Terrifying Moving Experience -- Stay Away This was hands-down the worst move of my life. What should have taken 2-3 hours turned into a 10+ hour nightmare ending at 12:30 AM. One of the movers repeatedly pressured me for more money, invented extra fees, and even brought a child to help him move heavy furniture -- completely unsafe and unacceptable. He disappeared mid-move for over an hour, spoke down to me, and left his pants at my apartment (which he came back for late at night -- terrifying). I hired movers to make things easier, but ended up more involved and stressed than if I had done it myself. The company's response to all of this was dismissive and their refund offer insulting. I honestly couldn't be happier. I hired this company to help me pack majority of my home as well as move everything into my new home. I had no idea what to expect since I never hired anyone to pack my items...but I was happily surprised. Everyone was super nice and hard working and I couldn't be happier. Some things to point out, I shopped around and got quotes from 5 companies and clean cut movers came in as the lowest. They were super easy to work with and very responsive. From beginning to end (including drive time and a quick lunch break), they were able to pack and move majority of my home (they did more than I expected) in about 9-10 hours and the final cost was a bit lower than I expected it to be. I will definitely hire this company again and will be recommending them to all my friends and family. read more

My mother moved on 11/4/23 and the movers were 4 hours late. Storage unit size was 10x30ft. Prior to booking the move, we advised we needed a FULL size vehicle for a ONE TIME move. Movers arrived in a 1/2 size moving truck. After waiting 4 hours, the movers stated that they wanted to be paid in full NOW prior to touching the unit. Not what we expected and plain out disgustingly rude. Had to negotiate to pay 1/2 now and 1/2 after. Mind you they wanted their check of $1500, that was already starting off wrong. If this is how they treat military veterans and their family, they should not be in business. The job took two trips. They movers brought ZERO blankets, ZERO bubble wrap and just threw all the furniture in the truck. All my fragile boxes were crushed by furniture or the way they stacked the boxes. The time the last trip was finished at 9pm, it was dark and I couldn't see half of damage to my furniture tell the morning. They also used my dolly from storage and didn't return it. This is an AWFUL moving company with the WORST movers. Good luck dealing with Jack and his staff. They make you SIGN a waiver that damages are $0.60 per pound! What a joke!!! All of my family's furniture from deployments, being over seas, my belated father's wood desk, broken and chipped. Jake said they're "minor" damages. No customer service, no compassion, no communication, and they will damage your furniture and not refund, discount or care to help you once they're done. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. read more

So thankful I found these amazing movers! Was super stressed last minute trying to find movers to move me from my LA upstairs Apartment to my new OC apartment & was blessed to find clean cut movers. The price was way lower than other moving companies I called & the movers were very helpful, fast, & friendly. They even helped me take some of my things from one storage to another with no problem. They also came w a huge moving storage attached to a big truck and apparently I got small moving storage haha not small at all I am never hiring another moving company again. I found my fave. Jake,the owner is a problem solver!!! USsed them in May, despite l some misunderstanding, Jake came thru with flying colors. My husband say that they went from a 1star to a 5 star performance!!! The contact was with 3 different people.Was quoted a flat rate price with a 3 hour minimum.When job was done the price was higher for the flat rate.Not good.Should have been told up front on how many moving blankets we would need prior to the move.Some boxes in the pod were smashed in by other items being staked on top of each other.Would not recommend this company. read more

These guys are legit! They showed up on time, with the utmost professionalism, and most importantly, ready to work! I could tell right away these guys were mentally and physically disciplined, principled, respectful, all about customer service, with a strong work ethic. The moving company I used for years progressively got worse throughout the years and yet more expensive, go figure. Typical worst-case scenario - lazy or hungover, running the clock, smoke breaks every 20 minutes - the worst. Clean Cut Movers, specifically Jake and Dana, reset the bar. They hustled loading stuff from my storage unit (which btw was on the 3rd floor, and the elevator was broken) to my upstairs apartment, a quick stop to pick up a desk, and then unloaded everything in my new upstairs apartment in approximately 3.5 hours. Unbelievably impressive. When Jake found out I couldn't get a box spring delivered that evening, he volunteered to pick it up for me so I didn't have to sleep with my mattress on the floor and I could get a good night's sleep. I did tip them very well, but still, he didn't have to do that. And what moving company have you ever used that even cares like that? It just doesn't happen. James and Jared went out of their way to make my move extremely comfortable! They were on time and so very careful with all of my things. Feels to me there are just a few very important qualities: RELIABILITY- this starts with responsive communication and continues with showing up on time for your move and then having the crew be top notch. Started on a Saturday morning. Gustavo's crew was on time. Most of the house was already boxed up and ready for them load the boxes on the truck and to move the larger items. They also needed to pack up my garage, which one side had a TON of random stuff. So I had to stand there and go "that goes, that doesn't, that goes, that goes". You know how...when you hire a crew, you're worried that you'll basically have to babysit them, thinking they'll be on their phones not really working? Nope, not Gustavo's crew. They (5 crew) did my entire 2,400 sq ft house in 3 hours. Got everything into two trucks. Then unloaded at the destination. I had last second birthday dinner plans with a friend from out of town, and worried they wouldn't finish in time. They were done 3 hours early. I'll be moving again in a year or so, and hope Gustavo is still working here. The prices were fair. I got estimates from 5 different moving companies, and they were the most fair. Would absolutely, positively hire this company again. And yes, these guys were clean cut movers! read more

We used this company after someone on our neighborhood community facebook page said they had recently used them. Setting up the time was super easy- a quick text and we were set. Jake seemed nice and everything. As the date approached, I did have to follow up to confirm and get the time of arrival. We were told between 9-10am for our 4 bd house. Seemed a little late, but what do I know. We had requested 4 movers. A couple showed up at 9:50, and a couple more showed up later. They started promptly while we were also moving some things over. About an hr or so in, things started going awry. One of the movers went into what I assume was diabetic shock and collapsed on the street. The police and ambulance came and thank goodness he was ok. But we were down one mover. A replacement came later. In the meantime, although the team worked hard, they were smoking near all our stuff. I texted Jake and they stopped, but they were still smoking in the moving truck (still by our stuff) and our house smelled like smoke. When they got to our new house, they drove over our neighbor's lawn and ripped it up (still waiting for the reimbursement for that). They majorly scratched our washing machine and $5000 treadmill. They failed to hook up our washer correctly (even after assuring us it was ready to be used) so it flooded our laundry room, sending water through the first floor ceiling. All in all, the move took 10 hours (and they didn't completely reassemble some of our furniture, but it was late). I also find the name of the company ironic as none of the team pictured here looked anything like the team that did our move. While the team was nice, I would not recommend this company. read more

My family and I were moving Orange County to the Valley. There were many movers with great ratings/reviews, but Clean Cut Movers fit our budget and also had a great reputation. Working with Jake to set a date was very easy and we were so happy they were available on our move date. The move guys showed up a little later than anticipated (only 30min), but they were in constant contact with me, letting me know their updated status. Communication with Bryce, Quentin and Sergio was one of the best parts of our day. We always knew what was going on and why. That level of responsibility and communication means way more to us than a little tardiness. It honestly gave us more time to get last minute stuff ready for them. The move itself was fast and professional. The guys were personable, friendly, and gave a great deal of care to all our belongings. They also made a great team under Quentin's direction.
