Everything has to be properly done. You have to enter you entry code or they will ask you to go and do it. They want you out before closing; they will remind you that you only have half an hour left. Don't even dare complain; because they will end your contract at a moments notice. The owners/operators are extremely difficult about following every single rule down to its bone. I highly recommend you go to the many competing storage business around the San Diego County. There are many other owners that appreciate the business of there clientele, and won't let little inconsistencies ruin that. Overall: STAY AWAY!

I got booted cause I was late leaving too many times, this was on me and they were reasonable with the accomodations for vacating. The upstairs is even clean. You move your stuff into the storage and of course it gets dusty I can understand that but the infestation of rats is over the top. It was completely unsanitary in my storage unit when I moved my stuff out. Not only that I had throw away so many memories because they were covered with rat poop. There was also evidence of termites throughout the unit. But to be honest termites and spiders and bugs were my least concern. Of all the storage units I've ever had in my life I have never had a problems with rats. I do not have any food or anything that would attract them to my stuff. I didn't even want to get into my car after touching all my stuff that was just covered in this nasty stuff. A shower was the only thing I could think of. Unfortunately I would definitely not recommend this place unless you don't care about your items and don't care about rat poop all over your stuff. I would also say The lady that helps me when I came to move out was not very informative. Renting a U-Haul has never been such a pain. You usually walk in get the keys walk out check the truck and you're on the way. It took over an hour for this process. Do not rent a U-Haul from them. So after this long process I go to my storage unit to find it full of rat poop let me tell you moving out was not a fun thing. Also they don't have an elevator. I definitely give this place two thumbs down and I hope I don't get any diseases from touching and breathing in that toxic air. I should have taken photos, But I didn't even want to touch my phone. I hope the stuff that I did keep doesn't get me sick as well.

When we first moved in, our lives were very hectic and we had a small issue that was a big deal to me. I had to leave town the next day, but still I called them. I was upset and didn't know how it could be resolved while I was gone. They instantly came up with a solution and took care of it right away. They followed up right when they said they would and have been extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. I've only been in the office once, months ago, but I stopped in again recently to ask a question and they instantly said, "ah yes, for unit ..." I'm not sure if they really remember every tenant or if they have some system of identification when you enter the property, but I've been extremely impressed by the customer service and how well this place is run! It feels secure, friendly and clean. We are very happy we chose this location!

Let me know how many days I had before a late charge was going to be incurred. Even followed up later in the day at the time that I requested and called me to assist me in filling out the paperwork that I was able to pay my storage with. He sent me paperwork to where I could put it through my bank account because I no longer had access to any credit cards or my bank card and I'm currently in Mexico when this happened. As for the facility, it's clean knee which is definitely helpful during the summer when I'm moving things in and out. Thank you, Andre and thank you San Diego self Storage.
