TRAILER WAS STOLEN FROM PROPERTY MAY 12, around 8am. ABBA STORAGE DID NOT CALL OR NOTIFY US UNTIL 12pm on may 13, today. The day I'm writing this review. I am just now getting home after an absolutely unacceptable experience with this facility and its employees. My family and I have been renting a space at Abba storage in Concord for approximately eight years we have stored our Coleman travel trailer there for the entirety of this time yesterday morning somebody came in behind another customer with a U-Haul truck and hitched it up to our trailer and stole it in broad daylight, then on top of it, ABBA Storage, did not call and notify us about our trailer being stolen from their property until approximately 12 PM the following day May 13, the employee at the front desk, lied to me and said that she called me and left me a message after going through my phone records At length she never once called me nor did she leave me a message, hence our shock and surprise finding out the day after that our property had been stolen. When we arrived on Abba Storage's property to discuss this with them. They also told us that they have not filed the police report or called the police. They did not notify anybody about what happened or about our trailer being stolen from their property. ******** EDIT the police officer confirmed that when asked WHY they didn't notify us sooner regarding our stolen property they said they were " too busy" .......! Woman at the front desk also said they know and have known that people have been renting storages to steal peoples property! So that was nice to know and find out! Supposedly the manager does hourly checks on the property to ensure that all trailers and property looks like it's undisturbed and nothing looks out of place, clearly they are not doing that because my trailer was taken so boldly , at 8:22 AM. When asked direct questions from the police officers about the maintenance of the facility and their protocol and procedures. Those were pretty much unanswered and a lot of "uhhh" and we "didn't see it!" Those were the responses. They have been absolutely unhelpful. They have been unapologetic. They did not once offer any sort of consolation or apology for what it happened. "24/7 camera monitoring" should provide you little to no comfort here-- Their cameras are antiquated and are somewhat fuzzy and blurry. When we were going through the footage to review what we could find and what we could see on the footage in order to persecute this thief-- we could barely make out anything. The cameras on the facility are not monitoring every single angle that you think that they are and they certainly don't have high quality footage in order to successfully obtain evidence. I'm not even sure there are enough cameras to make sure that they're capturing everything on ABBA's property. The response from ABBA was extremely disappointing. They have been rude dismissive and frankly, they haven't taken any responsibility for this happening at all. Do not store your personal belongings or property here they do not care about their customers or their personal belongings, and that is a fact.. Their gate is open literally all morning we witnessed tens of cars, simply following each other in back to back to back --and while I DO understand that at a storage facility tailgating, and that kind of stuff is of the nature, it is ALSO the responsibility the storage facility to maintain safe environment for their clients and for their clients property!!!!! If you have property stored here I would recommend you relocate it, expeditiously.

Getting a per-hour quote and scheduling with their team was super quick and easy; they were very responsive and their pricing is very competitive. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently + carefully to pack up the home and deconstruct the furniture. They were also more than willing to move around furniture at our new place if we found that we wanted it oriented differently. All-in-all, the experience took longer than originally quoted but that was because we had a LOT to pack and move. Again, the quote is based on the number of hours to complete the move, so I still fully believe that the service is fairly and competitively priced. I'm also very grateful to the team of movers Ludwig, Simon, Jose, and Lupe for staying so long and working so hard that day. They arrived on time and worked very hard and quick to get everything loaded up onto the truck. The movers were very professional and had all the supplies we and they needed. We had some big wire racks and they were able to saran wrap a bunch of boxes on them. They also had some wardrobe boxes that had a rod to hang stuff on. We had stuff at two locations so they had to pick stuff up at one, leave some stuff from spot 1 behind at spot 2, and pick up everything else from spot two before taking it all to its final landing spot. A couple things did break in transit, some cubbies and a glass baking dish, the dish was my fault though as it wasn't wrapped at all, and was in a collapsible bin. They were also able to take away an old mattress, it was a little more expensive that my boyfriend was originally quoted, but after a long day of packing and moving, we were fine paying it to not have to deal with it.

His quote was higher than others but he said he would use 2 trucks and 5 movers. His quote included travel time and cost. He recommended to ask for a 'not to exceed' price with the mover we chose. Denis was very open and honest in his assessment of our move. As well as a not to exceed price he also said he would charge less if it turned out to not be such a big job. We decided to go with Statewide mainly because of our conversations with Denis and because he said it would need 2 trucks. We suspected that and none of the other movers we contacted said this. Denis also said he would like to load on one day and deliver the next. Denis's team showed up on time and worked non stop loading not 2 but 3 trucks. They had a third truck brought over when they saw in person how much stuff we had. They were extremely respectful and careful with our stuff. We had told Denis everything would be boxed except a couple of mirrors and TVs. In reality it is very difficult to pack everything. Denis's team did not complain and just packed the last things into boxes themselves. Our old house has pretty easy access with double doors and fairly wide stairs. The new house has a sloping drive down to the front door, single doors and narrow stairs. The movers put everything into the rooms we asked them to which included some very tight squeezes. There was only one item, a large metal cabinet that had been in our garage that they said they could not get in. We do not have a garage in the new house and the cabinet could not get through our doorways. We have a large 3-piece sectional that we had measured and didn't think would fit. We had arranged with a specialist service to take it apart, move it in, and assemble again. So we had asked the movers to leave it at the front of the house. When everything was moved in a couple of the guys asked if they could try getting the sectional inside. We said you can try but don't think you'll manage it. The 'lead' mover agreed. But they managed to get all 3 parts in. In our opinion this was exceptional and went above and beyond. I know this is a ridiculously long review but this was such a great experience that I wanted to provide these details. Oh, and Denis only charged his original quote - he was in his rights to charge the not to exceed price but kept with the original. We cannot recommend this company enough

Fair business practices: We rented a covered space for our…read moretrailer for many months (+/- a year.) The onsite manager was helpful, although not always responsive quickly. The covered space was ok but the maintenance to the support arm that impacted getting in and out of the space never happened. My main complaint was their business practice policy regarding rental reimbursement of partial use of the 3 month rental interval period they sign you up for. Many months into our space rental, we paid our upcoming 3 month rent for the space. Near that time, we were also notified, as were all the space renters, that we would need to move our trailer out of the space for 3 days the following month ( a few weeks into the 3 month prepaid rental period ) due to gravel maintenance and grading. When we moved our trailer, we decided to relocate our trailer closer to our new home and give notice to Mighty Vault that we vacated our space by email and phone message, and we were seeking reimbursement of unused rent. Up to a week later, we received a call and we were told the business policy was they do not reimburse for prepaid rent, that we would have needed to go month to month before the 3 month prepayment, and then we would only have paid for one month, not 3 months. The business kept the more than $400 of unused rent. Additionally, we were told that this process was included in the initial contract information done many months before, which we had not recalled, and they had no way to reimburse partial amounts the of 3 month prepayment. While I understand contractually, I had not recalled that information. I find the policy as unfair in practice to the consumer and do not recommend this business as fair and trustworthy.

For example, others charge extra for things like wardrobe boxes, art packing, and the drill of getting the No Parking signs in place. The last thing I wanted to hassle with, standing in line at some City Hall office. Moses was true to his word.
