Over a year ago after having been left the burden of handling a friends storage room after he was gone. I first met Richard in person when visiting the ofc to let him know who I was and what I was doing. Richard was friendly, polite, cooperative and accommodating. A pleasure of a person to work with. I've personally had nothing but good experiences with Richard. I would view his flexibility with other renters as a positive; however, I'm sure there are those whom take advantage in which when a person gives them an inch, they take a mile, thus causing others to suffer. Presently in need of renting another storage unit, Richard's place was the first to come to mind. Moving from another stg facility (was the closest stg to my location) after just 1.5 Months (1510) because EM upper mgmt and staff are themselves burglarizing units in their California facilities (don't know about their Utah facilities) and subsequently refusing to cooperate with police or turn over video surveillance and gate entry/exit logs. I hope others beware before they STORE there at EM being run by thieves who at move in trick us into giving them the lock code or key to our unit 'in order to keep a key in the office should you ever lose or forget your key' [enabling them to later burglarize]. After having experienced bad landlords, etc. I recommend others always check references, contact and/or talk with past or present tenants/residents, whether a stg room, residential or commercial rental. And I'm leaving Richard a well earned/deserved 5 star rating based on my positive personal experiences. read more

Had no choice but to move out last month the facility is just charging a arm and a leg to rent there everytime I turn around im paying more and more each month they don't even have a gate to enter we were using the exit gate because they are to cheap to replace the one that's broke very unsafe situation and the managment there keeps closing the place when ever they decides to changing gate hours and closing hours for repairs to the building that is not needed whats needed is the gate fixed so u don't get hit coming in when people are coming out they charge more than any place around they should have that fixed by now dont they have insurance for that reason they charge us for insurance even if we dont want it makes me question what insurance they really have there because insurance should have fixed that gate already they are just a rip off u come home from work to find place closed no warning or prior notice and its to work around the office lady schedule which is wrong you pay for those hours of operation and access to place they switch when ever they decide to on you not very reliable at all to have access to your belongings like u should just over priced and not very reliable at all alot of cheaper prices and bigger units around town at other storages watch out they charge more every month u are there its just to much money for the space u get and the sizes are not even the right size they say they are so I'm now at Mary's behind wallgreens much more space for the lower price they charge read more

I'm new to yelp but decided I needed to make a review on this place , I want to begin by saying First Torrie the manager that works there I'm positive is a drug addict I know the guy that supplies her meth to her that explains her wishy washy attitude she always has with other customers Ive talked to that have hade witnessed a very bad attitude including myself I ended up moving my stuff out after I seen several shady things by her for example she entered a unit with some what looked like homeless people on bikes and closed there storage door half way and you could hear lighters flickering and smoke coming out of the unit I won't keep my valuables at a place being ran by a manager using meth , I've also seen her cutting a couple different locks on my isle and going into the units and came out with items and put them in what looked like an empty non rented unit then I've witnessed someone I've never seen before on my isle come open the same unit she put items in about 30 min later and take the stuff and leave with it it just seemed suspicious to me, I feel they need to drug test her if she's going to be running the place I moved my valuables out I don't trust that place at all with someone like her running the place read more

I have a friend who had a couple of Storage Units at this facility. They recently found out that all their stuff had been sold off at an auction. They had kept in contact with the facility and had made payment arrangements. They had family issues and had other things come up so they had a lot on their mind the past couple of months and had forgotten to call again to advise them of their situation. When they finally remembered and called they found out they had lost everything they owned. The company claims they tried reaching them. However, they were never actually notified in writing that all their possessions they own in this world were being auctioned off on a certain date. These are good people who were going through some very rough times and now to find out that they have lost everything as you can imagine has completely devastated them. They are willing to do whatever possible to get their items back BUT they are unsure how to go about doing this now that the company claims everything is gone, including their family photos, important paper work etc......You may want to think twice before using this facility, especially if you happen to get in a situation like my friends got into it financially. read more

I have been a customer of Storage outlet Escondido for six months now. I wanted to take a minute and leave a review, so I can help other people make the right decision when they are looking for a storage unit. Richard and the entire staff always greet me with a smile and always help me reach my storage needs without questions or complaints. For example, I desperately needed a 10 x 15 storage unit 6 months ago and there were none available. Richard promised he would call me when one came up, and one week later, I got the call. Here we are six months down the road and I needed to downsize to a 5 x 5 unit. There was one available, he did the paperwork quickly and kept what could have been a bunch of extra fees to a minimum. I went to Storage Outlet by mistake, and ended up as a customer. Was pleasantly surprised by how professional and friendly the staff is, and were extremely helpful. We toured the location, looked at several size spaces and all of them were clean and well-maintenanced. The staff was not only on a first-name basis with most of the clients they encountered, they went out of their way to assist them if needed. I chose to store my things here because of these reasons, as I felt reassured that they would be kept safe until I move, and can switch to another size if needed. They are very flexible. I got a full tour was explained how everything worked so I am renting here I love this place it is always super clean! I also noticed the security is great here , I've had other storages and they are nothing compared to this place the cameras made me feel good. Great customer service by the co-manager Andy. i came in with my family asking about prices and he was very happy to assynt not only me but my parents with any questions we might have. The manager explained the entire process and he was went out of his way in order to give us the best fit for what we needed. I very much enjoy the 50 percent off discount i just wish they had it for the bigger outside units.
