They're ok. The people here are very nice and the location is really convenient - at 92 and 101. It's a little hard to find (behind Taco Bell) unless you are looking for it, but that's all fine. From a price perspective, about the same as other storage locations. HOWEVER, no elevator to get to the 2nd floor storage units? Deal Breaker. read more

I made a reservation the day prior to me having to DRIVE ALL THE WAY to LOS ANGELES AND BACK to the Bay Area. I left at 0430 and left LA right at noon to make it to Budget before they close. They called me to confirm the reservation on my way to LA and I explained the situation and that I would be there today. I arrived at Budget at 5:10 and stood in front of the door for 18 mins for the young dirty blonde girl to come back and ask me what I needed help with. I explained who I was and she said she was closed. I explained I've been standing here for 20 minutes. She said, "Yea. I was out on the property doing stuff." I explained I just drove all the way from LA to make it here in time to get my storage unit which I reserved. Before she opened the office door, she says she already "shut down the system." Wow! Great customer service and an awesome way to avoid work before closing. Just spend the last 30 mins away from the office "doing stuff." I would rather lose their promotional price to pay double elsewhere. Now I have things piled in my hybrid until I find another storage unit. Thanks budget!!! The funny part is I believe \/\/\/Mara R.\/\/\/ is the same person who told me she was doing stuff! So no there's nothing you could ever do for me or to fix the situation. read more

My condo is going through a renovation and you never know how much stuff you have until you have to pack it up. Well, I needed a storage facility. I did a little research and saw Budget Mini Storage is only half mile away from where I live. I also saw a review from a friend of mine giving it a great rating. I don't see her review anymore, so not sure if she is still a customer. Nevertheless, I gave a call and spoke to Kathy. I was in the middle of a knee injury and she was very nice to talk to. I stopped by to check out the facility. Kathy showed me a drive up unit and a second floor unit. Because of my knee, I was leaning (no pun intended) towards a drive up unit. The very next day I went back to seal the deal. Katy was in the office and she is also a very nice person to talk to. She helped me with all questions and concerns. She got the paperwork rolling and even though I had decided on the drive up unit that Kathy showed me, Katy took the time to show me another drive up unit that has a new roll up door. Helped a friend move in the area. The property is older but very clean. Good security presence and convenient to the apartment we were moving the stuff from. The gal in the office was very friendly and offered a great deal on the second floor. We won't need the stuff for 5-6 months, so the lack of an elevator was alright considering what we saved on the move in special. The manager checked on us to see if we needed anything. And while this property is a bit older, the facilities are kept clean, and up to date. I rented for 2+ years and security was never an issue; the secure access was always a breeze and never had issues getting to my belongings when I needed to. We needed a storage facility while we were in the process of selling our condo and moving to a new home. I filled out the online form and received a call back within an hour, went to look at the facility that afternoon, and reserved our unit all in the same day. Excellent service I had to rent a small storage for a month and wanted to check out this storage place before I would signed up. Frankly speaking, I didn't expect much. But once I met the manager and how sincer the manager was, I did signed the space even there is no elevator or cart to transfer my boexes. Overall the storage is simple and small, however it is clean. This was important for me! I have rented a few different storage units before so I know how these storage units like. Until the end of the month, I have gone back to the place a few times and the place is always clean and there is no funky smells like that. Bonus, when I called the office to give my notice before the office was open, I thought I had to leave my message to the voice mail but the answering service was answering my call and I gave my notice in person. Overcharged and unable to recoup funds. Ground floor unit was near a canal and I sustained mold damage on almost everything, primarily books and media. Manager Beverly was lovely and kind, but this property has undergone changes in ownership and the new company is not tenant-friendly. Keep an eye on rate changes and make sure you are being charged correctly. read more
