Be careful hiring this company. If you have any items that are valuable and they damage it, the owner Chris will not cover your loss. We hired them to move a couch, loveseat, dresser and gun safe. The gun safe was described (weight and measurements), so he would know what his crew would be dealing with. His quote stated 3 guys, but only 2 guys showed up. They dropped the gun safe and damaged it beyond repair (confirmed by a dealer for the safe company). The safe cost $1200 and Chris said we would need to contact Yelp first. We did and Yelp was willing to give us $476 for the damage. When I reached out to Chris for the balance, he said we did not opt for the additional insurance coverage. Well he never mentioned anything about maybe needing additional insurance coverage for the job. He admitted that his crew damaged the safe, but is not willing to pay for the damages. So be very cautious if you are considering his service. FYI- there is no legal address for this business and he will not provide one when asked. Pretty sure he operates out of his house/car. Not a very reputable person. And don't believe his BS about how they value their customers. Other than that, the move was completed. I would only use his company if you are moving low value items, because if they destroy them, you won't feel any significant monetary loss. Oh, one other point, the company was opened under a false owner name. That way he can shield the actual ownership. There are ways to identify the actual owner, but it takes a litter knowledge.

couch ruined, put outside so the ppl that bought the house could move in their stuff. They failed to move it so I lost it

I had to change my review because at first this company I thought was a legitimate good one turns out I spoke too soon. they absolutely put me in the worst position I could ever be in my life to where i almost lost all my possessions and would have lost everything had it not been for the person that bought my house being the sweetest person in the world. first off they keep reassuring me that they're going to get my move done by midnight cuz I stated millions of times I needed it done by midnight. they reassured me a bunch of times and then they said they'd be here between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. they didn't show up until between 6:30 or 7:00. they sent three guys that at first seemed nice and started moving to big things upstairs and disassembling it and then 6 hours later hardly anything was done they didn't do their job! they grabbed all the little stuff so they wouldn't have to do the big stuff. The movers tried to get me to hire them outside of the company and said they'd give me cheaper rates and stuff and then turned around and told their boss that I was trying to bribe them and try to get them to you help me outside of the company which was a bold-faced lie and thankfully I had to proof through text messages. I'm going to post pictures on exactly what these people put me through. we were charged almost $2,000 for 8 hours and they didn't hardly do anything at all they didn't get any of the stuff that I asked them to get originally besides the bedroom upstairs that's it. on top of that they kept grabbing couches no cushions China cabinets just the bottom part not the top they weren't grabbing complete sets of things at all. it is now been almost a week and I still don't have all of my stuff because of these people hiring U-Hauls trying to hire more movers trying to get as many friends together as I can to help having stay at an Airbnb so that cost me money. this was the absolute worst experience of my life at the darkest time of my life which is unfortunate because I really needed a light at the end of the tunnel and these people did not provide that for me. I hope nobody hires these people and goes through what i went through. not only that I thought the communication was going well until I was hearing one thing from the movers and another thing from dispatch. and dispatch lied to me and said that the guy had a job to go to right after my job so he had to leave Even though I just told them that they did not finish their job that they were hired for at all they didn't even get half of it done. and it turns out that that was a lie too. they just wanted to leave because they didn't want to do their job. I know this because one of the workers actually told me that the guy didn't have a job after that that he just refused to do his job and straight told him to get his own U-Haul if he wants to help me but he wasn't helping me and they were leaving. I was so kind to them I even bought them a whole pizza and fed them because they said they hadn't eaten. it's people like this that disgust me just pure crooks. and then whenever I ask for help to finish the job because they didn't do their job and sent the company proof that they didn't do their job they stated that I didn't send them pictures of proof although I did and then said they can't extend their services at this time because I couldn't provide more pictures because obviously I had to be out of the house by midnight like I had stated before to them.... it's like they ignored the urgency of my situation and did not care about me (their customer) AT ALL! pathetic excuse for a company. no reprocusions to the workers worker for lying about their customer multiple times and making my big move a depressing and dark experience. Also these movers had the nerve to go to a broken window that could not open because it being broken and forced it open without asking me or getting my permission and then didn't tell me that they left it open and didn't even try to close it just left it that way in the middle of winter with no screen on it. what kind of bullshit is this? pictures with captions for all of it to show what I'm talking about this is the most honest review you will ever see.

A signed contract that the company violated and charged me nearly double the cost of what is in the agreement.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired My Movers Inc. for an interstate move (about 12 hours away.) After a short phone call, they responded with a rough estimate based on the size of our home the following morning, which was a great response time. They scheduled an in-person walkthrough that week, showed up on time, and had an itemized, specific estimate by the end of it. We were able to schedule the move then and there, and were given guidelines on how to pack our things for the move and what wasn't allowed (e.g. liquids, fragile loose items, etc.) on the truck. Movers showed up right on schedule and cleared our packed belongings and furniture in under 2 hours. Similar story for unloading: they arrived right on time, and got all our stuff off the truck in 2 hours. Even though we didn't have a ton of stuff, I was impressed with how quickly they were able to load and unload. Everyone we interacted with throughout the process was friendly and polite. We ultimately came in slightly under the original estimate, which may not always be the case, but I appreciate when a business estimates high. Pleasant surprises are always better than unpleasant ones. :)

We paid a very large amount for this service and also paid extra for their insurance coverage specifically to protect our valuables. During the packing process, they broke several items worth thousands of dollars. When we filed a claim, instead of taking responsibility or honoring the insurance we paid for, the owner was rude, dismissive, and outright hostile. We were essentially told "too bad, you should've packed it yourself," and "if you didn't want it broken, you shouldn't have hired us." That is completely unacceptable, especially from a business that charges for professional packing and insurance. Not only did they fail to protect our belongings, but they also refused to fairly address the damage and spoke to us in a shockingly unprofessional and offensive way. We trusted them during an already stressful time after a flood, and they made the situation much worse. I strongly warn others: do not use this company if you care about your property or expect basic professionalism and accountability. Paying extra for their insurance meant nothing, and the way we were treated afterward was insulting and outrageous.

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

However, I kept getting ads for U-Pack and decided to get a quote. TLDR - I am SO happy I went with this service as the process was transparent, simple, and convenient. I had about a studio apartment's worth of furniture in a 5x10 storage unit. The U-Pack team in Indy helped accommodate me and where the cube could be placed at my storage facility. The person who dropped off the cube was communicative, clear, and provided helpful advice for packing. One thing I did not realize I would need is LOTS of bungee cords and ratchet straps to hold things down, so be sure to have plenty on hand before your cube arrives. During the move, I checked the "moving dashboard" (the online portal that includes all the details of your move) religiously. It always had up-to-date information about where my cube was, which helped ease my anxiety about the move progress. My cube was picked up on a Wednesday in Indiana, and arrived the next Friday morning in California, which was right in the middle of my estimated time block (which was 5-7 business days). The movers who dropped it off were equally courteous and helpful, as I was putting my cube on the street. If you are moving to a city/area without a driveway, be sure to get all of the proper legal clearance to park your cube. I applied for a temporary no-parking permit for week to accommodate the cube if it arrived early or late. Some other tips: I cannot overstate how important it is to CALL the U-Pack customer service line for a quote/arrangements, as the online quote tool will shoot way above what your actual price will be. Secondly, the online dashboard and the ability to change details about your move online is very convenient and useful. I changed the drop-off time several times and it was always updated instantaneously. All in all, this service was seamless and helped me as a first time mover, and everyone from on-the-phone customer service reps to ABF Freight movers were exceptionally kind and helpful. I will absolutely use this service again and recommend to all.

1 STAR -- DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVING…read more We were quoted $1,400 for a full household move scheduled for January 27, 2026, confirmed multiple times over two weeks. This included 3 movers, 5 hours (including travel) and a free kitchen pack. We paid a deposit and reconfirmed all details by phone and text. On the morning of the move (9am), we were asked to reschedule due to crew issues. This wasn't possible as we had already packed, arranged childcare, and have 2 infant children. Arrival time kept being pushed back, and the movers didn't arrive until 3pm. I asked if there would be enough time for them to finish the job and they said yes. By early evening, the truck was full and the job was nowhere near complete. We were then told the movers were reaching their legal work-hour limit. At that point we learned: * Our move was allegedly not marked as confirmed * The free kitchen pack was missing from the manifest * The manifest incorrectly listed seven deep freezers (we have one) We were told only essential items could be unloaded and that the rest of our belongings would be stored overnight in freezing temperatures and we were required to pay $800 even though they job was not anywhere near done. We were then quoted $2,200 for that unfinished day, despite the original $1,400 quote. The following morning, no one arrived at the promised time and no phone call as promised. When they did arrive later, they required payment before unloading and stated the final total was $3,300. They offered two options . 1. Pay $2,200 which takes off the second day 2. Pay the full $3,334with a 25% discount We refused as we should not be responsible for the second day and them not completing the job as promised . They had our belongings returned to our original home. The moving crew themselves were professional and hardworking, but management and office communication--largely handled through a Texas corporate office--were entirely misleading and ineffective. DO NOT TRUST THE QUOTE or the communication. I would not recommend this company.
