Great dry cleaning service and friendly staff highly recommend for anyone wanting amazing service!

Dry cleaning was great and reasonably priced. However, in January, I had taken a pair of shorts in to be fixed. The silk pockets had torn and I brought a piece of fabric for the pockets. They also offered to sew the back pockets closed. Was charged $30 to fix. Brought another pair of the exact same shorts a little while later, for the same repair. Was charged $50. I questioned the price for the same fixes. They agreed to reduce payment. This weekend, I take the shorts out of storage and find that the back pockets weren't sewn shut on first pair of shorts. On the second pair, they sewed the pocket liner in backwards and left a hole in the pocket. I should've double checked before I left, that's on me. but I'm not inclined to go back for alterations. read more

I live nearby and I thought of giving Aviva Cleaners a try. I needed to get two new zipped sweatpants hemmed an inch and a half. The counter attendant was polite and checked with the tailor. The tailor did not bother to check the work and told her to tell me it would be $42 for each ($84 for both). I declined and went to Sterlings Cleaners that is less than a mile away. The tailor personally attended me and quoted me $25 for each ($50 for both). I accepted and left it with her. Despite Aviva's good reviews on YELP, I left disappointed with the quoted high price. First impressions are important! I do not plan to go back there. read more

He was very knowledgable and extremely kind explaining to me the process and what he could do and up front with the cost. The prices here are so much more affordable than other places and I will continue to come here for all my services! They're also really quick and my dress only took 3 days to do They have a list of services and pricing on their menu and they have a texting system as well if you don't want to call. The work was done ok - but in the easiest way possible. It wasn't cheap and for the price I'd expect a bit more attention to detail. Like, the dress I got back fits ok? The top could use some adjusting but they said straight out they didn't want to spend the time on it so just did the waist. They didn't want to tailor another dress I had because they'd have to add a zipper Well?? add the fn zipper and charge me for it? Lazy. Tailors really do themselves a disservice as a whole when they just want to do the minimum most easy alterations. I'm still looking for someone who looks at their work as art and not assembly line. read more

I've brought my clothes here for nearly nine years, and they've consistently done excellent work. I've tried other spots in Burbank (including the fun and fancy Milton & Eddie's), but honestly, this place is better-- IMO a real hidden gem. Aviva a modest storefront tucked into Magnolia Park across from Gun World and next to that always-busy children's dance studio. Despite the dance madness, parking is somehow never an issue. What really makes this place stand out for me is the owner, Jerry. He's an exceptional tailor with an extensive background in altering coats and precision work. I've trusted him with everything from $800 coats to $350 pants -- often with nervous, overly detailed fastidious instructions (because, let's be honest, with alterations you only get one chance). Jerry has never once let me down. He just gets it -- the proportions, the seams, the little details that make clothing look right. His workmanship is impeccable, especially when preserving original hems on jeans or reshaping/shortening coats, shirts and pants. Most tailors refuse to make alterations that change the original design of a garment; Jerry can, and he will -- beautifully. Once or twice I've had minor issues when other staff handled an alteration, but they always fixed it quickly and without charge. Jerry's own work, though, has been flawless. For that reason I try to only have him alter my items. Dry cleaning here is solid and reliable, and pressing is excellent but Jerry's personal touch and work ethic are what make this place special. He's there from early morning until around 8pm, often hand-delivering finished items himself. He's kind, honest, and endlessly hardworking. I highly recommend this business! read more

I found out about Aviva while reading a yelp review for Milt & Edie's where they said Aviva down the street was cheaper and better. Sounded good to me, so I gave it a shot. I brought two long dressed to be hemmed and a skirt to be dry cleaned. Total was $44 ($10 for the dry cleaning and $17 each for the hemming). Aside from the prices being incredibly reasonable, the hemming is perfect! Two dresses that sat in my closet because they were too long are now wearable. The skirt looks like new. When I first came to drop off the dresses the tailor was not there but they said to come back in 15 minutes, which I did. He was super friendly and they have a dressing room for you to try clothes on for him to pin. I dropped everything off on a Friday and they were ready Wednesday after 5 pm (after I told them no rush). Pretty quick (for the tailoring at least) if you ask me! Free parking lot behind (and also street parking in front). Around the corner from Porto's. This is my new go-to cleaners! read more

Brought my clothes here to get washed and got them back looking like I washed them myself. The are peeling badly and had to drive out of my way both times to them done. Holes in one of my sweaters and the sleeve torn on one. Both only a few weeks old. Asked for a call back and nothing, got a refund for the original cleaning until I found the holes. read more

I do not recommend their tailoring services. They only seem capable of hemming pants and are unable to perform other tailoring tasks properly. They ruined two of my pants, and when I went back to have them fixed, they asked for more money. I left one pair with them, but after a week, they still hadn't bothered to fix it. That money was wasted. They didn't even apologize for the damage and gave a ridiculous excuse for why they ruined the pants. read more

Mediocre service. Looked them up online, seemed nice, decent reviews. Came in Monday early afternoon for some jeans I needed tailored, turns out the tailor wasn't in so told to come in Wednesday. Also quoted $25 for the service. Called twice Wednesday to no answer, and decided to come in. Got measurements taken and jeans dropped off. Told they would be ready by Saturday after 5pm and quoted $35 for the service. Came in around 6pm on Saturday, jeans were unfinished. Told to come back on Monday, and would receive a phone call Monday morning that they were finished. Never received a call, came in Monday afternoon, jeans were done, paid $42 for service and took jeans home. Got home, tried jeans on and noticed that a belt loop is now halfway attached to waistline. Also, stitching along the side is uneven and sloppy. For some reason now the jeans are a little too tight, and am very disappointed. Jean brand is Purple brand and cost around $300. Will not be returning for future services. read more

I had some pants that needed both dry cleaning and tailoring. They did an excellent job, and I will be back again for sure.

TL;DR: affordable, good quality, and friendly service for clothing alterations and dry cleaning! I bought some used Lululemon leggings that were way too long for me, had a rip at the bottom, and had a hole on the back. I was a little worried because the stretchy material would be really hard to handle! I brought them to Aviva to be altered, and Jerry said it would be no problem. I tried on the leggings in the changing room, he marked where to alter them and made sure I was happy with it, and that was it! He even said he would hand stitch the small hole. He showed me how the hem would look, since his machine just does a normal double stitch instead of the zig zag the leggings had originally, and I told him it was fine. I got them back 3 days later (he asked me if I needed them any earlier and I bet he would have accommodated me), and he charged me just $14 ($10 for the hem, and $4 for the hole)! I felt like that was extremely reasonable for being on stretchy Lululemon fabric, and the quality of the work was great. I would definitely recommend Aviva for all your alteration and dry cleaning needs! read more
