SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY, FIND ANOTHER LOT…read more I'll start by saying that Val, the manager, is wonderful. She's incredibly responsive, kind, and truly treats customers like family. Honestly, the only reason I stayed as long as I did was because of her level of care and customer service. That said, the lot itself is not worth the price. I rent an outdoor gravel spot for my enclosed utility trailer, and in just two years, my rate jumped from $55/month to $74/month plus a mandatory $13/month insurance fee, bringing the total to $87/month. During my time there, my trailer was broken into (thankfully, the thief moved on after realizing it was empty), but others weren't so lucky, several had doors pried open or RV windows broken. When the facility was sold to a large corporation, prices went up sharply, but nothing about the lot improved. It's still gravel, security feels minimal, and you can barely see the faded parking lines when backing in. Overall, unless you're there just for Val's kindness, you'll get better value and security elsewhere.

Look elsewhere! I called to request a storage unit and spoke with the manager Bailey who held a…read moreunit for me and told me to come the next day and that they opened at 9. My husband showed up with 2 truckloads of our things at 10:20 and no one was there and it was obvious they were still closed from the night before. Customer service via the call center is a joke. We both were calling and despite talking to 4-5 people no one could help us and no one called us back as requested. My husband was able to use the kiosk to get a key and pay despite it restarting several times only to find out the gate code it provided didn't work. Finally after 11 someone showed up and let my husband in and he was able to unload the trucks into our unit. The following Monday we followed up to voice our frustration and let them know we weren't sure we were going to stay a few months as we intended. Long story short rather than an apology we were kicked out and told our stuff needed to be out the next day. We had to load up our things and find another storage location. Global Self Storage has terrible customer service and at the end of the day they might just kick you out if they don't like what you have to say. Not worth it!

Do not waste your time or money on this irresponsible, dishonest thief…read more I hired Anthony and 2 of his moving crew to move my disabled mother out of 1 single room in an assisted living facility in Castleton (after picking up 7 boxes, a mini fridge, and a microwave from my home in Southport 1st), and in to a new apartment in Fishers with her sister. 1) they didn't bring a dolly, restraining straps for items in the truck, or the wardrobe boxes we requested and they said the would bring. 2) because they didn't bring restraining straps, the top half of my moms China cabinet fell over and broke the glass shelves that they didn't even bother to take out and wrap (with the overpriced and unused wrapping material they still charged her for), and tried to tell me it was because China cabinet glass shelves are usually glued in (which I've never seen done in any kind of display cabinetry).  Anthony told me he would replace the shelves because he knew someone who could cut custom glass, and contact me either Tuesday the 2nd or Wednesday the 3rd with the details/update. 3) they literally took twice as long to move my mom's single room at the facility (4 hours), than the 2 man team from All Star Movers did for my Aunt's entire old apartment (2 hours). It actually ended up cheaper moving my Aunt's entire apartment ($575) from Muncie to Fishers, than to move my mom's single room ($620) from Castleton to Fishers. 4) in addition to breaking the China cabinet shelves, they also did something to my mom's medically necessary electric lift chair that helps her stand up (either dropped it, or jammed it through a doorway) that now causes it to pop and drop whenever she tries to use it to stand up. I have witnesses from the assisted living facility staff that her chair was in perfect working order earlier in the day before it was moved. (In fact it worked right before they moved it because she had to use it to transfer to her wheelchair!) We discovered this around 8pm that Monday night when she tried to use it to stand to get in the wheelchair and go to the bathroom. I immediately took a video and text it to him with the following 2 messages: "Uh... your guys did something to the recliner too" and "It didn't pop like that when she put it down before". The only message I got back from him about it was at 11:44 the next day, and I quote "I'm not sure how that's possible..for my guys to do that..can u turn it on its side and see if some is jammed in between it..please" to which I replied "I did right after I took that video. Nothing stood out as an obvious cause." That was the last contact I had with him. When I tried to text or call him on Monday November 8th to get an update, I found out that he had the audacity to block my number. "Free Msg: Receiver 3179751805 unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active." I am now looking at what we need to do to take him to small claims court. This is completely unacceptable. Especially since its against a disabled elder who only gets less than $800/month from SSI. Shame on you Anthony.  May you reap what you have sown.
