Do a great job for a reasonable price. Very attentive. Great selection of colors. Hours are flexible

This is extremely unfortunate that I have to update my review and no longer support this business. I have been a REGULAR customer at Crystal Nails for the last 7 years! I've brought MULTIPLE people who have become customers to this place. The owner knows my entire family! But the way I was treated recently was truly disrespectful. For my birthday, I made an appointment for two pedicures for me and my daughter. I needed the appointment to be mid-afternoon, but the owner pushed for me to take a 4:45 appointment. As the day progressed and I was preparing for my event in the evening, the appointment time was cutting it way too close so I had to call and cancel. After I told the owner I had to cancel SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! I called 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time to cancel. Is it an inconvenience to the business? Sure, I can understand there is an impact to a schedule change. However, to treat me- a regular customer, who has brought you lots of business- so rudely to hang up on me?? And she has my number to call me back if it was an accident, she didn't call back. I'm still astonished at this treatment. It's really a shame because now I need to take my business elsewhere. I will say that Lisa who works there is extremely talented, gives the best foot massages, and the best service in the entire place. You know in February I let it slide when I came to get a pedicure on a day that I was extremely stressed out, with my arm in a sling, and the owner and one of the older women working there made sarcastic comments about me being a few minutes late. They were not, and never were, packed to the gills with customers. Lisa was the only person who saw the stress on my face and comforted me when I burst into tears. I even was willing to come back after that! But never again. That treatment towards me was extremely unkind and I didn't deserve that. No one does. read more

TERRIBLE. I picked a pale pink for my pedi but what was applied wasn't even close. She never asked if it was ok so I didn't see it until I was finished. Tried to tell me same color because the numbers from bottles matched. Wanted pale pink got ugly melon. The tech did a dreaded job. My toes look awful. Worst pedicure I have ever had. My friend got a full face wax and they only did half of her lower face!! Happy I saw all the remaining hair before we left. Out of date equipment to remove gel polish. AVOID THIS PLACE read more

Crystal Nails - WORST PEDICAURE. WRONG COLOR. LOOK AT THE CUTICULES. DEAD SKIN - Nail Salons Near Me - Skokie, Illinois

I got a gel manicure last Friday and 6 days have past by and the paint on one of my nails is on the verge of coming off :( Gel manicure typically lasts 2.5-3 weeks for me so this is very disappointing. I'm wondering if Crystal Nails would redo my nail for me? Additionally, after examining my nails, I later realized they didn't paint my nails fully. There is a lot of space between the polish and my cuticles so it looks like my nail grew out a lot (see photos) Overall I'm pretty disappointed in the manicure. I paid $36 + $8 tip. read more

Always a good experience! I love how they have a hot stone massage and shoulder/back massage included in the pedicure ($35) The staff is nice and when I called ahead recommended I made a reservation. So when I came in I got seated right away! I've only gotten a pedicure from here and love it! I always leave feeling refreshed & moisturized! read more

My fiancé and I have been coming on and off for the last couple years. The interior is low key and they do a very nice job. I enjoy the perks of massage on legs with and without hot stone, then hands and back. It also includes paraffin during your pedicure. All the ladies are very nice and they have massage chairs. It's clean and a simple place. Today, I watched them give a family including a 3 year old a pedicure. She had a nail salon booster that included a little tub for her feet. It was so cute . My fiancé also enjoyed her services. We typically do mani & pedi. We also have tried the no chip which was a good experience. read more

My nails don't last when I get them done here. I don't know if their products are just super old or watered down but my no chip never lasts more than 4-5 days, and neither does my regular pedicure. I've never had this issue anywhere else. And on top of it, the owner has the audacity to say "be more careful" as if I did something. I don't do anything extensive or crazy with my hands. It literally starts to peel off like a sticker within a few days. I've had gel last me close to 3 weeks from other places. While the pampering here is great, the services themselves are not up to par and they're rude about fixing what they messed up to begin with. read more

First, let me say I'm not a regular nail salon person. I get pedicures in summer and manicures for vacations and special events. Summer is here so I wanted to get my feet in sandal readiness. I randomly picked Crystal Nails because it's near where I live. Boy, am I glad I did! This was the best nail salon experience I've ever had! Helen, the owner, is warm and welcoming. Sylvia provided the BEST pedicure of my life! She did a wonderfully careful job (the last place I went to cut my toe twice) and pampered me with massage - including hot stones! My no-chip manicure was also a very pampering and gentle experience. I loved it so much that I made an appointment for my next manicure. I highly recommend this salon for the kind, gentle touch and welcoming atmosphere. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable too! read more

I love coming to Crystal Nails. Free hot stone massage with any pedicure. They take their time to ensure a relaxing experience. You definitely get your money's worth at Crystal Nails! read more

I had a great experience! I've been checking out different nail salons in the area just to find one that I love. Everyone was super friendly. It was a pretty standard experience as far as a no-chip manicure goes. I was given some tips on how to make my nails stronger, which I always appreciate. The price was completely reasonable ($36) and I'm definitely gonna try a pedicure there in the upcoming weeks. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

10 out of 10. I'm conflicted because I want to rant and rave about this business but I also don't want everyone to rush there and increase my wait time! This was one of the best pedicures I've ever had and I've had a lot of them. My daughter said the same. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Most places skim on the massage but they did not. Right before I entered I said, I'd like to find a go to place to get my nails done. I think I've found my place! read more

I called for an appointment bc I needed my nails done before work and they were open. I got the best no chip mani pedi I've gotten in a minute and they did a great job massaging my feet and hands as well they're so soft now. I'll definitely recommend in the future to people and I'll be coming back. Amy is the best!!!! read more

Recently moved to the neighborhood and glad to have found this nail salon! Sylvia was Amazing , will be back soon!

I have been going to Crystal Nails for years. Helen runs a friendly and very clean shop. She is warm and professional and she remembers so many details about all of her clients. Helen does an amazing no chip mani and the well priced pedicures there include a hot stone massage and paraffin for the feet. The no chip mani includes a hand treatment while the client is under the UV lights to help protect my hands against the UV. I also have Helen do my eyebrows and she does an amazing job. My daughter's grew up going to Crystal Nails and they have great memories of time spent there. This shop and Helen are top notch and professional. My no chip mani and regular pedicure last a long time and always look great. read more

my aunt has been a customer for 8+ years and I've been going here for 2+ years. Amazing services!

My mother went into the nail salon and got a manicure and pedicure. like usual. When she paid, the owner didn't like the amount she got for a tip. she made a comment out loud in front of everyone that the tip she got wasn't enough. And told my mom that the next time she comes in she won't take care of her. That is uncalled for. And will not be getting my business. Or hers. I worked in a high end salon for 15 years, and if someone can't tip, then you just appreciate them coming to you. Sometimes people cannot pay more. And that's ok. read more

I did a no-chip mani and pedi at Crystal Nails the other evening for the first time. I don't want to rave for fear of not being able to get in next time but I love when small businesses do great work and that won out. They didn't know me from a hole in the wall but fit me in at the very last minute. I had a wonderful mani by Helen, the owner, who is talented and funny and runs a great ship. My pedi was by Hanna, also just wonderful and my nails look so good. She's a darling woman. They'll help with color if you're stuck for ideas, they are lovely to be around whether in conversation or quietness, and they both did a great job. New nail home. read more

Good work but overpriced and they have HORRIBLE attitudes, ungrateful for any tip under $20 and will pressure you into leaving what they view as a satisfactory tip. Would not recommend save your money and head elsewhere! read more

Very good work but on the flip side they have the worst attitude if tipped under 10$. Service is already pricey enough and they force you to tip. Do not recommend at all. If up to me I would give them a 0 rating. Owner was very upset and threw a pen to the ground, very unnecessary! read more

I loved coming here before, now this place is just a disappointment. The owner Helen does not know how to talk to people, her attitude is getting worse by the day. Their quality had gone down as well. They are always trying to rush you out to get to the next person. So many better places out there, do not waste your time. read more

I come here a lot and I don't know that I'll be back. I spent about $100 and less than a week later my entire manicure is bubbled and peeled off. My pedicure paint job is sub par and also looks terrible. I am on a work trip and really disappointed with the job Crystal nails did. read more

No good. The Polish had bubbles in within days it was peeling. One should expect better product/servive for the price. Stay away.

[This is a re-review because the establishment is under new management and I have not been here in ages] The number one thing that Crystal Nails "nailed" is their service and homey environment. The walls are painted in a nice color, there are pillows (and candy!), and a plethora of magazines and comfy couches. The waiting area has coffee and there are fresh flowers everywhere! Helen, the new owner, chatted about how she recently had a grand opening with "grand opening prices" (12.00 for a mani, 36 for mani/pedi, 30 for no-chip) and I had to try it!. Helen is funny and caring- in that Asian-mom sort of way! I loved how welcomed I felt. The manicure itself was a really relaxing experience! For 12.00, my hands were wrapped in hot towels, my cuticles were carefully trimmed, my nails were meticulously painted and I even received a back massage! That is an amazing deal! The manicurist, Judy (pick her!) has been working with Helen for half a decade and is super friendly. She's a mom so she instantly makes you feel comfortable and she's also a very hard worker! Judy is personable and genuine- she is careful with her tools and always made sure to ask if the towels were too hot! We actually even spoke a few words to each other in Spanish! Go to Crystal Nails if you want a relaxing experience where people take their time, are hospitable and welcoming! PS: prom and graduation special! 30.00 mani & pedi with student ID! read more

I went in a Sunday morning with no appointment. They welcomed me right in, and was in a pedicure chair within 5 minutes. Mindy did an amazing job and was super detailed. She also didn't judge my toes as I was over due for a pedi LOL. The hot stone massage, warm towel combination was superior. Highly recommend!!! the pedicure was $34 with the hot stone massage as a free add on. worth every penny. read more

I got a mani-pedi (no chip on my hands and regular on my toes) for $65 and it was beyond relaxing. Hot towels, massages, moisturizing hand masks, lovely-scented lotions, and more! The polish application was a but messy and didn't fully coat my entire nail. Other than that, the care before the polish was amazing! read more

If you are looking at your nasty nails thinking, "where is a good place to go around here? Those other places are sooo inconsistent" Then stop looking, shut it, and move your body over to Crystal Nails. They do the BEST No-Chips, their pedi's include a hot stone massage, and paraffin wax! They also give you the most relaxing back massage while your nails dry. Just go here, and stop searching. Love crystal nails. The nail techs do a great job in an appropriate amount of time. Very accommodating.

This is my go to place now for no chip mani and pedi. I used to come here many many many years ago with a different owner. I needed a mani/pedi badly and thought about returning here and giving them another try. I'm so glad I did. I believe the owner and nail techs came from a salon in the area. What you get for a no-chip mani and pedi is worth it! The pedi includes a scrub, hot stone massage, heel paraffin and hot towel treatments. You hands get a nice hand massage and a lotion gloves. The attention to details on your hands and feet are great. My manicure and pedicure last for more than three weeks. Such a wonderful experience. read more

I have been to several nail salons and most don't compare to the work they do here. Not only that, their no chip does not destroy my nails like every other place I have been to. Customer for life! read more

The ladies at Crystal nail know how to pamper their clients. I came in for a mani-pedi and lower leg wax. The salon owner took me to a small room and skillfully made my legs dolphin smooth with great speed. Then the nail technician escorted me to a pedicure spa chair. While the chair massaged my back, the technician bathed, scrubbed, exfoliated, massaged, softened and hot stoned my tired feet and lower legs. I had not expected to receive so much lavish treatment. She then skillfully worked on my toenails until they looked like shimmer jewels. The manicure was almost as luxurious, but without the warm spa bath. In total, the ladies spent 2 hours on me. It was quite the indulgence and well worth the money spent. Mani-Pedi, $40 Lower leg and toes wax $30 read more

I write this review as I am in the middle of my pedicure and I already am in love with it! Highlights were the hot stone massage and the wax placed on your heels to make them soft! I had Meg and she was very kind and fun to talk to. She also asks you if the water is okay and pressure of massage was alright which I found very thoughtful of her. I will be posting up pictures of the finish result soon! read more

Well priced for a quick mani. They don't do designs but still a good mani and pedi place :)

I literally just left and can honestly say that this is the best mani-pedi treatment I've ever had. It's been months since I finally found time. First of all, they were at first booked but as soon as they got a cancellation I got a call back in 30 minutes. My technician was super sweet and performed a callus treatment, I work in the restaurant industry so my calluses are pretty intense so I appreciated that. Then, what I wasn't expecting is that I got a leg massage + a hot stone. It's complimentary and my legs feel like new. My manicurist was super quick and nice as well, my nails look amazing. The owner should be very proud, she has a wonderful team. Thanks guys again for taking me last minute today! :) read more
