I understand that you're "suppose" to clean down your bed after you use it but who is actually checking this? Is this even health code standards that employees "assume" your tanning bed is clean? I have belonged to many tanning facilities throughout the years and also belonged to planet fitness years ago and just signed up again and apparently rules and standards have changed. I always wipe my bed down top to bottom, hand rails, buttons and all the nooks and cranny's because let's be honest tanning beds are filled with germs and all of the "things". When I was assigned to bed 7 today I started cleaning the bed and noticed right away it was still not even wiped down from the person before me. Well I continued to spray the bed down and clean it anyway. While cleaning all the major spots I noticed the inside and top parts were filthy with lotion smears up and down every part of the plastic. On the ledges on the inside of the bed there was hair and dust. The control panel where you hit start stop ect. with buttons were filthy. By now the bed automatically turned on because I had been cleaning the bed still instead of getting ready to enjoy my 12 minutes of tanning. I then had to go to the front desk to have them start the bed over. When I came back I finished sanitizing and cleaning because I wasn't finished. The part of the bed where you pull it down once you get in was probably the most disgusting and disturbing part. My own wipe that I brought was filthy and it took me 3 Clorox wipes to finally get a clean wipe. To me that means these beds do not get cleaned or sanitized to a standard. Is there a standard here or is it "Tan at your own risk of catching a disease?" When I approached the front desk before my tan when I had to ask them to start the bed over I asked the employee what the conduct of cleaning a bed was here and he said we only check 1 time an hour if they "need" to be cleaned. Is this protocol? If so that's fine and I just won't be using your tanning beds and want to make it aware to other people because this is not sanitary at all. I wouldn't mind having your policy and procedures for cleaning the tanning beds. That way I'm aware of your rules.

Wonderful barre studio in the heart of Novi near the intersection of Novi and Grand River. I am…read moresomeone who has experimented with many types of workouts and have had to pivot due to injuries, but barre has quickly become a staple workout routine for me. It is challenging while also mostly low impact and you will use a combo of bands, balls, weights, the barre itself and other equipment which truly helps to shape and tone the body. I was a bit skeptical at first about this workout as I prefer high intensity and drowning in sweat = a workout well done but this workout still manages to help me break a sweat, and challenge my body and tone me in ways other exercises have been unable to touch. Also importantly, the instructors can help you to modify any exercises if you have existing injuries. There is a workout here for everyone: classic is great, especially if you are new to barre; empower is great if you crave a high intensity workout with a barre twist and reform is great for strengthening your core with Pilates type movements and resistance bands being utilized. The work outs are similar to each other but each work out session is unique which keeps things interesting plus the high energy music played is awesome to keep you engaged and your heart rate pumping. The owner Bridget is warm and welcoming and has amazing instructors here - Ani and Jade to name a few are wonderful. Bridget keeps things exciting here by planning fun events, offering fun challenges that can lead to prizes and / or discounts, and celebrating the holidays and even offering little bonuses such as a eucalyptus towel to cool down after workouts. The environment here is very positive and overall most of the attendees are decently friendly. Bridget also stocks very cute tavi noir and toe Sox along with some of the cutest yoga / barre / Pilates apparel I've seen! I love shopping here also for my workout clothes and discovered the brand Beyond Yoga thanks to Bridget curating some epic workout styles here! The only con is I do wish more classes were offered after 6 pm on the weekdays and adding one early afternoon class as opposed to mornings on the weekends would also make this place even better for me, as the classes can occasionally fill up so you do have to reserve a class sometimes in advance depending on the time slot. The staff is understanding if something comes up last minute and if you call to let them know you cannot make a class you intended to which is very helpful also. Check Pure Barre out, it is a great workout you should try if you have not already!

Bridget is considerate always offering fruit, water, and other treats to her students. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely care about their students. They are willing to provide modifications and hands-on adjustments, which are appreciated. Their energy is contagious and they are so positive. Each instructor comes with their own skill set. With that, they each bring in their background of dancing, athletics, teaching, and the corporate world. Every time I walk into the studio I am greeted with a friendly warm hello and a smiley face. I have met some of the strongest, kindest, and most thoughtful women. Finally, I have had a membership for two years and it has been a game-changer. PBN is a part of my life and I am so thankful!

If it is your first time visiting, the front desk team member greets you, shows you around, and helps you get adjusted to your bike. The instructor also came by to introduce herself, which was really nice! Cyclebar has free shoes that you can borrow (or you can bring your own), and plenty of locker space for every person. I believe there were a total of 42 bikes in the studio, and I think it says a lot when probably 75% of them were full at 5:45 am a couple days after Christmas! The instructor, Nicole, was an amazing instructor. She gave you instructions for what speed and heaviness your bike should be at, but never pressured anyone! At the very end, she showed the leaderboard so you could see where you were at compared to the rest of the class (note: you can opt out of being on the leaderboard when you check in), which gave me a lot of motivation at the end! Overall, this was a really great workout! You could make it easier or harder based on your skill level and how hard you wanted to push yourself that day. I'd highly recommend giving Cyclebar a try)

My wife and I both booked a 5:45am class through Class Pass on a Tuesday morning. The class was about 1/2 full. We got a tour of the building and we're shown how to clip in to the bike, adjust the bike, and what weights were available at our bikes. The personalization and hospitality is absolutely 10/10 from this location. The space is small, but it never felt crowded. It's a bit cold in there, but you warm up eventually. The music was rocking, our instructor Nicole was very motivating, and the workout was intense! I was very impressed with my experience and will likely return for another awesome workout. I'm curious about how fast classes fill up in the afternoon/night though since this is such a great location.

They have reformers, towers, and more! Game changer. The classes are small. At Club Pilates I was in a class of 10 versus 4 - 2 people. You get personalized attention to correct your form. I tried so many classes and different instructors to see what I like and who I like. Really.... I love all of it! From the group tower classes to the personalized attention I get in the semi-privates, I decided this was the studio for me. The are a handful of options when it comes to classes per month. There is a monthly option that comes with X classes depending on the level you sign up for. You can also purchase classes in a 10 pack. This applies to semi-private and group classes. That's what I went with since there is more flexibility. The 10 packs expire in 1 year. I'll be using them up a lot sooner and it gives you a discounted price compared to the drop in rate.
