, it's not that no I'm so sorry we must have wrote numbers on ticket wrong but this is how much you have to pay I promise." ...So naturally I didn't understand how on earth such a SMALL task of a service, such as washing and folding 20 lbs of laundry in this case, could cost such an exorbitant amount of money. I said there's no way I'm paying for the same thing two times. The man rudely told me I would not be allowed to retrieve my belongings unless I agreed to pay full price. I told him fine and walked away. NEVER EVER WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They are deceptive and overpriced. read more

I took a blazer to be cleaned and have the shoulder pads removed. Both the owner and the woman who handled my order were friendly. The service was great and it's walking distance from my house. I would recommend. read more

Finally a place where I can get all done and even buy jewelry !!! To begin there wonderful people who care, their craftsmanship is seamless and ironed to perfection. I bring every item here to either get altered and or cleaned , they work miracles and make miracles happen with the disaster pieces I give them. Reviving all of my items to beauty . As a side note Sako makes beautiful hand crafted jewelry and purses that I get compliments everywhere I go. And I found out he also does jewelry repair! Gorgeous pieces. This dry cleaners is my favorite in the area so far. I had a few visits to them so far but they have been nothing but satisfactory. Their prices are very competitive but they have done a great job of having everything done in a timely manner. It looks to be a family owned cleaners because the staff is always so friendly and professional. They also did an awesome job on curtain cleaning for half the quoted price. They use some seriously special sauce in their dry cleaning brew, because they can get out ANY stain. While eating, my fiancee frequently misses her mouth and I'm prone to food falling out once in-- but whether chili drips from the burger or the maw, they get your shirt back in ship shape. I'm new to the Tujunga Village neighborhood in Studio City. Valley Dry Cleaners is one of three small dry cleaners to choose from on three adjacent corners. I had my partner drop off 13 shirts for washing and pressing, he chose this one. When I went to pick them up my jaw dropped when I was told that my total was $39.00 - $3 a piece. On my short walk home, I stopped in one of the other cleaners to ask their price. I was told that they charge $1.89 per shirt, a price much closer to the going market rate. Given the competition you think they would offer a better price. Be smart, choose one the other two cleaners located by the donut shop or 7-11. read more
