She did just that!! She is amazing with my kids and ALL the kids. Since then, I have gone to other LTF's kids academy, and I can say TROY is one of the best. The staff goes above and beyond... it's very organized, unlike some of the other club. TROYS ACADEMY is our top favorite! My kids throw a fit when we go to other clubs. One thing that stands out the most is the way they handle the kids' misbehaving at the busiest times (and obviously not busy times). Very calm yet firm and still loving. Nothing makes me smile more when I see the staff deal with a hurt child. Again, showing so much love and care. Doug, Rena ,Taylor Facca, Hana, Bianca and Katherine are all amazing! LTF TROY is so lucky to have a wonderful staff. One thing is I wish the hours were longer on weekends! I wanted to rave about the summer camp. Again, leaving my kids all day freaked me out. They did a great job and made my work day run so smoothly, knowing my kids were well cared for. The front desk is always friendly. Jordan is so personable. Great asset to lifetime! The locker room is well maintained! Unfortunately, there are SOO many pig members, but I think the staff does a good job keeping up! Sue [ I think that's her name] is a hard worker. Towel desk employees are always smiling and welcoming! Same as cafe.. Upstairs is always clean and maintained. I am a signature memeber, and I really enjoy the classes. Gerald, Marcus, Hilary, Kelly and Erin are great teachers!! I never go to regular classes anymore. Although, I miss Jessie!! He was a great GM. It's very sad to see he is gone! I'm honestly pretty upset with how Lifetime as a brand has changed. Customer service? Gone. The feeling of inclusivity? Gone. It's like they no longer care about their members. I get that they're saving some money by not being open 24/7, but it's still a huge letdown. We've tried the Canton location multiple times, but there's always something broken or out of order. So we went to the Troy location, only to find that our family membership doesn't work here--only Novi and Canton. After upgrading, my son, who loves basketball, was disappointed to see that half the courts are now taken over by pickleball. Now they're even getting rid of basketball courts altogether. When I asked, I was told that "basketball doesn't make us money." Isn't that why we're paying $275 a month for a family membership? Today, after upgrading, we got kicked off the basketball court within an hour because of some family event. Apparently, they have arts and crafts tables in the gym on Saturdays. We were told we could come back after 8pm, but why did we drive 55 minutes from Ann Arbor for that? There's other space they could've used, but I'm guessing that's being rented out for more money, while the members are pushed aside for things like pickleball. Honestly, the Las Vegas locations are great, but the Michigan ones are a mess. I've been harassed since day one at Canton. It's frustrating because, just like 24-Hour Fitness, Lifetime is drifting away from what made it great--caring about the members. Eventually, I think they'll learn, especially when they start closing down locations, just like 24-Hour did. I just hope they realize that the people--the members--are what keeps their revenue flowing. Plus spend some money on this club first, everything is old and falling apart..... Maybe one day, pickleball will fade out like racquetball did. But until then, here's an idea: Troy could convert those racquetball courts into basketball courts. That would actually make sense!

This is solved from their heart rate approach. You have two choices to begin from the rower or the treadmill. Talk to a coach about your goals and they will guide you accordingly. If you are super competitive this might be the place for you. You can earn splat points, try to stay in the red the longest of the group or compete with yourself in the app. I think this is an amazing place for all levels of fitness. They have really innovative ways to keep members engaged throughout with gifts, pajama days, workout hell week. The coach's are helpful. If they see you doing something incorrect they will assist. The music playlist is pretty good! It's loud so you will have to put your listening skills to use, if you can't sweat, run, row and listen. This might not be a place for you. Another cool feature they have a really awesome functional app. You can purchase merch, see your progress & schedule your next class! Even if someone walks behind me you can't even see their head. I'm on the rower and you can on see me and the wall. I have over 50k of followers and I usually record my workouts at gyms since I go so many places. Definitely won be posting this one. So if you want to record this isn't the place Troy specifically! Their pool and racquetball courts are a big draw for many looking for a fully equipped gym. They've made some updates the past few years including an area that goes beyond your typical equipment - along with the class offerings that go with it. But their women's bathroom is in desperate need of an overhaul. The doors don't close all the way (they are hanging poorly and the lock doesn't fully reach across), the stalls are so dated, it isn't always clean - it feels very institutional. They need to reinvest in their equipment - having already started by updating their free weights. I'd like to see better maintenance on their aerobic machines upstairs. No pics allowed - I'm a strict rule follower when it comes to that one.

My son met the 42-inch height requirement and has safely enjoyed similar attractions before, yet we were still made to feel uncomfortable and singled out throughout our visit. What upset me the most was watching my son cry after getting hurt, and instead of showing concern or compassion, staff looked at him, walked away, and laughed with another coworker. As a parent, that was heartbreaking and completely unacceptable to witness. No child should ever be treated with such disregard, especially when they are visibly upset and crying. Throughout the visit, my children both older and younger were watched excessively, which made us feel targeted instead of welcomed. As a Black family, the treatment we experienced raised serious concerns about bias and discrimination. I fully understand the importance of safety rules, but rules should be enforced respectfully and equally for everyone. Families come to these facilities to feel safe and enjoy time together, not to feel humiliated, ignored, or judged. I will be contacting the district and administration for both facilities to formally report these experiences and seek accountability. I hope steps are taken to ensure no other family or child is made to feel this way again.
