The lead supervisor/scheduling agent has demonstrated a willingness to be argumentative, abusive, and threatening. Here is the back story. I did not end up hiring this company because I had a dispute with their driver, David. He sent me a text approximately two and a half hours before our meet time saying they wanted to add a third mover at an increased rate of $65 more per hour and asking to meet early. I emphatically said I did not want a third mover, but I acquiesced on the time and agreed to meet them early. When they arrived at 2:09 I met them at the gate and we traveled to my storage unit. I noticed there were three movers in the truck, which left me annoyed. I simply did not trust their word that they would not try to charge for the third mover. Due to breach of contract on their part (the extra mover), I called off the move; I did not want three strangers traipsing through my new place. After saying the move was off, I drove around the corner and immediately called my credit card company; I was on hold for several minutes. When my credit card company came on the line, I was told the moving company had charged a cancellation fee, which I disputed with my credit card company. If that had been the end of it, I would not be leaving this review. Later, on the day of the move, and with having had no contact since I told them I didn't want to do the move, the lead mover David sent a message at 5 p.m. that said, "Sorry." I ignored it. Soon after, he sent a sexually explicit message that said, "I have a big stiffy" and included a smiley face icon. This left me rattled and upset. I immediately called the customer service line. The lead supervisor said she would get to the bottom of it. She called the next day, and, unbeknownst to me, she had the driver on a three-way call. I realized as the conversation progressed that the driver was on the line. That left me feeling kind of violated. From what I could understand, he was trying to imply he did the move. I was understandably flustered and aghast, as I had spent the last eighteen hours moving my own stuff in a pickup truck in ninety-five-degree heat. I had also had to scramble to find other movers to move the heavy items like mattresses and bed-frames. During this call on the day after the move was supposed to have taken place, David's supervisor (a woman who answers the phones) accused me of potentially having some behind-the-scenes deal with him. I was kind of grossed out by that implication, but I simply refuted it. I told her I had plenty of witnesses at my new home that could vouch for it that I had been moving all my belongings solo, box by box. She continued to stand up for her driver, and at one point said his text was an auto-correct that was meant to say, "I'll be there in a jiffy." I was livid. First, auto-correct doesn't work that way, and, second, there was no reason he would be meeting me. Between the victim-blaming and accusations, I understandably got mad and eventually hung up. The supervisor's boss Shawn, who is supposedly the owner, called me later that day. He apologized, admitted the driver was out of line, and asked if he could pay for my other move. I was understandably irritated because I had mostly done the move myself at that point and was a few minutes away from meeting the second moving company, which was only moving a few items. I took his offer and wanted to drop the matter. Their company asked for receipts from the other movers. I sent them that day. This was on July 13th. On Friday the 20th I still had not heard back from them, so I sent a reminder text, asking for contact from their company. On Tuesday the 24th I called the customer service line and asked for Shawn's number. I was told by the very rude female supervisor that Shawn was on vacation. Between this woman talking over me and being generally very loud and hard to talk to, I simply asked that their company follow through with what they said they would do. This is when things got bad. She accused me of being "some truck driver" and "a hustler." I was mortified. I said I'm a math teacher, and she implied I was a horrible teacher. I lost my temper and said I was done and I was just going to post the review and be done with it. She said her legal department would sue me for slander. After threatening me with a lawsuit, she went on to say words that left me chilled. She said, "I mean, we know where you live." I was irritated and horrified that she would say something like that. Soon after, my school year started and I got busy with school. The payment Shawn agreed to send to cover the other movers never arrived and their company hasn't contacted me. I am posting this review today because I finally have the time to do so. I would advise against using them as movers because they do not follow through with agreements and their office staff person is excessively rude, dismissive, condescending, and threatening. read more
