My wife needed her dress alternated pronto for an event. They could do it in a few hours and it could be ready in the morning so she could attend the event in the afternoon but what did they do? AMAZING!! Hi everyone! Evergreen saved me tonight! Here's what happened. Last week I brought my brand new suit in for a hem and press. They said "It will be ready on Tuesday" and that was that. Well, I called them the next day and said " I got a second interview and I will need my suit on Monday. Can you do it for me?" The man on the other end of the phone said "sure I can do it but it will be like 5:30 on Monday." I said that's fine. My interview is in the morning. I didn't know it at the time, but I believe the gentleman's name that I spoke to was Jay. (Should have known that he would be awesome.lol). Anyway, fast-forward to Monday evening.... I roll up to Evergreen cleaners at 5:45 to find a note on the door that they had closed early because of an emergency. I panicked! My suit was in there and I have an interview tomorrow. I called the number, got an answering machine and left a message. I wasn't mean, but I was definitely emotional and upset. But what can I do? I hung up and I started to drive home. I got three blocks away when my phone rang and it was this magical man whose name must be Jay. He said" hi." And I said "hi! You have my suit? " He said "yes the blue suit. I can be there in 10 minutes. Ok?". I said "Seriously? I thought I was #%^!" I'll be there!! ". I nearly cried. 10 minutes later he showed up, opened the door, grabbed my suit off the rack without even looking at my slip, and said "here you go...good luck." He wouldn't even let me pay him. I don't think I have experienced such kindness and grace at any other business establishment in my 25 years in Burbank. Maybe Ever!!! I am so grateful! And I will never use any other cleaner. I found this business when I was looking for the zipper on my sleeping bag to be fixed. I stopped at a few cleaners before this one and non could help. Then I came across Jay who took the time to examine the zipper before taking on the job. And he was able to match it up and fix it while I was there. I had to have the sleeves shortened on a jacket. They made the sleeves too short and they were uneven. Bad work. They also said they'd call when the jacket was ready. They didn't. Also, they don't do their own dry cleaning. One of the women who works there told me they send it out. Why pay for a middleman? read more

I was hoping to find a place to take my comforter to have it laundered and my concern was having any kind of smell or perfume afterwards due to some allergies of mine. I found this place on Yelp and called to ask about pricing and inquire if they used fragrance free detergents and thankfully they use unscented detergents... I spoke with Jay, who was so helpful on the phone and gave me all the necessary information. That same day, I took in the comforter and got it back a few days later with absolutely no smell. A few days later I took in a pair of my husband's pants to be pressed. It was ready when promised and my husband was happy with the results. Evergreen Cleaners is the best in Burbank, period. There is another very big, popular place that has been there for years and quite honestly, they don't hold a candle to Evergreen. You want or need personalized service? The owner and the seamstress at Evergreen will take care of you. Back in June my daughter and I walked in with four dresses all needing alterations for a wedding happening in less than a month. They were amazing, they spent at least 45 minutes with us going j er each dress and talking through what needed to be done. One of the dresses had a substantial hole in it, well let me tell you, Evergreen worked some sort of magic with the material because you would never know. I once brought in a pair of jeans that needed to be hemmed, the problem was that I had no idea what length they should be. The owner took the time to show me how each length would look and actually advised me on what he thought looked best. It was so refreshing to be actually HELPED. Not only that, but I needed these jeans done quickly as I had to wear them on a show in less than a week. That's a tall order for a busy business so I offered to pay extra, they said no and simply took care of it and got it done. I cannot say enough good things about Evergreen. I also love that the seamstress likes a challenge. I brought in a 60 year old dress from my grandmother that had only sentimental value. I asked them to just do what they could with it. The moment I said it was my grandmother's it was like they just knew that it was so important to me. They fixed everything from the zipper to holes to ripped netting...it was a miracle, it is perfect now. I do not go anywhere else and I never will. I'm bringing them my 20 year old wedding dress in a few days and asking them to cut it into a shorter dress, I cannot wait to see what magic they make with this dress. I have been a customer for at least 2 years now. At the beginning of lockdown, I purchased two homemade face masks from them. They worked so well, that three months later, I purchased two more. They lasted at least 2 years (delicate cycle wash). I also get my clothes dry cleaned here. They are all-natural, and use organic ingredients. I appreciate that, a) to avoid or minimize the damage to the fabric, and b) to help preserve the environment and reduce its carbon footprint. One other thing I might mention: they don't make promises here. When I brought a dress in recently with food stains on it, they gentleman at the front let me know that he may not be able to get it out. When I picked it up today, it was clean as a whistle. Score!!! I was appreciative, though, that he let me know in advance not to get my hopes up. The fact that he was, in fact, able to get it out was an added bonus. read more

What a wonderful experience I had. This was my first visit after moving into the neighborhood. I used to have all my clothes altered to fit me perfectly, but it's been a while. I decided to take a couple of nice articles of clothing and give it a try. Boy did they go above and beyond what I asked. My dry cleaned jacket looks amazing, brand new. My jacket and slacks fit like a glove. They added a special extra touch just for me. It honestly brought a tear to my eye. They paid attention to the detail that mattered to me. A few months ago I took two curtains that I needed sewed together for a project and was given a reasonable price and was happy with the service. Just a couple weeks ago, I needed the exact same thing done once again with the same exact style of curtain so I naturally walked back in here and was expecting the same price and quality. The lady who took my order confirmed the price and the order on her system and mentioned she "hadn't remember what she had done" on the prior order. I simply stated I needed them sewed together like the last exact pair I brought in several months ago. Nevertheless, she took the order, gave me the ticket and told me it would take "an entire week". I wasn't happy with how long it would take since the prior time it only took 1 day, but I accepted and left the order. 4 full days later at 5:40 in the evening, I get a call from her telling me she was "about to start" on my order but the price was going to go up because it was "more work" than she expected. I explained she had already given me a price 4 full days earlier and she had done the exact same job a few months ago for that same price. She insisted things had "gone up" since the original job and even if I brought in the original curtains she had done to duplicate the job and price, the "price had gone up". This is 4 FULL days after giving me a ticket and a price on an exact job she had done just a few months ago. Extremely unprofessional. I drove right up, picked up the order and went somewhere else. You don't give a client a price for an order, take their order, give them a time frame and a ticket and call them 4 full days later holding the order "hostage" raising the price on the phone just as you are about to start the job. That is Business 101. I understand things go up in business, but you make the client aware of that when they walk in to place an order, not 4 full days as the client is expecting the order to be completed. In the meantime, I had made this place my go-to for dry cleaning, so this company just lost hundreds of dollars in future business since I recently moved to the city. I don't like writing negative reviews since I also own a small business, but when the people doing business don't know how to conduct business and their unprofessionalism affects a project you are working on, these types of reviews are warranted. read more

The wool was of such material/condition that the only way was to shave - by hand - the whole coat to rid it of all the use it had been through probably over several years. I brought in a project for Nanette that I thought was doomed from the start. A 10 year old wedding dress with 10 year old sweat stains.
