I've been going here for two years now. I've not once had an issue with my nails or the service being provided. The environment is very chill and comforting. Every time I book here I alwayssssss look forward to coming! Sam, the nail technician I go to always copies and pastes the nail inspiration I show him. As he does my nails he always checks in with me first to make sure it's what I wanted. He's very respectful and polite. I will forever be coming here. 10/10 recommend.

The aftermath of the rushed pumice stone scrubbing

First off, they did a really nice job with my dip manicure and pedicure. They both look great. However, the reason for 3 stars is that I was there for 2 full hours to get everything done - luckily I didn't have anywhere to be afterwards. I showed up at my appointment time and they didn't start with me until 25 mins after my scheduled appointment time. It just seemed like they may have overbooked themselves with only 3 individuals working. Since it is a weekend, they should either take less clients or have another staff member working -- as multiple times my services were interrupted by them having to take incoming phone calls to schedule future clients' appointments. Throughout my two services, I had all three individuals doing different parts of my mani/pedi so that they could keep up with the days' scheduled clients. Even though I was there for two hours, the majority of that time was "down time" in between someone working with me and finishing my mani/pedi. Because when they were working on me it was rushed. Additionally, they were pretty aggressive with the pumice stone -so much so that my ankle paid the price with two new open wounds, and left me audibly gasping and grabbing my ankle in pain (photo taken immediately after leaving) If you have plenty of time to spare, this is a good option for quality mani/pedi services. Overall though, I wouldn't call it relaxing.

Dip nails 1 week later- still looks good and no chipping! Light pink mixed with Cinderella

I came here after purchasing a groupon for dip nails and I had a pretty good experience! The staff were helpful and friendly and actually helped create "my own color" after describing that I wanted a light pink with a little bit of shimmer. They first dipped with light pink and had the top coat as the dip named "cinderella." I loved them! The only issue I ran across was once he used the warm towel on my hand some of the top coat came off of a few fingers but once I told them they fixed it immediately! The salon was clean and wasn't too crowded!

Three days ago I gave this place a try and I am not happy. My dip is already chipping which I never have had this problem at a different salon. I knew from the day I got them done that they didn't meet my standards.

So I went to sisterly nails and decided to go for a mani and pedi : 1. Asked if it's possible to do the mani pedi at the same time, because last time the owner asked me if it's ok if they do it the same. so I asked if we can do it like last time cause it would save me time. The owner was nice about it but the workers gave me attitude. 3. Got a small cuts on my right pinky, which is totally unprofessional because it can cause infection. My left toe is till soar from taking off to much cuticles. 4. Workers seemed so unprofessional and seemed to laugh while staring at me. 5. I have been getting 12+ years and I am really disappointed at their quality work. 6. I am only giving one star cause the owner is nice and the place is clean. Other than that not going to go back.

This place is amazing! I'm obsessed with my nails. I got a dip manicure and regular pedicure, they also put a super cute pumpkin design on my nail. They are so kind and take time to make nails look good. Plus the salon smells great. I'd love to come back!

I wanted to love this place so bad! I had to find a new place after the service and quality at the salon across the street went downhill. Sisters is CLEAN, nice staff and great prices! But within a week, two of my no-chip nails started chipping. I asked another friend who has gone twice and she said within a week her nails have chipped too. I realize maybe you won't get a full 2 weeks from a no-chip, but within a week is not ok. I would love to give this place another chance....!

They do not answer their phone. After numerous attempts, trying to call to schedule appointments, and receiving a message saying contact them on Instagram, it is impossible to make an appointment here. This used to be a decent salon. I don't understand what happened to them. After trying to contact them at least a dozen times, they obviously don't need clients. read more

The only reason why I would go to another nail salon is if Sisters Nails is closed (either for vacation or Sundays & Mondays). The more I try other nail salons, the more I appreciate coming to Sisters Nails. Sam and Katie, the owners and nail techs, only take appointments by phone. Strictly no walk-ins. I know that this could be a bummer to other potential or existing customers, but for me, this is one if the things that I like about them. They take their time and do quality work to each customer. My daughter has always gotten acrylics by Sam and I usually get no chip mani and pedi by Katie. They have always done awesome work. The place has consistently been quiet, clean, and relaxing. The best thing about Sisters Nails for me is that Sam and Katie are both quiet. They were always very polite and respectful. They have always replied to questions or made small talks, but overall, they have always been just quiet. The one thing that has always turned me off from other nail salons, was when all the technicians would talk loud with each other, in their own language. I speak my own native language too, but I personally feel that it is rude to talk (or laugh) with each other, in front of other people (customers). Overall, I will continue to support this small business. The service has always been great and efficient. 'Til next time! read more

I was in town for a wedding and bought a groupon for dip manicure and regular pedicure. It's a very clean salon with friendly staff. They really took their time and did a meticulous job on both my nails and feet. My only complaint is that most nail salons r kinda rough when they file my toenails. It usually hurts but I don't complain... other than that, they did a very nice job. The dip costs $40 regularly, not sure if that's what they usually charge in Chicago and pedicure costs $25. read more

I keep coming back to get my nails done here. It's very relaxing and they do a great job! When I got my pedicure they did a very thorough scrub of my feet and as a runner I had a lot of dry skin that just needed the maintenance , she did a great job! Also the no chip manicure was perfect for 2 weeks until my nails started to grow out and it was time for a change. They have OPI polish in a variety of colors and good prices for the value of service you get. The inside is new and has parking right out front! Two thumbs up! read more

I do not recommend this place. I went for my nails today at 11:30 and the lady that did my nails her name was Mary. When she was doing my feet she was very very rough. And then I got burgundy nail polish and she did not clean my nails up very well she left marks nail polish on my skin. I told her not to file my nails nor to clip them and she did not listen to me and she proceeded to file my nails and cut my nails. When she was doing my nails she was getting very very aggravated. I will not be returning to this place. read more

Great new nail salon. Staff is very friendly, very clean inside. They have so many color selections for polish. My manicure looked great and My no chip has lasted for over 3 and a half weeks! At the end, they popped open a little vitamin e capsule and rubbed it in with the lotion, my hands were so soft . The prices are great and they even have punch cards, and they Gave me some coupons for next time, I will be back for sure. read more

Found this nail salon on Groupon and so glad I did! This was my first time getting a dip manicure and it was a great experience! Although they didn't have many dip color choices, they had many wonderful gel and regular colors available! They also do a great job on your nails overall! They use sanitized packaged tools as well which is nice! Only downside is that the place isn't big and you need an appointment. I will definitely be back though!! read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY! Not recommending this place, the lady that did my no chip was horrible she almost broke my hand twisting and slapping it according to her comfort. (Girl i sugggestmmm you have your eyes checked) When she should be adjusting for the customers comfort?! She is so rude! have a hard time communicating with her. She was rushing to finish my nails.my nails came out uneven and had to be redone. My pedi came out fine but like the other lady she was rushing to do it that it felt painful. She didn't even scrub my foot well.(she did it like 10 second each foot). The management should seriously look into this..if you wanna want to last get respectful and good people cause how ever nice you are as an owner the people that work for you is the face of your company the impression they give the customer reflects your company. For me a nail salon should have a relaxing and welcoming vibe. read more

-1000/ 10 highly not recommended. I made an appointment 2 weeks and I come the day of my appointment at 9 a.m. and they tell me somebody with my name canceled their appointment so they ended up canceling mine instead. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would... I noticed Sister Nails on my way home one night & decided to give them a try. I had a broken nail that I needed to repair & wanted to get a no chip done. When I asked what can be done to repair my nail, I was asked if my nails were previously done by them. When I replied "no," I was told I should go back to where I originally got my nails done. I have been getting my nails done for years and have gone to many, many places and I have never received such a ridiculous response & horrible customer service. Not to mention there were no customers so they had no reason not to take me. As a business they should never turn down a new customer. read more

Went in because I had a grand opening coupon and hadn't gotten my nails done in forever. Very good experience! The place is really clean, and they have the tools in what looked like germicide (blue) to keep them clean. Good color selection on the wall! Enna helped me at first and then Nadia took over. Very sweet and had a nice conversation. They just opened, but I'll be back! read more

I always get a no-chip gel manicure, and I was surprised when they did 2 layers of gel base, and THREE layers of gel polish. All places I've been to only does one base coat and 2 (at best) of gel polish. I believe my nail tech was Quynh and she really made sure to evenly coat my nails, and she even coated all of the sides (which is a problem I've had with other places). Will definitely come back here every Chicago trip!

In January/2020, I got my pedicure done by one of the older women there. This lady was nice. However, I wasn't happy with the overall pedi she gave me. I had dry skin on my feet and expected smooth feet once I was done. She only spent about 10-15 seconds scrubbing each foot, which didn't do much. I went home and felt the bottom of my feet. They felt as if I never got this pedicure. I called the owner (Hana) and told her the issue. I was very nice and understanding and told her I'm not calling for compensation or a free service. I simply wanted her to know so the employee is aware and hopefully doesn't repeat this. Hana, on her own, said my next pedicure is free. I told her that I'd like her to do it next time. Fast forward to March 2. I came in for the free pedi. I find it shocking that when you're a "paying" customer how nice and respectful Hana is towards you, but when she offers you a free service, she is rude as hell. Hana wasn't as friendly as she always was. She put my feet in scolding hot water and hurt me while clipping my toes. I've never experienced this there before. She had a sour look on her face the whole time. Hana showed her true colors. I'm not going back there again. It's sad because for many years, I liked the place/staff, but once they aren't profiting from you, they view you as a waste of time and money. Well, you're actually making up for the crappy service your initial employee provided. There are many other great nail salons. Please stay away from this one. Phony owner and 1 staff member isn't taking the proper time to remove your dry skin.

During my manicure, I also noticed other clients were given towels or hand rests while my arms were resting directly on the cold table. The finished manicure is decent overall, although I noticed a few small air bubbles and that the color appears slightly thinner in some areas than others. Overall, I didn't feel like the experience was very personalized or attentive, so I'll be trying another salon next time

She was a cute college grad with lots of personality. She picked out a pretty goldish green which I would have never had the cahonies to try on my own. She did a great job and really tried to make my visit enjoyable. Very personable :) Next the owner did my pedicure. Sadly the infamous Bryan was out for the day. So I'll have to go back and check him out. The pedi room was seperate and intimate with 2 service chairs and a tv. I was the only one getting one so I had the room and tv remote to myself. I won't bore u with the details but I soaked for 15 min and she spent at least 10 minutes a piece buffing each heel. At least! My feet were a little tender when she was done, but it beats the nasty dreaded razor (which she told me is illegal in IL). Overall, I would definitely go back, especially if they weren't too busy. I was there for a couple hours but I felt like it was worth it because they had top of the line nail art, good prices, and they are black owned and operated which is really rare. Give them a shot!

My daughter and I went to Sisters Nails today and enjoyed a great experience with our pedicure. The salon is exceptionally clean- all equipment is sterilized and they open a fresh package of files and pumice stones. There is absolutely no chemical smell, also love the essential oil smell in the store (not sure what brand it is, but it smells so refreshing). Kathy was my nail tech. She was such fun and pleasure talking to her. She takes her job seriously as well and it shows in the work she does. My toes are awesome! I'll definitely be back. read more
