They were half the price of other the larger moving companies, so my expectations were a little low, but were blown away! They quoted an hourly rate, which is a little risky not knowing how quickly they'd move, but they worked hard and got things done efficiently with reasonable breaks. They could have been a little gentler with some of the items, but I did pack the boxes myself thinking I would move some of them myself, so I can't fault them too much. I would definitely recommend Anthony with Grade A Movers for your moving needs.

Do not waste your time or money on this irresponsible, dishonest thief…read more I hired Anthony and 2 of his moving crew to move my disabled mother out of 1 single room in an assisted living facility in Castleton (after picking up 7 boxes, a mini fridge, and a microwave from my home in Southport 1st), and in to a new apartment in Fishers with her sister. 1) they didn't bring a dolly, restraining straps for items in the truck, or the wardrobe boxes we requested and they said the would bring. 2) because they didn't bring restraining straps, the top half of my moms China cabinet fell over and broke the glass shelves that they didn't even bother to take out and wrap (with the overpriced and unused wrapping material they still charged her for), and tried to tell me it was because China cabinet glass shelves are usually glued in (which I've never seen done in any kind of display cabinetry).  Anthony told me he would replace the shelves because he knew someone who could cut custom glass, and contact me either Tuesday the 2nd or Wednesday the 3rd with the details/update. 3) they literally took twice as long to move my mom's single room at the facility (4 hours), than the 2 man team from All Star Movers did for my Aunt's entire old apartment (2 hours). It actually ended up cheaper moving my Aunt's entire apartment ($575) from Muncie to Fishers, than to move my mom's single room ($620) from Castleton to Fishers. 4) in addition to breaking the China cabinet shelves, they also did something to my mom's medically necessary electric lift chair that helps her stand up (either dropped it, or jammed it through a doorway) that now causes it to pop and drop whenever she tries to use it to stand up. I have witnesses from the assisted living facility staff that her chair was in perfect working order earlier in the day before it was moved. (In fact it worked right before they moved it because she had to use it to transfer to her wheelchair!) We discovered this around 8pm that Monday night when she tried to use it to stand to get in the wheelchair and go to the bathroom. I immediately took a video and text it to him with the following 2 messages: "Uh... your guys did something to the recliner too" and "It didn't pop like that when she put it down before". The only message I got back from him about it was at 11:44 the next day, and I quote "I'm not sure how that's possible..for my guys to do that..can u turn it on its side and see if some is jammed in between it..please" to which I replied "I did right after I took that video. Nothing stood out as an obvious cause." That was the last contact I had with him. When I tried to text or call him on Monday November 8th to get an update, I found out that he had the audacity to block my number. "Free Msg: Receiver 3179751805 unable to receive message - Message Blocking is active." I am now looking at what we need to do to take him to small claims court. This is completely unacceptable. Especially since its against a disabled elder who only gets less than $800/month from SSI. Shame on you Anthony.  May you reap what you have sown.

The day of the move, the team showed up early and went right to work. These guys worked all day and were extremely polite. Early in the day they knew the job would not be completed that day. They came back on a Saturday with amazing attitudes, ready to go. The only thing that was broken was our fault. The guts were careful every step of the way. Great value, great service. Giving somebody all of your possessions, and trusting them with them, is a huge leap in faith and trust. Everyone took pride in what they did and double checked that my wife and I were satisfied. They even will come back to hang pictures in 10 days. (My wife made me do that...) They took pictures of everything in the entire house before they started packing. Once unpacked at the new house, they put everything away as well and really did a great job of trying to mirror how we had things. I cannot recommend these guys more...you don't have to be a "Senior" to use their services but their business model makes them stand out. You have to meet Fred, at least once! 1/5 Stars -- Unprofessional, careless, and zero accountability…read more A friend recently hired Fred's, and the way her belongings were treated was completely unacceptable. Her expensive couch was dragged across the ground without any protective wrapping, leaving it damaged and soiled. To make matters worse, the crew handled the bare upholstery without gloves, leaving sweat stains all over it. They also banged up her door frame and left the front door wide open when they left. When these issues were brought to the owner, Fred denied it ever happened, made excuses, and treated the situation with total arrogance instead of taking responsibility. If you value your furniture and your property, do not hire this company!

My roommate reached out and did the coordinating. He filled out the quote form and they never gave us a quote. The woman he coordinated with said she didn't work in the field so she wouldn't be able to give us an estimate even though we provided a list of items needed moved and our two houses were only 7 minutes away from each other. We confirmed two days before and the day before to make sure the move was still on, as the weather was going to be very cold. We were moving in December. They confirmed the time with us, a window of 9-10 am and showed up at 11:20 am. They did not have uniforms on (the website said they would be uniformed) and were not dressed for the cold. Some were wearing zip up hoodies. No jackets and no gloves. The website also they said they would provide mattress bags and they did not. Instead they brought mine and my 3 roommates' mattress out to the curb and set them in the snow while they loaded up the truck with other items. They asked to borrow our tools and then we never got them back nor did we get our hand cart back. We can only assume that they must have taken it with them when they left as it is hard to lose a hand cart! When we got to the new house our team of five men had dropped down to three. The move was taking even longer because of that. We were being charged hourly and now the team of movers was down man power. No one let us know why. Once they were done getting everything into the new house wooden floors were scratched and corners were shredded to the point there were little piles of paint and wood on the floor. My roommate's bed frame was taken apart (with our now missing screw driver) and put back together so poorly we realized it was actually BROKEN! It has pull out drawers that now when you pull on them the whole side of the bed frame comes off. His dresser with a marble top was scratched beyond belief! Other stuff happened and was damaged, but I don't need to write a whole novel. In the end I was put on the spot to pay. The means of communication when it came to paying was confusing. We were not told how it was going to be done before hand. In the end I, the person who did not coordinate with the team, was passed a phone from one of the movers and was ON SPEAKER while a woman from the office asked TWO TIMES if I would like to leave a tip in addition to the total price ($1,800, way over what we thought it would be. But hey they didn't give us a quote). I refused both times while on speaker in front of the three man crew that was left. I paid with my credit card over the phone and handed the iPhone back to the mover and they left. My roommate who was the point person for the move was then called five minutes later by the same woman at the office and she told my roommate that I did not leave a tip and asked if he would like to leave a tip. By this point we had done a sweep of the house and saw the damages in full. We documented the damages and sent over photos. We were told that management would be contacted, but we have received no updates from them on how to make this right. Their website states they have damage protection, so I assume they would be able to cover damages or at least give us some money back! I don't recommend this moving service. I really don't know what else to say.
