I really wanted to like this place. I made an appointment on 12/30 for NYE. I went in at the time the owner suggested I go in. I was there from 2:30-7pm for a mani/Pedi for myself, my mom and my 2 daughter's. There were only 2 people working so I was very patient. They made my mom's toe bleed during her Pedi (she is diabetic) and we still remained patient. We had asked for nail art, I walked out with none and the art done on my daughter's nails didn't even match. It was poorly done on one hand and mediocre on the other hand. If it couldn't be done just say that. A regular had walked in and was almost turned away but she refused because she said she returned when the owner told her too. Another couple walked in (that I believe had called from what I heard while sitting there) while we were still being serviced and it went downhill from there. Why take more clients when you aren't even done with the one's you have. I walked out paying $300 for 3 mani/pedi's and only one of us had nail art. I think I will stick with the place I already know and have used for years. Time is not respected here at Bunny Nails and unfortunately my time is worth a lot more than the services provided here on my first and final visit. read more

I was a frequent customer at Tang Nails, and this is the second time I've tried Bunny Nails. It is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. First they played peppa pig loudly the whole time and there were zero children present. There were three employees and two apparently do nothing. One woman did my nails albeit poorly as she took parts of my nailbed off to the point of pain for several days and the no chip chippped in several places less than a week later. The other two employees are around to annoy customers? The male talked on the phone loudly and the younger female pulled up a chair so close to my area that she was basically in my lap and then started to file her own nails over the table I was occupying. I hate this place and you should avoid it. It's a waste of money, time, and a horrible experience overall. read more

It was $14 which I thought was very affordable but feel I could have done nearly as good of a job painting as the manicurist. I asked for her to cut my nails shorter (I hadn't cut my nails in over a week) since I like my nails short for typing-she said it would look bad. I had to ask her three times and she still did not cut them very short. I think this is funny-they are my nails and I am paying for this service-I should be able to decide on the length of my nails. I came in showed the girls the picture of the nail color and nail art I wanted and she said she could do it. I waited over an hour to be seen. First girl I saw made the color way too pink but I just decided to leave it. Then it was time for the nail art part. She said she could do it and tried the black nail color for the nail art I wanted and it came out super grey. So I picked a hot pink color which the color looked great but the art part looked absolutely horrible. Do not go to this place if you want art done let alone any nail color. Came into Tang Nails & Spa on a random day as a walk in. Was greeted kindly at the door and got my pedi & mani done by Tina. She did a great job accommodating to what I wanted done. I blue and pink no chip on my nails and a nice dark blue color for my toes. She took her time and didn't rush at all. If there are no street parking, there are parking at the back. Today I had a nail emergency but was short on time and couldn't get all the way to my usual nail shop in Evanston. I recalled Tang from my friend Vikki, and was right around the corner so Tang it was. The interior is very nice, with street parking on the side. I explained what I needed and that I was short on time, and they matched me with a manicurist who was available. At first she didn't say too much except to make a recommendation which I didn't have time for, but during the course of her working on me she made light but funny conversation. I was done in my requested time and very happy with the French manicure that I got. The price was great, and while I noticed that their pedicures are $5 more than my usual salon, they have $15 mani/pedis for children under 12 or polish only for hands & feet for $10 for them. Both are great deals and since I have an 11 year old girly girl who loves to get her nails done, I think I will be back! read more

Great service, I called ahead to make sure it was okay but I walked in at 6:15pm and they were very accommodating, I needed a no chip mani and pedi and so happy they could fit me in. Kim was awesome she asked about my day and we had a great conversation. I found this cute spring mani colors on Pinterest and she helped me pick out the colors and I Love it. Perfect for my trip. Update: after coming here EVERY Friday for over 4 months to get my nails done, suddenly, they began to act as if my standing appt. was a hassle. I even was nice enough to simply get a polish change when I sense my tech was in a rush and it was like she began to always be in a rush. The last straw was when the owner called me early one Fri. afternoon to inform me that my usual tech was "busy" and I would have to see someone else. I politely told her that the recent rush jobs and treatment were not acceptable to a loyal customer and that I would not be back; she said sorry. Well, a bit later I get another call...this time from my actual tech apologizing and asking me to call her back. I do believe that the apology was sincere but just didn't understand the treatment as of lately. I learned a long time ago that people can only treat you the way you allow them to treat you. If my former tech is reading this, by chance, I accept your apology and I wish you well, but I just can't let you continue doing my nails. I would give this place zero stars if I could. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! A close relative of mine recommended me to this place and said that Helen was the best. I was super excited to give this place a try especially since it was cheaper than my go-to salon! I made an appointment for a dip powder manicure. All was good when I came in. She took off my previous manicure and started on my nails. However, i was really unhappy by the end. She had a client who came in too early for their appointment, so she rushed with me. By the end, she left me with glue/polish under my nails and all over my hands. By the time I got home, I realized that she had only partially sealed my thumb and I was even more upset! The last straw is when I bumped my nail against my door and my nail cracked!!! I was in shock. This has never happened with dip powder, so it obviously wasn't done correctly. I went back the next day to tell Helen what happened. She gave me my money back but did not apologize nor offer to fix my nail. I am SOOO disappointed. I regret trying this place and will go back to Salon Xpression, which is 5 mins down the road in Skokie. Very impressed with the customer service and quality! I came in as a walk-in and surprisingly they took me and i only had to wait about 10 minutes. It is recommended you make an appointment though because they tend to be very busy. Prices are VERY reasonable. My total was $55 for acrylic take off, a pedicure, and no chip manicure. I also had to have 2 cracked nails fixed with an acrylic overlay, and then I had a design on two fingers. At first the design wasn't coming out how I wanted it, so we did have to change it a little, but they were very patient and did not "catch an attitude" when I kept saying it didn't look how I wanted it to. There is also spa options, waxing, lip, brows, and Brazilian etc. The ladies are sweet and do their work well, a younger woman took care of me . Unfortunately they have no website, but I suggest calling. If you are worried about their ability to speak English, you not be. This place was nice and I was satisfied. Such a cute and chic salon! The interior is white and just makes you feel comfy. Called a week early to book appointments for 10 services (Girl Scouts party) which included manicures, pedicures, no chip manis, color change and no chip removal/other small things. They were EXTREMELY accommodating especially because they had to hold off on business for 2.5 hours and only take care of us!! The owner of the salon (I think she is the owner) was so sweet and didn't give us any trouble when paying at the end of everyone. Believe it or not the total came out to only about $150-160 after all this. I was expecting it be more costly. SO happy with the service and the price is extremely reasonable. $12 for mani and $30 for both. No chip was either $25 or $30 but you can never go wrong with those. I recently visited this salon to get a french tip mani/pedi. The salon is modernized , very clean with beautiful decor. The atmosphere is amazing, quiet and relaxing. The nail tech Lynn was phenomenal. I have really bad cuticles so she took her time and made sure my cuticles were trimmed properly and that my nails were filed to the same shape and length I desired.
