This place is awesome. From the outside it looks like a regular small nail salon but it's huge inside! Super super clean and everyone's very nice. They have at least 150 different colors to choose from for your no chip so if you're like me you'll spend 10 minutes trying to pick one. They always play soothing music and their decor is so cute. I've noticed that not a ton of places do this but they put a new plastic bag where you put your feet when you get a pedicure... Love this because you know it's always clean. Definitely wouldn't want to put your feet somewhere where everyone else does. I also got a no chip here a week and a half ago and I chipped four of my nails.... My fault... But when I went back to get them fixed they insisted that they won't charge me.... And the most important part.. My no chip and pedicure came out great! :) read more

This was my first time going to this salon and it definitely did not leave the best impression on me. The woman who did my nails was not attentive to details which is the very essence of getting your nails done. She didn't get the nail polish I requested after telling me they have it available. First time trying this place out and it was a 50/50 experience for me. My niece was in town visiting from Dallas.During her trip she broke a couple of nails and ask me to find a place that did dipped powder nails and here we are. Firstly very nice salon it looks clean and they had tons of stations. I called like 45 minutes before closing and got an answer and was able to book an appointment the next morning (they ask what service you want when you book keep that in mind). We come in weren't immediately greeted but it is a large salon, we did make eye contact so we just sat and waited less than 2 minutes before we were asked if we had an appointment and to take a seat. I wasn't going to get anything done but my niece insisted I get a no chip so I wouldn't just be sitting there so I asked if it was okay and they said no problem. Bare with me... here's where it goes sour. I personally love children my niece not so much one of the employees had their daughter in the shop and she was so adorable she for some reason loved us and kept asking us questions and bringing samples and colors. ( she was maybe 3) My niece was getting a little annoyed because we were waiting about 15 minutes and I'm not exaggerating 5 employees asked her the exact same questions "Are you doing dipped nails or acrylic? Do you have tips?" Her answer was always "yes dipped, tips on 2 nails that broke the rest are real". Then they would flip her hand over and check. Finally the last person I guess who works there drew the last straw and had to do the dipped nails came over, throws her keys and cell phone on the table like she was having a bad day ask the magic questions and walks away. My niece and I give each other the uh-oh look and she chooses her color (this is important) an amethyst purple with gold specks and a gold to match the specks. The lady starts the dip and after two fingers my niece says I don't think this is the right color. The lady checks the jar and said it is and continues. My niece says but it's coming out brown... will it lighten? The lady says no this is how their gel no chip dipped powder comes out. My niece says I really don't like it it's a completely different color. I don't think I can handle this color for 2-3 weeks. At this point the technician could have been cool and said I'm sorry about that would you like to choose another before I go on ( she did 4 fingers on one hand) Instead she looks at my niece and said "What do you want me to do? I almost finished a whole hand already. I'm going to have to start over." My niece said "I want another color or you can take this off and I'll go somewhere else." The lady grabs her original color (which is on a color swap) and we show her and the ladies getting a pedicure because at this point it's becoming a scene that they were indeed 4-5 shades off. The lady then says that's just how they come. RUDE! My niece chooses a hot pink because how can that be off. The lady never apologizes and for a $40 service shouldn't you get what you want? I had to tell the lady in a calm way if tomorrow was her wedding day you wouldn't question if the color was wrong. Maybe the company you're using should know that women chose colors for a reason and if you have to see it everyday it should make you happy. My niece still left her a tip with no thank you or goodbye from her. My no-chip came out perfect. I was pleased with my tech she was a silent nail perfectionist. My cuticles look amazing! Unfortunately it was a 15 minute drive that is not worth the stress of being asked 20 questions and fearing a grumpy tech wielding a cuticle clipper. I'll stick to my Rose nails. read more

I went here on a whim. I usually do my own nails, but have had an issue with peeling. I got a no-chip manicure to help grow them out. Michelle, the manager, was the one to do my manicure. She paid special attention to the tips, where I've had the peeling problem. She listens to how I like them shaped and such. My nail was covered completely, perfectly painted, and the no-chip lasted three weeks. The nails had grown out so much that I had to get a new manicure. I've gone back three times now. My nails are long and healthy again. They have a million no-chip colors to choose from--even some that have matching regular polish to match your toes to your no-chip manicure without having no-chip on your toenails. Everyone is friendly, they have the best massage chairs I've experienced during a pedicure, too. Everything is very clean!! They use plastic liners in the pedicure tubs so that you're not getting gross germs from other people's feet. (This is VERY important to me). They get busy, so if you're in a hurry, call for an appointment. But they accommodate walk-ins as quickly as possible. Bonus: FREE WI-FI!! read more

I was coming here for a good while & I really liked it here there are tons of positives things I can say like how it's super clean & they have tons of polish options! But I started to notice that over time their manicures started to get a bit unfinished? (Not sure how else to word it) What I mean is the technician started to miss parts of my nails and I wouldn't get full coverage on them and this started it happening more and more. Also their manicure tended not too last too long I'd probably get a week of wear after my nails would get done and it was as if I would have to get a no-chip because a regular manicure would be pointless. After being a regular for a good 6 months I decided to find another salon. Finalllly! A Pedi-cure with a new plastic bag placed in the mini foot tub to give you the cleanest & safest pedicure possible! I am a clean freak & my OCD with cleanliness was satisfied here at Studi-O Nails. I've been to other nail salons where they lightly rinse the foot tub and start working on the next customer. Once actually, at Chicago Nails on Touhy, the lady took a rolled up newspaper and killed a fly on my knee and the fly flew into the water lol.. This nail salon is in a shopping center and next to a Mariano's, a pet store, a toy store, and a few other things. Parking was easy. I called last minute and they were able to fit me in on a week night. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and most of the associates were customer service friendly (I didn't feel rushed). My manicure and pedicure came out great. A few things that they can improve on is - consistency in customer service. While some associates engaged in conversation, the individual I was with did not. I found her to be slightly rude (maybe she was tired though!). Also, some associates offered water, I was not. They can also improve on cleaning the space/granite where customers dry their nails (at the front) - I immediately felt a dirty granite when laying my hands down, and my sandal was sticky as well. I didn't question cleanliness otherwise. Lastly, for a Wednesday night, there were no specials - my manicure and pedicure costed $43. Overall though, I'll definitely be back! Customer service was great (in comparison to other salons), they were available at about 530-6PM, and the place felt clean. Update: my manicure/pedicure began chipping at about 4-5 days. read more

I come here every time I'm in the suburbs to get my nails done, and I must say I've had an average experience. They charge city prices for the suburbs, but their no chip doesn't last more than a week and half. They do offer dip, but with the dip they don't do a proper manicure, they use the drill machine to remove the cuticle and it really thins out the nails. That being said the colors dont match either. I've asked several times for a no chip and regular color to match and the two colors will come out completely different. At times I also feel like the techs rush my service. The person sitting next to me will get the same service I will get and I'll be done much sooner than they will be. There is just no system to their technique. I say save your money and go to a nice spa and get better treatment! read more

Wish I came here to read the reviews here before coming to this place. I came here for the first time to get a good relaxing pedicure experience and let me tell you how it was!!!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, they charge you 33 for a pedicure and you don't get a sugar scrub for your legs that's extra money, the scrubber for your feet is cheap quality as far as the others use at their spas, the hot towel wasn't even hot, the lotion massage wasn't even relaxing. I asked them 2 times massage harder and he kept sliding his hands rubbing only lotion. I got frustrated and told him just stop!!!!. The place is beautiful I will give them a 10 for it. As far as a relaxing spa experience it's horrible and never coming back. As he's painting my nails I'm writing this review because I am so dissapointed for coming here. The employees are genuinely invested in the work that they do and it shows! They are so clean, they use new tools, and use plastic wrap on the foot spas, and their pedicures are HEAVENLY!!! They are a little pricey but it is worth every penny! I come here regularly every 3 weeks- yes my no-chips last 3 weeks!!! They have huge TVs, great comfy chairs, cold and hot drinks, and treats. Came here with 2 of my friends for pedicures and it was an ok experience. We all got the standard pedicure was was $30, pretty reasonable for a pedicure. We made appointments ahead of time, and yet 1 technician had to work on two of us at the same time....? She kept going back and forth between two of us and it was extremely unorganized. You can definitely tell that the whole process was super rushed and it just wasn't enjoyable at all. Also, she didn't do a good job when putting on the top coat of nail polish, you can see where the top coat begins and ends on each nail and it doesn't look clean and smooth. I'm sure the experience can differ depending on who you get. I'm also sure the experience could have been better if we had two different technicians working on us, instead of sharing one between the two of us. Definitely won't be coming back here read more

Customers that came after us were already seated in the pedicure chairs. My party and I decided to walk out after 15 minutes of waiting. I LOVED, but now HATE this place. It is absolutely beautiful when you walk in, it is clean, organized and by the looks of things makes you feel relaxed. Until you start going there regularly and that 's when your Zen turns in to stress! When you are a new customer, they will shower you with compliments, amazing customer service and make you feel like you're royalty. They will offer you water or soda, they will help you pick out a color, etc. Once you are "in", EVERYTHING changes. Now, you are no longer important. This place was recommended to me and I brought more business to them by bringing my mom, my sister, my niece and also recommended them to a couple of my friends as well. I always make an appointment because I am on a tight schedule and cannot take chances with "walk ins." This last time, I made my appointment with Michelle on a Saturday afternoon. When I came in, I immediately see Michelle sitting down with another client and she has not even started on her "no-chip" manicure. I was instantly furious since the last 2 times before this, the same thing happened and I had to wait for 45 min when I had my appointments scheduled each time. She started begging me to let her mom Holy do my nails this time. At first I refused, so they started talking in "their language" back an forth and I'm sure telling Holy that I didn't want to do pedicure with her. I am very particular who does my toes and Holy does not do a good job. After Holy does it, my polish just does not last. The last time I had her do my pedicure and in literally 3 days, my feet looked like they were untouched - the heel looked white and cracked, nail polish was starting to chip and I had pain from the ingrown skin. Why did I even go? I barely waited a couple of weeks to have Michelle do it the right way just to come in and forced to get my pedicure done by Holy again. This is RIDICULOUS! Holy is a nice lady, but she is no where near to be properly trained/taught how to do nails. The manicure I did with her before lasted 2 days and started chipping away - I don't know what she does, but it does not last! So, AGAIN, I was FORCED to get my toes done by Holy. I felt like I was cornered because I was leaving town the next day and had to get my toes done. When I was sitting in a chair, Holy looked pissed off and wasn't even looking up at me. Do I really want to feel this way when I should be relaxing? NO! Her husband "the other owner" will run this place in to the ground with his lying business tactics. When you call and request a specific person at the specific time, they will never say "no" to you just to get you in. Once you are in, you realize that the person you requested is not only booked, she is OVERBOOKED and no way has time for you. That's when they swoop in and they force you up on someone else, who either has way less experience OR never does a good job. Michelle is the ONLY properly trained and skilled person there. Anyone calls, only wants her and I don't blame them. Maybe they should have invested in other technicians to get their proper education to be just as good as Michelle; this way Michelle wouldn't have to be spread so thin and be overbooked constantly. I can only assume that the only 5 start reviews on here are only for people who had their nails done by Michelle. They are NOT cheap and for me to be stressed and feel uncomfortable every time I come in - Ah, NO THANK YOU! I have give them a fair amount of chances. It is time for me to move on and find another place who actually has respect for your time and sticks to the appointment times and person you specifically request. read more

I specifically asked for my nail polish no chip to match the polish on my toes. I was given the selection of colors that consist of that option. After an hour and a half, turns out my toes are orange and my nails are pink, Gina tried to look for a color to paint over my toes to get closer to pink. Still not quite right. She notified the owner and there wasn't any type of apology from her. I paid $65.00 and was very disappointed! If they had any sense of trying to keep my business, they would not have charged me for my pedicure. I will not be going back there. It's too bad, Gina was great at doing my nails. read more
