I kept searching until I connected with Tevin from Max Protection Moving. From the very beginning, he was polite, professional, and extremely clear in his communication. He explained the ETA, answered all my questions about the truck size and what would be needed, and gave me a flat price upfront. They were even able to accommodate my scheduling requests for both pickup and drop-off. I also sent pictures of my storage unit so they could better understand my needs, which helped lock in the details. Even though I was nervous handling this move by myself and booking a company online through Yelp, Tevin's professionalism gave me the confidence to move forward with them. When moving day came, Joe, the co-owner, arrived with his team, and I immediately felt at ease. Joe is not only professional and efficient, but also incredibly charming, strong, and reassuring. It's amazing how quickly one can fill a space. I was at full capacity. Whenever I have a project, Yelp, has been wonderful in getting me the assistance needed. Elite movers was the first (and forever my only) company to request lots of pictures with all cupboards open, an approximation of cost and duration, and customer service that took the time to answer all questions. The move day went off without incident. My crew consisted of four strong fellas-my crap being packed left and right, furniture being moved, boxes toted off, things I wasn't taking headed for the trash etc. They were all done by 1:30 or so and headed to the new place so I stopped for pizza/soda for them. All boxes unloaded and furniture placed where requested. Elite finished their job by about 3:30. I like them less now. The remaining boxes to unpack seem to have multiplied in the garage like bunnies but at least they are in one place. Great value for the money and no stress with packing things safely! There was an initial misunderstanding about the scope of work, but the adjustment to the bid was completely understandable and more than fair. Anita handled the office management, including the estimate, scheduling and follow-up. Frank oversees the moves in the field. Chris headed up our move, with Ray and Eric as his crew. Frank joined in later to help complete the job. Everyone worked hard and effectively. It was great to see how they came along side Eric, the youngest and least experienced, to make sure he was properly positioning himself to move the item safely and effectively, ensuring that he wouldn't hurt himself in the process.
