I cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired My Movers Inc. for an interstate move (about 12 hours away.) After a short phone call, they responded with a rough estimate based on the size of our home the following morning, which was a great response time. They scheduled an in-person walkthrough that week, showed up on time, and had an itemized, specific estimate by the end of it. We were able to schedule the move then and there, and were given guidelines on how to pack our things for the move and what wasn't allowed (e.g. liquids, fragile loose items, etc.) on the truck. Movers showed up right on schedule and cleared our packed belongings and furniture in under 2 hours. Similar story for unloading: they arrived right on time, and got all our stuff off the truck in 2 hours. Even though we didn't have a ton of stuff, I was impressed with how quickly they were able to load and unload. Everyone we interacted with throughout the process was friendly and polite. We ultimately came in slightly under the original estimate, which may not always be the case, but I appreciate when a business estimates high. Pleasant surprises are always better than unpleasant ones. :)

About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

I reached out to the company, and while there was a brief delay in getting everything resolved (this is the height of moving season), they ultimately made everything right. We paid them a crap ton of money so this kind of damage is insane. NEVER EVER HAVE THEM PACK FOR YOU! They did not wrap any of our furniture. They put gouges and scraped up walls in our old house. They left trash all over our old house... soda cans, bottles... all kinds of crap. They packed **SIX** family photo canvases together in one box with zero packing paper so the frames rubbed on each other and ruined the pics. Who does that?! So much stuff ruined. They left two college girls without movers and without a storage unit and were less than helpful with advice. Other than offering for them to move out a day later, but the girls lease was already up, and they had already turned all their stuff in. You can't just stay an extra day in an apartment for free, and it's Memorial Day weekend and it's not like they could go extend their lease. Didnt even offer to help in trying to find other movers or another storage unit. We are not from the area and this was just a really disappointing experience. we offered to help them load the truck ourselves and begged them to still move them because the lease was up and the girls HAD to move out. I am speechless at the lack of professionalism, and instead of offering guidance or another moving company number, they got upset and raised their voice at us instead like we were at fault. I understand things come up, but you could at least be a decent business person and try to offer solutions, especially for people who are out of town.

They wrapped a lot of items in plastic. We moved from a 2nd level 2-bed 1-bath apt. to a 1-story home. I would have appreciated better estimates from the company. We were quoted an hourly rate and a 1-hr travel fee. The estimated time was 2 hours and for arrival at 3 PM. The arrival time was 5 PM, and the move lasted until after 10 PM. So the time estimates were not correct. This also increased the travel fee. So 5 hours labor, the travel fee, plus gas mileage expense, and some supplies, for everything including the $100 deposit, it was $1,300 to move. I was a bit shocked but maybe that's normal with today's prices. There were no issues with the move.

They also damaged our hardwood floors and walls! I was going to get regular piano movers but they said they could do it. They refuse to pay us for the damage. They said it would take 3-4 hours to move us b/c my husband had all of the boxes . All they had to only move the large furniture, and it took them 8 hours @ &259/hour! Needless to say, what should have cost$1000 ended up costing $3000!! They only had to move us 2.5 miles! They left more furniture at old house and we never saw this crew again! I called the office and they had to send another crew out to finish the job at 6:00! Oh, and they broke one of our tall boy dressers-- lifted it from the middle, and they should have lifted it from the bottom, like moist movers!! also asked for their tips (one mover in particular) every half hour!
