I cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired My Movers Inc. for an interstate move (about 12 hours away.) After a short phone call, they responded with a rough estimate based on the size of our home the following morning, which was a great response time. They scheduled an in-person walkthrough that week, showed up on time, and had an itemized, specific estimate by the end of it. We were able to schedule the move then and there, and were given guidelines on how to pack our things for the move and what wasn't allowed (e.g. liquids, fragile loose items, etc.) on the truck. Movers showed up right on schedule and cleared our packed belongings and furniture in under 2 hours. Similar story for unloading: they arrived right on time, and got all our stuff off the truck in 2 hours. Even though we didn't have a ton of stuff, I was impressed with how quickly they were able to load and unload. Everyone we interacted with throughout the process was friendly and polite. We ultimately came in slightly under the original estimate, which may not always be the case, but I appreciate when a business estimates high. Pleasant surprises are always better than unpleasant ones. :)

They were to get a 24 ft truck and instead, 2 16 ft trucks arrived. The movers reassured them that the items they packed would be sure to fit in a 24 ft truck. Alas, AFTER the trucks arrived in Indy, my dad got a call that their items would not all fit and asked him what things they could remove to donate. My dad had to then decide on a few things and agreed to get rid of a bookshelf, 2 chairs, and a long ladder, that he was hoping to keep, but had no choice since the truck was already in Indy. They also forced him to pay an additional $900 to keep other times that weren't going to fit, but he didn't want to give away. If he had wanted to keep all of his items, then he would have had to pay an additional $1500. If they had originally showed up in Columbus with the correct sized truck, all of this could have been avoided. The move story gets worse. When their items arrived at their new home a few weeks later, over $3000 worth of items were missing that they never consented to them throwing out, including two coffee tables, a queen bed, 4 chairs, and other boxes of items. Some items have been in the family for many decades and we will never get them back. My dad has sent multiple emails but still hasn't heard back. Long story short - highly recommend this company!…read more Moving day didn't go quite as planned -- the movers' truck broke down on the way to our house, which put us several hours behind schedule. But what really impressed me was how hard the crew worked to make up the time. They brought in additional people, hustled all day, and did everything they could to get us caught up. Everyone we worked with was polite and professional. There were a few minor issues with scuffs/chips to walls, baseboards, and flooring during the move. I reached out to the company, and while there was a brief delay in getting everything resolved (this is the height of moving season), they ultimately made everything right. They connected us directly with their handyman, who came out and repaired everything, going above and beyond and with a smile! After all was said and done, I really appreciated that the company stood behind their work and made sure everything was taken care of. I would use Colt again and have no hesitation recommending them. There were 30+ negative versus 2 positive. Reviews on there state they break and ruin your shit then won't reimburse. I haven't filed a claim because I'm no where near done unpacking yet but I won't be shocked to get completely ignored like everyone else and if that happens, I'll go to the BBB and anywhere else I can... news.. wherever. We paid them a crap ton of money so this kind of damage is insane. NEVER EVER HAVE THEM PACK FOR YOU! They did not wrap any of our furniture. They put gouges and scraped up walls in our old house. They left trash all over our old house... soda cans, bottles... all kinds of crap. They packed **SIX** family photo canvases together in one box with zero packing paper so the frames rubbed on each other and ruined the pics. Who does that?! So much stuff ruined. It cost us almost $20k to move, I can't afford to replace this stuff they ruined! Please think twice and ask around before you use Colt Movers. Look in the Westfield chatter and moms groups. Ask around. Don't rely solely on these reviews that they can manipulate.

I have her voicemail and would attach it here if reviews permitted that. I was told that I would receive a phone call prior to the movers arriving. I waited this morning and didn't receive one. Then I called was informed that the movers were there waiting for 45 minutes and that I was responsible for paying for that time they waited because someone wrote my phone number incorrectly. When I called, Ann said "normal people" would be where they are supposed to be. They decided to have three movers and NEVER informed me. They moved the same stuff from my old house to the storage with 2 movers. Costing me $77 more per hour more than anticipated. I didn't authorize an additional mover. The owner came to my house last time to give me a quote and left his business card. I have misplaced it (while moving) and Ann refuses to give me his contact info.
