UPDATE: I decided to revisit my original review and add some more details since we've returned to this place again and again. They're so great! Here's the full story: We can't recommend Elite Cleaners more highly! I found their services when I was searching for a place I could trust to alter my wedding reception gown (without breaking the bank). After asking around for quotes, I decided to give Elite a call. The woman who runs the shop was incredibly helpful: after I showed her the gown, she offered me a super reasonable quote and scheduled an appointment for the following week so I could meet the alteration lady and get my measurements taken. I was a little nervous about how casual the whole process felt, especially with such an expensive dress on the line (the store very much has a local business vibe and I got a handwritten receipt), but oh my GOSH, did they deliver. The tailor absolutely nailed it and the dress fit perfectly--plus both women in the shop were so genuinely excited and it was truly a heartwarming experience. Since then, we haven't had alteration needs but definitely go back to them with our dry cleaning. If you're looking for great value and even better service, this is your stop! I had a very disappointing experience with this business, specifically with my wedding dress. Not to completely discredit them, I do believe they offer reasonable prices. They were also very friendly when I first used their service for my bridesmaid dress, so I thought I could trust them with my wedding dress. Unfortunately, my wedding dress was too difficult for them to handle. Yes, it was very dirty at the bottom when I brought it in, which they made very clear after the fact (however, I don't know what wedding dress isn't dirty when it's dragged across the floor/ground all day, so can you really be surprised?). They said they dry cleaned once and wet cleaned twice, but it was still very much stained. They didn't want to clean it any further to prevent damage. I'm fully aware that wedding dresses are vulnerable to permanent stains, so I reluctantly accepted it even though the dress couldn't be restored to how it was before, not even close to it. The owner offered to refund my $125 deposit (which he denies later) if another dry cleaner would be able to clean it. I decided to get a second opinion - this other dry cleaner offered to spot clean to determine whether or not the stain was actually permanent. They were able to get the stain out (pictured) and didn't charge me for the test clean. I can only guess that Elite didn't try as hard or that they don't have the knowledge to remove the tougher stains. I came back to Elite to politely ask if their offer to refund was still on the table. They changed their tune real quick. They were no longer friendly and quickly became frustrated and conveniently denied ever offering a full refund. It's not my fault that they didn't have the skills or expertise to get the job done. They were obviously bothered that another business was able to accomplish what they couldn't. Sure, they put in some effort, but I don't think they provided quality work. They said that they are going to respond to my review with a picture showing how dirty my dress was when they first received it. But if you claim to be a professional dry cleaner, you would 1) be able to remove the stains or 2) you would know better not to accept something so dirty that you already know that you would have difficulty cleaning. I think it just goes to show that they're not the best out there. Ultimately, my issue with them is that they shouldn't have accepted something they couldn't handle and force me to be ok with the outcome and not offer any form of compensation. So, if you have something that's not complicated, this place will suffice - I'll give them that. But save your money if you have something more advanced. My regret is that I didn't take it to the other dry cleaner first to avoid all of this - now I have to pay a total of $400 for something that should have only costed me $250. And it sucks to see that this doesn't seem to be uncommon. It sounds like I had a similar experience according to Sing W's review - I'm glad she only paid $50 instead of a painful $125. Never coming back and I hope they feel good about getting paid for a poor job. read more

I would not recommend this place. The prices are good, but most of the stains were still there. Not the biggest problem though. My nice jacket feels a size smaller now, something happened to the shoulders (one seems lower than another) and the fabric is scratchy and unpleasant. Very disappointing. Also the lady that took my order kept asking if one of the silk shirts I brought was from a thrift store, because I had washed it in a machine wash. I had to repeat several times that it was not the case and she would still insist that it was, I found it rude and strange. read more

Tried looking for a good cleaners/alterations and found this place. Had very good Yelp reviews (5 stars) so I thought I'd try them out since I just needed a to dry clean a jacket and reattach a button. I thought, simple enough. Right? Dry cleaning aspect, jacket came back perfect. No issues there However when it came to reattaching my button, they did a horrible job. The reattached button ended up creasing my jacket since it looks like they didn't flatten out the fabric beforehand. I mentioned this to the lady working in front when I was picked up my jacket because the fabric underneath felt shifted and wasn't flat. The lady said that was the jackets condition when it came in and blamed it on maybe previous alterations. I thought, oh maybe she was right? Maybe something I didn't notice However once I got home, further inspection showed that they just did not do a good job on attaching the button. There was sooooo much thread under the button. Then you could just see the crease for where the button is reattached that it was probably done too tightly that now it pulled the fabric causing the crease. I wouldn't bother coming back for them to fix this because I already tried telling them something was wrong when I picked up my jacket. Instead of listening to my concern, they just brushed it off. Found Elite on Yelp, and they had such stellar ratings I thought I would give them a try. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed to be shortened quite a bit and after being turned down by 2 other cleaners due to the time constraint, Elite Cleaners & Alterations happily accepted. Upon pick up, I failed to try on the dress on premises to make sure the alteration was ok. I finally tried it on at home and realized the dress was still too long. Panic quickly ensued. I called them immediately and they told me to come in asap. I had another fitting, they apologized, and promised to fix the dress within a couple hours, no charge, despite their busy day. Yeah, I know that's what they were supposed to do, but they were just so sweet and accommodating. In the end, my light pink dress looked great, despite my mountain of insecurities. Well, the 5/5 reviews are all accurate. I took them an expensive All Saints hoodie that got some oil stains on it and it said no dry cleaning. I saw no other way so I took it to them. I signed off on the likelihood my hoodie might get ruined in the process of trying to fix and clean my uncleanable hoodie. However, the lady and the man in the shop in great detail and expert advice told me about the danger of dry cleaning something like this which I appreciated a lot. This place is great! I brought in my wedding dress that I wore to my OUTDOOR wedding, so you could imagine how dirty it got by the end of the night. I was pretty reluctant that it was gonna get clean. Najat was super friendly and assured me they were going to do their best to try to get it as good as new. First of all, their prices are amazing! I had called a few other cleaners, and Elite had the most reasonable prices for wedding dress cleaning! They look over the whole thing and go over their cleaning process with you when you bring it in. Their turn-around time was only 2 weeks! When I brought my dress in, the bottom of it was all black from dragging on the dirty floor all night, and I had a couple drink stains on it as well. I wasn't expecting it to be good as new at all - I just wanted it to be as clean as it could get, and honestly, it's basically as good as new! I was genuinely shocked! I have never completed a 1 star review for any establishment on Yelp, but felt that I had to for my wedding dress preservation service that I had done at Elite Cleaners. I took my Anna Campbell wedding dress in to be preserved at Elite Cleaners because they had great reviews. They quoted me $250 for the service which included an acid free box. When I received the dress, they returned it in a sealed box along with a bag of extra fabric. They said that the extra fabric was for a veil that was in the bag we took the dress in. I didn't wear a veil for my wedding, so I panicked and decided to open the box to make sure my wedding dress was actually inside. Fortunately, my dress was inside. Unfortunately, it fell in the box because it was held up by a piece of clear packing tape. Additionally, they STAPLED incredibly delicate lace to a cardboard mold, in 4 different places. They STAPLED through my wedding dress! It looked as if they just threw the dress in the box and sealed it and sent it home. I would have been better off just keeping the dress on the hanger that I had. I feel more sad than disappointed because this dress was very special and meaningful to me. Very helpful, the owner( I believe) and his wife were very honest with me and he walked me through the process. He and his team were very professional. As an update to my review: I agree with previous reviews about this place STAPLING pickup tags directly onto the fabric of your clothing and thereby damaging it and leaving holes. The tags are sufficiently large for proper stapling, but their neglect highlights a reckless attitude toward your belongings. I came to Elite Cleaners to get alterations done to my dress. The dress was from Windsor and due to my short stature it was was too long! I came in order to get a quote because another tailor in Glendale wanted to charge me $90-120! Elite Cleaners was able to be give me a fair price of $60! I was ecstatic!
