The unmitigated nerve of smoking around the clothing of people who have entrusted you to clean them is just despicable, especially given how very expensive they are. Dry cleaning at it's best. I brought 57 items to be dry cleaned because I had a moth infestation. The difference between this dry cleaner and all the rest is the attention to detail. The nice lady who took my order called me told me to come back and look at a few items before they were cleaned because she thought there were too many holes in them. They lost a star from me because I dropped off a very expensive bed pillow and when I went back and paid for it - they handed me someone else's much inferior pillow. I took my wedding dress here to be hemmed and bustled. The hem seemed fine, but the bustle was all off - too short in the center back and dragging on the ground at the sides. I took it back in to get it adjusted, and the tailor told me there wasn't much she could do because the lining of the dress was too cheap. She said I should just leave it down. That wasn't an option for me, and I had already paid for the bustle. I asked about adding additional bustles to help with the sides, and she said that wasn't an option. So we tried a few other things, ending up with an over-bustle that she made with one silver hook-and-eye you could clearly see, and the sides of the dress still touched the floor. I didn't know any better, so I believed her when she said nothing else could be done. When I tried my dress on at home again, I just couldn't help but think something better could be done. I found The Brides Tailor (also here in Burbank), and the tailor there was very surprised to hear that I was told it was impossible to create a better bustle for my dress. In 10 minutes, Jeanetta at The Brides Tailor designed a beautiful four-part bustle and had my dress back to me in a matter of days. She also pointed out that Alameda Cleaners should have taken the hem measurements after creating a bustle, because it was a little crooked once we got everything pinned. She was able to adjust it in a way where you couldn't tell. She also fixed the crooked hook-and-eye at the top of my back zipper that Alameda Cleaners had installed - all for only $100. While she was very nice, it's clear that the woman at Alameda Cleaners didn't know what she was doing when it came to bustling a wedding dress. I wish she would have just said that instead of charging me $200 for a crooked hem and a busted bustle. Also, buyer beware: Although it doesn't say it in the fine print, you can't use the Yelp deal for alteration services. Luckily, Yelp refunded my money. read more

The lady at the front was way too nervous for customer service. She had this overly anxious energy and it was so difficult to speak with her. Yes, she was helpful but kept repeating herself multiple times. She scanned my card over and over on the machine but she wouldn't let me do it so she kept getting error. I told her to hold the card longer and she kept pulling it out fast. She then proceeded to say it was my fault and the other customers were fine in front of them. Turned out it scanned. She needs to get retrained how to talk. She is completely a frantic woman that doesn't understand customer service. She needs to take a class to calm down. The clothes came out fine for a July discount but there's always something about this place/service. It was my second time and if it wasn't for a discount I wouldn't come back. I'm NOT going here again. So much of a hassle over NOTHING. I want to be relaxed for service not dealing with a middle aged woman frantic mess. read more

I dropped by last sat morning to give them my boyfriend'ssuite. They said it'll be ready by Tuesday night. I informed the lady that I work late Tuesday night and I will come Wednesday morning. She said that will be fine. I show up at 9:21. The same lady said everything is ready but the pants and to come back at 10. She said she doesn't know what happened. I said no worries. I came back at 10 and they are still not ready. She calls her boss and I speak to him on the phone. He said they will bring them by at 11:15 .. I am frustrated. I have no problem with the lady that works here. I think she's very sweet 11:15 rolls around and they are ready. The wife of the owner (very sweet and apologetic) comes out and apologizes over and over again. She gives me the suite for free plus $20 store credit. In the end, It all worked out and i loved how they took ownership of there mistake. They also went above and beyond making there mistake right. I'll definitely being coming back again. We all make mistakes but how we fix it is what matter. read more

Extremely disappointed. They have no prices listed anywhere in the store and the receipt that is given has NO prices. I bought the yelp deal thinking, my nine pieces won't be more than $50, I pay $45 for 10 near by my house. I figured I'd give it a shot since I had to stop at Staples and hence the $35 for $50 deal, I'd pay roughly the same price. Wrong. I paid $39.50 ON TOP of the $35 Yelp special for 9 pieces, the total was $89.50. I will not be coming back and will be reporting this business to the City because it is California law for customers to be given a line-Item receipt. It's totally a bait and switch with that Yelp deal. Unless you have the luxury to splurge on basic dry cleaning expenses, it would be wise to take your business elsewhere. read more
