This place is the absolute best!! My car broke down on the way to Sacramento international airport, engine misfire, after going to 4 locations in Redding no one could help us but Strong Automotive saved the day! They fit us in, made us coffee, fixed the car in just 2 hours (they had to stay an hour late) and got us back on the road in no time. To fix an engine misfire is quite expensive, we were struggling with money and they must've picked up on that because they took $70 off our receipt!!!! So kind and trustworthy. I have never been treated with such respect and honesty in a car shop. They showed us exactly what was wrong so we knew we could trust them. Lovely place with lovely hardworking people. We are from So. Ca. and were camping in Old Station and our 1989 Van developed a problem. After we located the needed part we took it to Strong Automotive for installation and there was another problem diagnosed which would take hours to fix but Mike was going to do his best to get it done that day. We were going to have to rent a car which would have been a problem since we had our two dogs with us. Mike was so compassionate and generous that he loaned us his personal vehicle for the day. Honesty and Fantastic service! After our car wouldn't start suddenly, a local shop told me I needed an new alternator. Shocked by this because our car only has 40,000 miles on it, we wanted a second opinion. Mike at Strong Automotive went over and above in service and also tested our car many times the next day. He found nothing wrong! He concluded something had been left on in the car too long and drained the battery which once jumped then got recharged. We've driven the car for several weeks now even out of town several times and have had zero issues! Mike is amazing, and his shop is top notch!! My husband had bought a new truck a few months back, and it had some issues but we didn't know how extensive they were. Mike got us in and out, had the throttle body sent out and put back in the truck by the very next day. We couldn't afford to pay the $400+ bill so he took $ upfront and let me make payments that fit my payday schedule and budget until the truck was paid off! Now that is true customer service and realize that not everyone has extra money lying around like we should for unexpected car repairs!! Wow we came here for a second opinion after going to autozone and being told we needed a new alternator for our Audi A4. Michael the owner, came out and ran a battery test and then 3 alternator tests and determined in about 10 minutes that the alternator was fine and the battery needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and in 30 min it had arrived and he replaced it free of labor charge because he said "you just pop it in so I don't charge labor on battery replacements". Suggested we go to the bowling alley behind the shop while we wait and we had time for one game before coming back to our new battery! Would recommend this place for sure. read more

I am thrilled with the incredible job that Strong's has done to bring my 2003 Nissan pickup back up to "like-new" condition. Mike and Stephanie are AWESOME!!! My car broke down on I-5 after I took it to the asshats at Meineke for a routine oil change. Apparently they forgot to put the oil cap back on, and they also forgot to replace the airfilter after removing it. Oil was EVERYWHERE...under the hood, exterior, and under the car. Mike provided a quote over the phone to replace the entire AC system on my 2005 Honda CRV. It was the best quote out of 4 I received. They replaced the entire AC system and did not raise the price upon completion. It works great and I even got a 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty because they are a NAPA authorized repair shop and I went with Synchrony credit to finance the repairs at no interest if I pay it off within 6 months.
