They also have a website and a mobile app where you can sign-up for classes and make changes if needed. -- A sense of community is what makes Fuse45 stand out from other gyms. I didn't know what to expect other than an intense workout, and that's exactly what I received! The class I attended was split into two smaller groups. One went with Mike and one with Peter. I went with Peter and my workout included cardio (with a stationary bike, rowing machine, ski machine, and jumping jacks), lunges, upper body using a medicine ball and ropes, and a ton of squats. I liked how we kept switching exercises so I didn't get bored at all. I also liked that Peter took into account injuries of those in our group and gave them alternative exercises that were right for their situation... trainers / instructors don't always do that. The folks in Mike's group (including my aunt, uncle, cousin, brother, and a few friends) were all out of breath and dripping sweat by the end of their workout. I could tell that Mike's reputation is to be tough and kind of a smart-ass, but it works. He's a huge motivator for those in the gym. I loved the energy at AOS and I would totally workout here if I lived in Michigan full time. I was a little nervous after the workout that I'd be too sore to stand up at my sister's wedding that evening, but I felt great and had a fabulous time at the wedding... The things I like most are: - Dawn uses a variety of workout methods including the TRX band system, exercise, ball, free weights, and other. The TRX and exercise ball work hundreds of muscles that I didn't even know I had! - Dawn seems to have a sixth sense of what I can and can't handle -- even the first time she worked with me -- and remembers where I left off last time. - She's very careful that I don't use the wrong form so I avoid injury. I find it interesting that she works with people of all ages (I'm in low-50's) including folks in their 80's so this gives me comfort.
